INSPIRE SOMEONE TODAY
As we navigate the complexities of life, it's essential to remember that every one of us needs encouragement - that divine support that inspires confidence and a will to continue. The words we speak have the power to either build up or tear down the people around us, making it imperative that we choose to be vessels of hope and motivation.
In Isaiah 35:3-4, we are exhorted to "Strengthen those who have tired hands...encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, 'Be strong, and do not fear.'" This scripture serves as a poignant reminder of the diverse ways we can offer encouragement to those around us.
We can strengthen those with tired hands, such as teachers, healthcare workers, parents, and pastors, who pour their hearts into serving others. We can encourage those with weak knees, including grandparents, senior citizens, veterans, and athletes, who may be struggling with the wear and tear of life. And we can speak words of courage to those with fearful hearts, reminding them that they are not alone and that God is with them.
As we seek to encourage others, let's follow the example of Rebecca Barlow Jordan, who asks Jesus each morning, "How can I encourage someone today? And who?" He is always faithful to answer, often through His Word. By listening to His promptings and following through, we can be beacons of hope in a world that desperately needs it.
The apostle Paul reminds us to "Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith" (Galatians 6:10 AMPC). As we focus on strengthening the faith of others, we will be amazed by how much we are energized and blessed in the process.
Let us ask Jesus to help us encourage someone today, inviting Him to speak through us and being prepared for His answers. May we be vessels of His love, pouring out encouragement and hope to those around us, and may we be blessed as we bless others.
