WITH IS YOUR OCCUPATION?
Genesis 46:31- / 47:1-6
Your location is a determining factor to fulfilling purpose. There is indeed a place for your manifestation, and if you are out of this place, you cannot function.
There’s a spiritual environment for your investment. God called Abraham to go to the land that He will show him, which was Canaan. God insisted that Abraham leave his father and mother and journey to the land flowing with milk and honey. Why? Abraham would not have been able to “occupy” in the land of the Chaldeans where he was initially located.

Your occupation requires a “shepherd’s fragment” what this means is that no matter what career you find yourself, find that niche that magnifies the glory of God. You’re a doctor? Heal the sick. You’re a lawyer? Adjourn for the helpless. It’s not enough to just be a professional, how does the profession help those around you like Christ did?

We are disguised as lawyers but we are called to people. This is our divine occupation. The shepherds heart is at the basis of every single thing we are called to do. Luke 19:26 explains the need to use your talents for the benefit of God’s kingdom. That is the sole purpose. If not, it’ll be taken away from you! And given to those who value it. Those who used their gifts wisely God blessed and replenished.
In summary, our occupation is primarily to be shepherds, for shepherds get the best of the land, and are called to people as Christ was on earth.

There is a place for every grace; a geographical, social, as well as spiritual location for you to occupy to fulfill God's purpose for your life. God who is All powerful could have chosen to bless Abraham in Ur of the Chaldeans, but he needed to be relocated to access the grace of God for his occupation.
Identify your 'space' and may the grace of God bring you to your place of occupation and dominion in Him.

As we prepare to usher in the new year, its usually a time where individuals and institutions take stock of the outgoing year. But remember that God, doesn't deal with time or space like human beings do. God deals with seasons.

So as you take stock, reflect on the season of life you are currently in, be assured that for every season of pain, hurt or negativity you experienced in 2017, there is coming a season of rejoicing, harvest and healing in the coming year.

Gen 8: 22 "as long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease"
Ecc 3: 4 "A time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance"
