PRAYER POINTS FOR OCTOBER 2019
THE HELPER
John 14:15-18
John 14:16 (NKJV) "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever”
Another Helper: Another expression, or description of the Holy Spirit, in the scripture is the Helper. The Holy Spirit is our Helper. So, believers are not a group of helpless people, because we have the Helper, the Holy Spirit, who is our very present help in all seasons of life. The Holy Spirit gives expression to His office, as our helper in diverse ways. In executing His ministry as our Helper, He can show up, as our Comforter, our Advocate, our Counsellor, our Intercessor, our Encourager, just to ensure we are not left comfortless, or as orphans. He brings all things to our remembrance, to help us fulfil our destinies, and to please the Father. The step to the cross was a difficult one for our Lord Jesus Christ, but the Holy Spirit was there with Jesus, giving Him necessary assistance to offer Himself, without spot to the Lord, as a sacrifice for our sin. We will need Him to manifest, as our Helper in 2019. The stories of success and testimonies of triumph, in 2019 will demand more than human assistance, as such, we are committing October 2019 and the whole of the coming year in to the hands of God, for the Holy Spirit, to assume His office as our Helper, in the name of Jesus Christ.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Let us begin to appreciate the Lord for October 2018, for His kindness toward us and members of our families, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Let us begin to commit October 2019 into the hands of the Lord, asking the Holy Spirit to come and reign and rule over our lives and activities, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, with the Holy Spirit on our side we shall not lack for help. We shall be marvellously helped by the Spirit of the Lord, in all our endeavours, teaching us the winning strategy, in the marketplace, and bringing to our remembrance sanctified ideas, that no one can contradict, in the name of Jesus Christ (John 14:26).
4. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, we shall not lose the consciousness of our connection with Christ, and we shall not be distracted with our success and progress, our Helper the Holy Spirit shall continually witness to us, and through us the Lordship of Christ, in all our activities, in Jesus’ name. (John 15:26).
5. Let declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, we shall maximize the advantage of the Helper’s presence in our lives, businesses, ministries, and careers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:7).
6. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, we shall not trust in the arm of flesh, because the Lord our Helper shall be with us, fighting and winning all our battles for us, in the name of Jesus Christ (2Chronicles 32:8).
7. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, we shall not beg, struggle, or lobby for the assistance of kings, or princes against our enemies, but the hand of the Lord our God shall be upon us for good by His Spirit, giving victory all the way, in the name of Jesus Christ (Ezra 8:22).
8. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, helpers shall rise from different groups and genders, from various races with necessary resources, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to assist us in our mission, in the name of Jesus Christ (1Chornicle 12:18, Esther 9:3).
9. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, by the marvellous help of the Spirit of the Lord, our entrepreneurial spirit shall be energized, enabling us to create jobs for men and women helping us to spread abroad, through prosperity, in the name of Jesus Christ (2Chronicles 26:15).
10. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, we and our children shall not suffer like those who have no helper, because our Comforter is on our side, and His great power in our favour in the name of Jesus Christ (Eccl. 4:1).
11. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, we shall not weep, cry, or sorrow, because our Comforter shall stand by us, and with us, and the enemy shall not prevail over our lives, and our children shall not be desolate, in the name of Jesus Christ (Lamentation 1:16)
12. Let us declare and prophesy, that throughout 2019, we shall excel in prayer and intercession; we shall constantly breakthrough into the realm of divine responses, by the help of the Spirit of the Lord, who gives assistance in our weaknesses, by interceding for us, in the name of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:26).
