7 Counter-intuitive Things To Avoid When Building A Successful Business [and Personal Life]

Dear loved one,

These are 7 things you MUST avoid to successfully build your business and personal life

Avoid Conflict – Conflict erodes peace. To be successful in business and in life, you need a healthy dose of peace constantly. Conflict drains energy and resources that can be better utilised profitably.

Avoid Burnout – You are only as effective as your health. Take care of it. Health is wealth is a golden phrase. To achieve success in your life and business, you need to avoid burnout. Learn the very important skill of delegation and also learn to say NO.

Avoid Rumours – Rumours are prolific time wasters. Whatever you cannot verify, don’t pass on and refrain from taking action based on rumoured facts.

Avoid Busyness – Let productivity be your watchword. Be productive, don’t be busy.

Avoid Lies – It takes so much effort, resources and even being a genius to keep up with lies. Even after all that, lies are bound to be exposed. Be a person of integrity and build your business on integrity.

Avoid Scandals – This is applicable to both personal and business platforms. Be sensitive enough to protect your name and your business / brand image.

Avoid Family disruptions – Many businesses collapse because the families attached to the business are challenged. This can be business owner’s families, employee’s families, partner’s families etc. Be intentional about building a happy home, and you’ll see amazing results both in your personal life and business.

Have a great week.

Shalom all,

My attention has been drawn to d message concerning d date for the next HH meeting.

Indeed and unfortunately some of our members erroneously assumed (and quite correctly) dat HH meeting was scheduled for yesterday, 9th March.

For the avoidance of doubt, the meeting is scheduled to hold on Sunday 16th March i.e this coming sunday as published earlier.

This became necessary since we noticed that some members seem to be faced with multiple allegiances that is affecting our meeting days.

We are optimistic dat this issue along wit many others will be addressed at d forth coming meeting.

My sincere apologies to our enthusiastic and committed members that came to d venue of the meeting yestetday. We apologize for the mix up and hope that u continue wit d same enthusiasm in the pursuit of this laudable obtective.

Once again, date is Sunday 16th March by 12 noon at the Nation of Yahweh Idimu.

Attendance is mandatory for every member of HH.

Thank you

PROCRASTINATION (2)

Productivity is the essence of work in any life endeavour. Everyone desires that their work style should translate into quantifiable progress in their career and business pursuits. One the worst use of time is trying to do well what shouldn't be done in the first place? To commit to a higher level of productivity we need to buy up time (opportunities) by focusing on activities that contribute the greatest value to our work.

The value of anything in your priority list determines your productivity level. Ask yourself this week, "What is the most valuable use of my time right now?" And whatever that is be sure you focus your energy on that. The ability to discipline yourself to work on your priority tasks makes the greatest difference in your life productivity which becomes the key quality that makes everything else possible for you. One thing is needful; it is the principle behind setting our priorities, even in the midst of multitasking one thing becomes urgent and important.

This is how you can apply this to your work week; make a list of everything that you need to do on your schedule. Analyze the list and select the three to five things that are more important than everything else put together. Put your energy into it, measure at the end of the week how productive you are and then apply same over to quantify your progress.

Have a great week!

Shalom

PROCRASTINATION

Procrastination can be a hindrance to our productivity in life. When you procrastinate you are literally saying two things to yourself, one "It's easier to avoid this than to face it". The other one is "It will be easier to handle this tomorrow or at later times" Both stance are not good enough.

There is a cost to procrastination. Procrastination causes problems. Procrastination takes a problem and makes it a crisis. The longer you wait to start, the harder it is to begin. Procrastination wastes opportunities. "If you won't plough in the cold, you won't eat at harvest." When opportunity in life knocks, open the door! Take the advantage while you've got it. If you don't, you'll miss it. Opportunities lost may be hard to regain. We only have the first opportunity to make a lasting impression

Procrastination can hurt other people. Laziness can prevent us from being loving. Love requires commitment, energy, and work. A lot of people just don't want to work at being loving; it's easier to be lazy. Many relationships suffer because sometimes we are unwilling to make the effort necessary to save such relationships. This week let's take a stock of areas we may have been procrastinating, make the necessary adjustment to live a more productive life.

Have a great week!

WHY WASTE TIME!
Dear loved one,

The story is told in a Mexican fishing village where a tourist complimented the locals on the quality of their fish. He asked how long it took to catch them. "Not very long." they answered in unison. "So why didn't you stay out longer to catch more?" The fishermen explained that their catches were sufficient to meet their economic needs. "But what do you do with the rest of your time?" "We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children, and take siestas. In the evenings, we go to the village centre, see our friends, play the guitar and enjoy the evening breeze together."

The tourist interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You can start by fishing longer every day, sell the extra catches. With the extra income, you can buy a bigger boat, then a second one until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can negotiate directly with the processing plants and eventually open your own plant. You can then leave this village and move to Mexico City or even New York City and from there you can run your growing enterprise."

"How long would that take asked the villagers?" "Twenty or perhaps twenty-five years." replied the tourist. "And what happens after that?" Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting," answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!" Really and after that?" asked the fishermen. "After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings with your friends." "With all due respect sir, but that's exactly what we are doing now. So what's the point wasting twenty-five years?" asked the fishermen.

The admonishment this week is for you to define where you are going in life and be sensitive enough to know when you are there, for where there is no vision human has tendency to be distracted by others opinions strongly swayed to accommodate what they think you should be doing. We are designed by The Almighty to become great in life, we are not human doing but rather human being. What we become is what we can see from the inside-out of our divinity.

Have a great week!
Shalom!
