Preamble:
Matthew 7:20-23
Don’t be deceived by what you do for God. You may be in sin and still be healing people for God. Pride what God tells you what to do over everything.

One of the weights that destroys destiny is because some people think they can run the race alone – Genesis 12:1

From the beginning of man’s race to the end, we will need God – John 15:1-4
You must consistently walk with God to get the details of Him.

One of the weights that people have is taking up responsibility without figuring out if it will take away God or not. Don’t measure your success by money alone.

God can give you anything, but He will never give you what will replace Him

James 4:8
Every step you take towards God will determine how close you will be to God. You determine how connected you are to God. If you start staying away, God begins to stay away.

HOW CLOSE DO YOU WANT GOD TO BE TO YOU? YOU DETERMINE IT!

MESSAGE: BARRIERS TO PRODUCTIVITY // PART 1

TEXT: John8:32

Preamble: A church is productive as its members. A family is as productive as its members.
It is not the truth that makes you free, but the truth you know and apply.
Not every truth makes you free, it is the area you apply the truth that makes you free
General truth doesn’t make people free, but specific truth.

All through the scripture, life is likened to a race – 1 Corinthians 9:24-26, and if you are to get prize, you need to run. Until you run, you won’t arrive there. Some people don’t obtain the prize because they don’t define the race before running. Uncertainty of where you are going will make go where you shouldn’t go.

Hebrews 12:1 – To be productive, there are things you need to fight or lay aside.
1. Sin. Sin will weaken you and you will not be able to run the race. Sin is one of the greatest deterrents to productivity. Sin is expensive so that whatever pleasure you get from it, you will regret it.

 Sin deceives people – Hebrews 3:13
 Sin hardens people – If they don’t catch them in it, people never own up – Hebrews 3:13. Anything God frowns on, and you find excuse for it, it is rebellion. – Romans 6:23
 Sin is enticing – Proverbs 1:10

HOW TO DEAL WITH SIN
- Confess it – 1 John 1:9. Whatever you confess, God forgives. His forgiveness cleanses
- Forsake. Confession is to God, forsaking is for you – Proverbs 28:13. The forsaking aspect is work. 1 Corinthians 7:1,2
• Sin sinks people

2. Weight
• Too much sleep – Proverbs 20:13; 6:6-11
• Procrastination – Proverbs 24:30. While you keep procrastinating, things are getting bad.
