INTRODUCTION
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you as we begin our journey of RISING ABOVE RESISTANCE, Part 1.
Every believer will encounter seasons of opposition. Resistance may appear in different forms, criticism, obstacles, delays, discouragement, misunderstanding, or unexpected challenges. Yet opposition is not always a sign that God is absent. Often, it is evidence that progress is taking place.
Many people abandon their pursuits when resistance arises, but those who understand God's promises remain steadfast. The Scriptures teach that victory does not belong to those who never face battles, but to those who trust God through them.
God never promised a life without challenges, but He promised that no weapon formed against His people would prosper. Therefore, believers can move forward confidently, knowing that divine victory is their heritage.
REAL LIFE SCENARIO
A young entrepreneur launched a business after years of preparation and sacrifice. Initially, things progressed well, but soon difficulties emerged. Some competitors spread false information about the business. Financial challenges arose unexpectedly, and several planned opportunities failed to materialize.
Many people advised him to quit and pursue something easier. However, he remained focused, continued improving his services, prayed consistently, and refused to be discouraged by opposition.
Months later, new opportunities opened, loyal customers increased, and strategic partnerships emerged. The same challenges that seemed determined to stop him became stepping stones to greater success.
His victory came not because opposition was absent, but because he refused to surrender to it.
TRUTH AND LIFE
Isaiah 54:17 assures believers that weapons may be formed, but they shall not prosper. The promise is not that opposition will never arise, but that it will never ultimately prevail against God's purpose.
Resistance often comes before advancement. Throughout Scripture, many individuals faced opposition before experiencing victory.
Joseph faced betrayal before promotion.
David faced persecution before kingship.
Nehemiah faced mockery before completing the wall.
Paul faced persecution before fulfilling his ministry.
To RISE ONWARD above resistance:
✓ Remain steadfast when challenges arise
✓ Trust God's promises more than circumstances
✓ Refuse discouragement and fear
✓ Continue moving forward despite opposition
Victory says:
“My advancement is greater than my opposition.”
Romans 8:37 reminds us that believers are more than conquerors through Christ. This means we do not merely survive challenges—we overcome them through God's strength and grace.
The believer's confidence is not in human ability but in divine backing. When God supports a vision, opposition cannot permanently stop it.
Every challenge becomes an opportunity for God to demonstrate His power and faithfulness.
FAITH DECLARATION
∆ I receive grace to rise above every form of resistance.
∆ No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
∆ I shall advance despite opposition and obstacles.
∆ Every challenge shall work together for my good.
∆ I am more than a conqueror through Christ, and I will rise onward in victory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
PRAYER POINTS
✓ Father, strengthen me to remain steadfast in difficult seasons.
✓ Lord, frustrate every weapon fashioned against my progress.
✓ Help me to trust Your promises above every challenge.
✓ Grant me courage to move forward despite opposition.
✓ Let every resistance become a stepping stone to greater victory.
CONCLUSION
Victory over opposition is the heritage of every child of God. Resistance may arise, but it cannot overcome those who place their trust in the Lord.
God uses challenges to strengthen character, deepen faith, and prepare His people for greater accomplishments. Therefore, do not be intimidated by obstacles or discouraged by temporary setbacks.
Remain steadfast, continue advancing, and trust in God's unfailing promises. The same God who brought others through opposition will also bring you into victory.
May every resistance before you become a testimony of God's power. May every obstacle become an avenue for divine promotion. And may you continually rise above opposition through the strength of the Lord.
Rise onward, for victory belongs to those who trust God despite resistance.
