PENTECOST DAY CHARGE
Sanctification unto Holiness
BIBLE TEXT: EXODUS 19:1-20, ACTS 2:1-21.
Some of the pertinent attributes we know about God is his attention to detail, his intentionality and his love for obedience.
Psalm 24:3-4 states that who shall ascend into the hills of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart.
Our God, the Father of all flesh and King of all spirit is holy and no filth can stand in his presence.
In Exodus 19:10-11, he told Moses to sanctify the people and tell them to wash their clothes and be ready to meet with him. Please be aware that this sanctification is more than bathing with water, soap and candles.
In today's world and by extension our church, we are already adorned with the cloth of holiness but how is your heart?
Hymn 772 vs 4 asks the state of our hearts.
Ikunsinu kan ha wa lokan re?, Ro daju Ijo Mimo, Bawo lo ti wa di Okan re si, Jowo,ro daju Ijo mimo.
While the frenzy is at its peak today of being the day of Pentecost, please search your hearts, sanctify it, release all the prisoners you have kept there and joyfully receive the promise of the spirit being poured out to us today as seen in Acts 2:1-21.
Remember, before we were formed, he knew us and ordained us as prophets to our Generation, don't be the stumbling block to the fulfillment of that prophecy upon your life
Conclusively, the spirit is readily available for all whose heart is prepared to receive him.
God is a spirit and those who worship him must do so in spirit and in truth!
Shalom!
