WAITING ON THE LORD 3

1 Cor 10:10 NIV: And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

While waiting and trusting God, don't grumble and stop accusing God.

To grumble is to doubt God's promises-God didn't you say you will do this, why am I not seeing it?

As seen in our text, grumbling and murmuring against God kills - it kills faith, joy and hope in Christ.

Vs 12 says : Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

This means that grumbling can make its victims fall. Fall into sin, temptation and the hands of the enemy.

To accuse God is to say "why do you always favour that person and ignore me"?. "Why do you love that person than me"?
Hab 2:3 says wait for God's promise because His words never fail.

Praying and Grumbling are both actions. The former brings your testimony while the latter kills your testimony. It is more profitable to stay with God in the place of prayer, worship and consecration than to grumble.

Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

My prayer for you is that your spirit man is strengthened to patiently wait on God till He performs that which He had said about you in Jesus mighty name.
