THE CHOICE IS ALWAYS YOURS

Deut 30:19
19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live
NIV

John 3:16
16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
NIV

The choice is always yours. Every decision you make is your choice. Whatever you decide, God is not to be blamed for the consequences of your action. If you decide for the right things, you get the blessings and life. You decide against God’s desire for your life, you get the curses and frustrations of life. He always make things plain and easy to understand, then, He will encourage you in what is the best choice for you; But you do the choosing and deciding. So, you can’t blame God for what follows your decision. You can’t blame any other person close or far away from you either. Everyone that speaks into your life offers their own opinion and suggestions, but you are the decision maker. You alone take responsibility for your decisions. Even when your mind is poisoned against another, you will be held responsible for choosing to believe that person. There is no excuse. That is why you must be careful who you listen to, what you listen to, and judge all things by the Spirit of God, so that you can reach the right conclusions leading to right decisions.

Adam tried to escape judgment by shifting the blame to Eve. Eve did the same by shifting it to the Serpent. God punished the Serpent, Eve and Adam. No one escaped. God told Adam that he was being punished because he chose to listen to his wife rather than take heed to the word of God to him. Take heed unto the word of God that you hear and read. Let the word guide you in all your decisions in Jesus name.

I pray you make right decisions from today based on the truth of God’s word in Jesus name. Never allow your emotions to decide for you. Be led by the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s word in Jesus name.

LOVE - TO LAY DOWN YOUR LIFE FOR OTHERS

1 John 3:16
16. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
NIV

To "lay down your life for another as proof of love" means to make the ultimate sacrifice, voluntarily giving up your own existence, resources, or desires for the well-being of someone you love. It demonstrates that your love for them is greater than any personal interest or convenience, a concept exemplified by Jesus' crucifixion for humanity. This phrase is often associated with extreme selfless love, such as a soldier dying to save comrades or a person sacrificing their life to rescue strangers. However, it can also describe a broader, daily commitment to prioritizing another's needs by giving up personal desires, comforts, time, or resources for their benefit.

Laying down your life for another signifies the highest form of self-sacrifice, where one's life itself is given for another's. It is a demonstration of love. It is a powerful action that proves the depth and reality of one's love, far beyond mere words or feelings.

Laying down your life for another is a voluntary act. True love is not forced or coerced but is a willing, selfless offering.

The most prominent example of true love (laying down one’s life for another) is in John 15:13, where it states, "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends". Jesus Christ is the greatest example of true love – he sacrificed His life for all mankind that anyone who believes, will not perish , but be saved and given eternal life.

Jesus Christ willingly giving His life on the cross for humanity, set the standard for sacrificial love. Believers should be willing to sacrificially love God and fellow men.

Beyond literal death, “laying down your life for another”, can also be applied metaphorically. It means being willing to give up your time, energy, desires and resources, even when it's inconvenient, to meet another's needs. The act of offering help, support, and compassion to someone in need, even a stranger, can be seen as laying down one's life in a broader sense.

Proclamations of love without corresponding actions are seen as meaningless. In essence, “laying down your life for another” is the most profound demonstration of care, putting the needs and well-being of another person above one's own life and comfort.

I pray that you will commit to loving God and man sacrificially in Jesus name. I pray the Father empower you to make sacrifices where and when necessary to the glory of His name in Jesus name. Receive grace to lay down your life for others in Jesus name.

BE STRONG AND OF A GOOD COURAGE

Joshua 1:6-9
6. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest….9. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
KJV

Ephesians 6:10
10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
KJV

God told Joshua in verses 6, 7 & 9 to be strong and courageous. He emphasized this point because it is so important. Apostle Paul also taught the Ephesian church to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. The above passages show that inner strength is very important for one to withstand challenges and win the battles of life and stay peaceful and safe. The believer must look at life the way God looks at it to succeed in it. We need inner strength to overcome. We must come to the level of faith where we are not moved by situations or circumstances, but only by the word of God.

Ps 125:1
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
NIV

Daniel the Prophet declared that those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.

Dan 11:32
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
KJV

This proves that the knowledge of God brings inner strength. We gain knowledge by listening to, reading, studying, researching and meditating on the written word of God. It takes diligence and commitment to gain knowledge. God commanded Joshua to give attention to the word of God so he can be strong and overcome the enemy and have good success and prosper in all that he does.

Josh 1:8
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
KJV

• Fill your mind and heart with the word of God and never allow what you see and experience to weaken your faith and create fear, worry and discouragement.
• Never allow fear to enter you or dominate your mind.
• Never allow discouragement. Be strong and full of courage. Always remember, He promised to be with us always till the very end of the age (Matthew 28:20). He promised never to leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6,8; Joshua 1:5). He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear or tolerate, and in every temptation, He will make a way of escape so we don’t fail (1 Cor 10:13). Always remember, He is loving towards all He has made and faithful to all His promises (Psalm 145:8,9,13-14).
• Have strong faith in the Lord.
Meditate so much on God’s word that faith will rise within you. Wrap your faith around every truth you discover in the word of God. Build your faith to the level that fear, worry and discouragement cannot settle in you. Build to the point nothing but the word of God moves you.

I pray that the Father will help you build strong faith to the point that nothing moves you in Jesus name. May you be indeed strong and full of courage in the Lord and in the power of His might in Jesus name.

SOW FAVOUR

Galatians 6:7-10
7. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
NIV

Sowing good seeds into people’s lives will open up many opportunities for you that you can ever imagine. Seed sowing is the way great harvests of miracles happen. Your seeds unlock favours and miracles in your life.

1. The seed you sow can create the future God has promised you.
2. What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.
3. God will always cause men to sow into you what you have sown into people’s lives, same measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.
4. If you sow a seed of diligence on your job, your harvest will be the favour of promotion. If you sow problems, you will reap trouble and a sack.
5. When you sow love into your family, you will reap love, peace, harmony, prosperity and rest of mind. When you sow finances into the work of God, you will reap God’s blessings and provision on your finances. When you gossip and run another down, another person will gossip and run you down, same measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. What comes back to you as a harvest is usually more than you sowed. Keep this in mind always.
6. Sow favour to reap favour.
7. A sweet and faithful relationship opens the door of favour both from God and man.
8. When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes his enemies to be at peace with him (Prov. 16:7).
9. You can set the stage for favour to come to you.
10. Men shall spend for him that knows how to spend for others.
11. Tithing and giving provoke open heavens. Open-heavens, is favour.
12. Tomorrows favour is a harvest of the good seeds sown today.
13. You will always reap what you have sown. Sow favour to reap favour.
• Recommend someone.
• Open a door for someone.
• Help someone get a job.
• Stop a lie from being spoken against someone.
• Give money to someone in need.
• Comfort and encourage someone.
• Pray for someone in need of help.
• Any other act of kindness that has no selfish interest behind it.
• Just be a blessing as much as you can.

I pray for you that you will make good seed sowing your lifestyle in Jesus name.

DEALING WITH EVIL THOUGHTS

2 Cor 10:5
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
NIV

Proverbs 4:23
23. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
NIV

When evil thoughts come to your mind or you are under pressure to think a certain evil or think negatively, the following steps will be helpful in confronting and overcoming the thoughts.
1. You need to understand that thoughts thrive and overcome man when man concentrates his mind on it. So, what you need to do is to break the concentration. Remove your mind from it quickly. A little shake of the head breaks the concentration. Refocusing your attention on another thing or subject breaks the concentration. Take your mind to a scripture that contradicts or disapproves such thoughts and suggestions of the devil that is invading your mind. Concentrate by deliberate action on the word of God and the evil (negative) thoughts will go away.
2. If it comes back again, do the same thing all over again. If the thoughts keep coming back, then you have to take authority over the evil spirit behind the thoughts. Bind the spirit and cast him away from your mind. Break his influence and power over your mind, and release your mind to think positively based on God’s Word and Will.
3. Positive confessions or words help battle negative and evil thoughts. Speak contrary to the negative and evil thoughts your mind is battling with. As you speak, your ears hear you. And as you hear what you have said, your mind processes it, and is purified by it, and your mouth speaks it out again. By this method, you are battling the negative thoughts with positive words especially from the scriptures.
4. If the thoughts persist after applying the three steps above, then you turn to the Holy Spirit in passionate plea to help you take your mind away from your worries and the evil thoughts bombarding your mind. Relax your mind and let Him take over. It will definitely go away. I have overcome worries through this method when all other efforts fail to produce result.
5. You overcome negative and evil thoughts by thinking positively. Work on thinking positively all the time. Program yourself to think clean, pure and word-based thoughts always. If you are busy thinking positively, you will not think negatively.
6. Always remember you are the owner of the mind and your mind doesn’t own you. You are the one that thinks the thoughts and the thoughts don’t think itself. So, take charge and think the right thoughts.

I pray that you will take a stand and refuse to think wrong thoughts from today and begin thinking positively in Jesus name.

MISTAKES 9

TAKE A STAND
1 Corinthians 10:6-12
6. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 11. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
KJV

Be careful how you live your life from now on. Always remember that you will always reap what you sow whether it is good or bad. All actions and words will always bring back a response. Watch your words. Watch your steps. Look before you leap. Be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to react. Mistakes cannot be reversed. Once a deed is done, it is done; you only wait for the consequences.

Live by the word of God. Make Jesus Christ your Saviour and friend. Depend on the Holy Spirit and fellowship with him. Pray regularly and give your eyes and ears to the word of God.

Be wise. Walk prudently always. Show discretion in all your ways, and you will have no regrets. God bless you.

Bear in mind that the Lord is on your side and He will never let you down or abandon you. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. He knows your strength and your breaking point. He will always be with you as He promised to help you as long as you are determined to stay free from sin and not to yield to that temptation. Take a stand and refuse to bow to the enemy.

1 Corinthians 10:13
13. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
KJV

I pray that you will surrender to the Holy Spirit always and allow Him to lead and inspire your words, actions and reactions, so your life bring God glory always in Jesus name. May you never make a mistake that will cause you great harm in Jesus name.

HOW TO TURN YOUR MISTAKE INTO TESTIMONIES OF TRIUMPH
Proverbs 28:13
13. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
KJV

James 4:8
8. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
NIV

Admit and commit to dealing with the mistake made and see to it that it does not happen again. The following will help:
1. Analyze the mistake you have made and the consequences suffered or still suffering.
2. Identify why you made the mistake you have made and how.
3. Find out how you can avoid such mistake in future.
4. Learn the lessons inherent in the mistakes and consequences.
5. Determine in your heart to apply the lesson learnt, and never to fall into the same mistake again.
6. Free yourself from guilt, and settle down to live with the consequences you cannot change.
7. Change what you can change. And what you cannot change, learn to live with it. Be at peace. Remember, when wounds heal, the scars remain. You will have to live with the scars (consequences of your words and actions after God has forgiven you).
8. Pray for forgiveness and that the Lord will change your situation in mercy. And with all your heart, vow not to repeat same mistake again. And the Lord will give you a testimony.

I pray that God will in mercy help you turn your mistakes into testimonies of triumph in Jesus name.

MISTAKES 7

OUR MISTAKES BECOMES GOD’S TOOLS IN SHAPING US
Rom 8:28
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
NIV

Our Father is always at work in our lives. The mistakes and errors of our lives will cause God to go to work in order to change and transform us to a better person. God uses our mistakes to work out his good and perfect will in our lives. He will not leave you the way you are. He will do all in His power to bring you to realize your error, repent and change.

You have to trust God that He will turn your mistakes around and help you clean up your mess and advance your life. Whatever discipline God gives you, should be seen as an instrument in turning your life around. For a father disciplines the one he loves in order to make him or her better.

Hebrews 12:5-11
5. And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6. because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." 7. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8. If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10. Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
NIV

The mistake of Joseph’s brothers in selling him to slavery was what God used to bring Joseph to the throne of Prime Minister in Egypt in order to save Israel and Egypt from the famine that was to hit the world at that time (Genesis 39, 40 – 49).

Moses killed an Egyptian thinking he could help his people and stop the oppression. He ended up being a wanted man. He ran for his life to the land of Median. God used his mistake to take him to the wilderness to train him on how to take care of sheep which is a type of the people of Israel. When his training was complete, he was commissioned to deliver Israel from bo***ge in Egypt (Exodus 2 & 3).

I pray that God will in mercy help you turn your mistakes into testimonies of triumph in Jesus name.

MISTAKES 6

FOUR SERIOUS MISTAKES TO AVOID
4. IMMORALITY
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9. Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10. nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
NIV

S*x outside of marriage is evil and a sin before God. Every child of God is expected and commanded to live a life free from immorality. S*x outside of marriage defiles the body which is God’s temple. Immorality is chasing away the Holy Spirit of God from one’s body. The believer’s body is the house (temple) of God’s Spirit and must be kept holy.

1 Corinthians 6:17-20
17. But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 18. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20. you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
NIV

You have enough grace in you to live free from sexual sins. As long as you want to be free from sexual sins, you will be for the Lord Jesus already set you as a believer free and given you His very life, nature and Spirit. So, do not make the mistake of being immoral. The consequences will definitely not be what you bargained for.

Reuben slept with his father’s wife, and lost his birthright as firstborn to the sons of Joseph (Genesis 35:22; Gen. 49:1-4; 1 Chron. 5:1-3).

David committed adultery with Bathsheba. To cover it up, he had the husband killed in war, and married the woman. His punishment lasted thirteen years and his name is still stained with it till date because the story is engraved in the scriptures – King David’s son Amon r***d one of his daughters Tamar. Absalom, Tamar’s brother had Amon killed for what he did to his sister. Because of what king David did, violence, division, murder came into the family. Absalom, his son overthrew him as king and David ran away for his life. Absalom defiled ten of David’s concubines by lying with them on the roof top before all Israel. After Absalom was killed however, David returned to his throne (2 Sam. 11-19).

The above stories and others in the Bible go to show that immoral behavior is a costly mistake for anyone to make in life. Stay away and keep your relationship with the Lord intact and flourishing. Make the Holy Spirit enjoy His temple which is your body. Make Him feel welcome always.

I pray that the Father will continually strengthen you to resist immoral behaviour no matter the urge, pressure or temptation that will come your way in Jesus name. Stay strong and victorious in Jesus name.
