KNOW GOD FOR YOURSELF 4

COME TO GOD WITH AN OPEN MIND
Romans 12:2
2. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
NIV

After accepting Jesus as your personal Saviour and Lord, the rest of the Christian life is relearning life and living God’s life for His glory and not yours.

2 Corinthians 5:15
15. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
NIV

Every person that is born start learning about life and forming opinions and beliefs from childhood. So, everyone has personal beliefs and opinions about God, man, life and many other things. It is a man’s ideology that make him talk and behave the way he does – the things he values and hold dear, his ambitions, desires, tastes, attitudes, behaviours and general life style are all based on opinions and beliefs picked up from parents, family members, associates and friends, schools, books, experiences of life and personal deep thoughts. Most of these beliefs and opinions are wrong in comparison to the teachings and laws of God. That is why the life lived before being saved is declared sinful and a departure from the way of God.

Isaiah 53:6
6. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
NIV

Proverbs 14:12
12. There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
NIV

Having come to Christ, we are called upon to open up our hearts to God and allow His word to teach and renew our minds so we can be transformed (changed) to manifest the life of Jesus now in our spirits. You can’t be holding unto the wrong knowledge and beliefs and expect your life to be lived differently. Your perception and reasoning has to change for your attitudes, words and actions to change. Until you start seeing the world and life through the eyes of God, you cannot relate with the world and life as God’s son. Your beliefs rule you.

Commit to renewing your mind with the word of God and your life will reflect Jesus completely. Open up to God. Open up to our great teacher the Holy Spirit and you will be well enlightened and changed.

I pray the Father by the holy Spirit will cause you to love the word of God so much that you devour it with great zeal in Jesus name. May revelation be poured into your mind and spirit daily as you look into the perfect law of liberty in Jesus name. May the word of God renew your mind and transform your life to the glory of God in Jesus name.

KNOW GOD FOR YOURSELF 2

KNOWING GOD MAKES YOU STRONG
Daniel 11:32
32. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
KJV

To be strong is to be able to withstand force, pressure, or wear.
Someone who is strong is confident and determined, and is not easily influenced or worried by happenings in and around him and other people.

Psalms 125:1
1. They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
KJV

To be strong is to know your worth. The strong have a strong sense of self-worth, meaning they don't seek external validation or comparison. They know who they are, they accept it, and they love it; they walk tall not because they are better but because they have real confidence inside.

Being strong does not mean avoiding the truth – it means accepting it, learning about it, and dealing with it head on.

Being strong means recognizing the things you can’t change, realizing the things you can do, and having the perceptivity, fortitude and wisdom to tell the difference between the two.

Being strong does not mean getting stuck in the moment, but being able to get on with one’s life despite the constraints and encumbrances.

Being strong means making sacrifices whilst pushing for progress. Being strong means having the capability and fortitude to stand steadfastly for what you believe and pursuits despite the blows of change. Being strong means being the pillar of support for you and what you care about, when things begin to break down.

The strong does not give up, shrink back from following. They remain resilient, committed, dedicated and continue to wax stronger and stronger daily in faith and confidence in God and in who they are in Christ.

Hebrews 10:38-39
38. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." 39. But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.
NIV

Jeremiah 17:7-8
7. "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 8. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
NIV

We do exploits through strong faith. So, commit to growing strong daily in Christ. Know God for yourself to be very strong.

Mark 11:23
23. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
NIV

Mark 9:23
23. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
KJV

1 John 5:4
4. for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
NIV

Commit to knowing God from today and you will indeed be strong and do exploits.

Receive grace to know God more daily and become stronger and stronger and enjoy victory always in Jesus name.

GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS

Acts 10:34-35
34. Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35. But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
KJV

God is not a man, nor a son of man. He is God. As God, He is the greatest, most powerful, all knowing and present everywhere at the same time. He is the source of knowledge and wisdom. He is love and the source of love. He is strict and firm in His principles. God is meticulous in His ways. He Himself is strict to the point that He will never go against His word no matter who is involved.

Numbers 23:19
19. God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
NIV

Because there is no man greater than Him, He is firm on His laws and instructions. He is not a respecter of persons.

NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS means:
1. God is not partial.
2. God does not do favouritism.
3. God’s word (laws, commands and promises) is the same for all.
4. Your tribe, race, level of education and exposure doesn’t matter.
5. But in every nation, he that fears God, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
6. God’s word and standard is the same for everyone irrespective of where you come from, your background and social status.

God judges everyone equally, regardless of their background.

• The ways of God are the same for all.
• The promises of God are the same for all.
• The laws of God are the same for everyone.
• The principles of God are the same for everyone.
• Study to know God’s word and apply it in your life, and God will honour and prove them in your life.

God will not set aside His word for you. God will not judge you with a different set of rules. Commit to walking in the word of God and it will always be well with you.

I pray that the Father will open your eyes to understand this truth and cause you to surrender to the teachings of the word of God in Jesus name.

GOD TEACHES WHAT IS BEST FOR US

Psalms 32:8-9
8. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. 9. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.
NIV

It is God’s desire to be part of our daily lives. He wants to guide us in decision making and how we relate with the world around us. He has a plan for each an everyone. His plan and purposes is for our own good and not for evil. It is to bring us an expected end (destiny). God sticks to His plan and will make sure it comes to pass.

Jeremiah 29:11
11. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
NIV

Isaiah 14:24
24. The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.
NIV

God’s instructions and teachings is to show us the way we should go. It is for our best interest. He has our destination in life (according to His purpose for our lives) in mind. He wants us happy in life. He wants us rejoicing always and not sad and depressed. He wants us to enjoy peace round about. He wants us successful and continuously progressing in all of life’s endeavours. His instructions and teachings is the way we should go. If you and I take His teachings and instructions serious and put them to use, then, our lives will be well lived and fully satisfying.

Isaiah 48:17-20
17. This is what the LORD says-- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. 18. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. 19. Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be cut off nor destroyed from before me." 20. Leave Babylon, flee from the Babylonians! Announce this with shouts of joy and proclaim it. Send it out to the ends of the earth; say, "The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob."
NIV

God declares that He teaches us what is best for us and that He directs us in the way we should go. Stop going your own way. Stop allowing people to lead you contrary to the word and plan of God for your life. Stop allowing your emotions and experiences to determine how and what you say and do. Let the teachings and instructions of the Lord contained in the Holy Bible determine your words, actions and reactions. The way of God is the best thing for you. The teachings of Christ is the best thing for you. The counsel of the Lord is the best thing for you. Follow God and His word in all things and at all times.

What God teaches is what is best for you. What God teaches is the way you should go. Do not follow any other path. “Leave Babylon, flee from the Babylonians!” Do not follow the world. Do not imitate the world. Follow the word of God. Practice the teachings of Christ. Live by the scriptures. Use the word of God. Live by the word of God. Judge with the word of God. Speak the word of God over your life situations. Practice the principles contained in the word of God. Believe and pray the word of God. Expect the word of God to come to pass in every area of your life.

I pray that you will become a WORD addict in Jesus name. Receive grace to study, meditate, believe and go in the way the word of God instructs and counsels you in all things and at all times in Jesus name.
