AD2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ IS OUR YEAR OF DIVINE HONOUR AND DIGNITY (Esther 8:15-16, Esther 10:3, John 12:26) Jesus Christ’s command is to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19). Therefore, we are “Dedicated unto the cause of Inter-denominational and Worldwide Evangelism.”* These words express

our spirit and our focus. Our call is to preach Jesus Christ, God’s Son, as The Savior, The Baptizer, The Healer and The Coming King. Our assignment is to develop healthy, growing churches. Our commitment is to plant national churches around the world led by loving servants of Jesus Christ. Churches developed in this manner will reproduce again and again. This makes possible the spread of the gospel to those who have not heard or accepted the message of God’s Son. Our Name – The Foursquare Gospel Church: “Foursquare” is a Biblical term used of the tabernacle in the Book of Exodus, of the Temple of the Lord in Ezekiel 40:47, and of Heaven, as described in the book of the Revelation. The term “Foursquare Gospel” was given in the inspiration of revival to the denomination’s founder, Aimee Semple McPherson, during an evangelistic campaign in Oakland, Calif., in 1922. It represents that which is equally balanced on all sides, established and enduring. Such confidence in the power of the Gospel is also expressed by the verse, Hebrews 13:8, displayed in Foursquare churches proclaiming, “Jesus Christ the Same, Yesterday and Today and Forever.”

The name represents the four-fold ministries of Jesus as:

🎯TOPIC:
GIVING TO OTHERS IN SPITE OF FAMINE

📖BIBLE READING:
2 CORINTHIANS 8:1-7

1. Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

2. How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

3. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

4. Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

5. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

6. Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

7. Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“How that in a great trial of affliction and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. Praying for us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift.”(2 Corinthians 8:2, 4)

✝️MEDITATION:
A preacher once described “poverty mentality” as the fear of not having enough. Sadly, many—even believers in Jesus Christ—are held captive by this fear. Despite abundance, some still struggle to give, especially during difficult seasons, citing financial pressure and economic hardship.
Yet, giving is an issue of the heart, not just of abundance. Some well-off people are bound by the selfish mindset of “Why must I give”—a mindset that reflects spiritual immaturity and a lack of trust in God’s provision.

In our Bible reading, Paul commends the Macedonian believers who, despite affliction and deep poverty, gave generously. Similarly, in Genesis 43:11-12, Jacob, in a time of famine, sent gifts and double money with his sons. Unknown to him, these gifts would reach his long-lost son, Joseph. The famine in the land could not stop Jacob! He said, “Take of the best fruits in the land... a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds... and take double money in your hand” (Genesis 43:11-12).

The wisest man who ever lived, Solomon, echoes this truth: “One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:24-25)

Have you ever experienced God’s miraculous provision in times you gave your last?

🙏PRAYER:
Jehovah Jireh, the Great Provider, teach me to give generously even when it is severe famine season!

RESTORATION TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

📖BIBLE READING:
JOHN 10:9-10; 14:1-6

John 10:9-10

9. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 14:1-6

1. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way

6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”(John 14:6)

✝️MEDITATION:
Restoration is the act of returning something to its original state. Spiritually, restoration means mending our broken relationship with God—and this is only possible through Jesus Christ.

Jesus’ death on the cross was God’s plan to restore humanity. Because He loves us deeply, God sent His Son to atone for our sins and reveal His love. Through Jesus, not only are our sins forgiven, but our hearts are also healed, and our spirits renewed.

In today’s Bible reading, Jesus clearly reveals His identity, mission, and the way to the Father. He is the gate to eternal life (John 10:9), and the only way to God (John 14:6). This truth applies to everyone who has accepted Him as Saviour and Lord, and who walks with the Holy Spirit.

When we live in fellowship with God, the Holy Spirit brings restoration in every area of our lives, just as Psalm 1:1-3 describes: “Blessed is the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord. He is like a tree planted by streams of water in all that he does, he prospers.”

Have you accepted God’s offer of restoration through Christ? Can you share your salvation testimony today?

🙏PRAYER:
Spirit of the living God, awaken those who read this devotional, but lack a true salvation experience and bring them to a genuine personal relationship with you through Jesus Christ, your Son.

🎯TOPIC:
WHO IS YOUR SOURCE OF PROVISION?

📖BIBLE READING:
GENESIS 21:14-21

14. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

15. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

16. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

17. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

18. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

19. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

20. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

21. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.”(Genesis 21:19)

✝️MEDITATION:
Many pastors complain about their assignments due to the poor welfare provided for them and their families.
This is like Father Abraham sending Hagar and Ishmael to a “new location” with just a bottle of water and some bread. Sadly, these provisions ran out quickly.

Desperate, Hagar acted as recorded in today’s Bible reading: “and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat and lifted up her voice, and wept”. Are many pastors and missionaries not weeping like Hagar today because their “water and bread” have run out? It's both instructive and comforting to know that the God who hears the cries of His people heard both Hagar and the lad.

The key lessons from this narrative include: Human assistance runs out on life’s journey, sometimes faster than we expect; we must pray earnestly to the Great Provider, who is the sure source of all provision; parents and children should seek God together. It is recorded that God heard the voice of the lad; let us not distance ourselves from our children, nor they from us, when provision is lacking. Cry out to God—He can open your eyes to the “well of water” right where you are.

Who is the source of your provision, men or God?

🙏PRAYER:
O Lord, send help today to our stranded missionaries and Christian workers in the field.

BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE ONLY?

📖BIBLE READING:
MATTHEW 23:23-33

23. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cu**in, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

24. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

25. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

26. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

28. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

29. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

30. And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

31. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell

🗝️KEY VERSE:
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.(Matthew 23:25)

✝️MEDITATION:
On a radio program about conflict resolution, a gold dealer bought a “gold” wristwatch for $40,000. Its appearance and markings were convincing. However, when he tried to resell it, the prospective buyer ran a simple test and exposed it as fake. His failure to verify its authenticity cost him dearly. The deceptive external appearance misled him.
The greatest opposition Jesus faced came from the Pharisees. He rebuked their selfish interpretations of the law—on tithing, marriage, divorce, and the Sabbath.

In turn, they hated Him, seeing Him as a threat, despite the evidence of His Messiahship. They knew acknowledging Jesus would expose their hypocrisy. Their actions opposed God’s ultimate purpose: the salvation of mankind. Their pretense drew “woes” from Jesus, who detested their hypocrisy. Outwardly, they practiced religion, but inwardly, they were corrupt, forgetting that clean hands and a pure heart are essential to enter God's presence.

Today, many in the Church mirror the Pharisees. They are religious but full of deceit. They shout the loudest prayers but lack genuine communion with God. They flaunt donations for recognition but neglect the poor, orphans, and widows. They are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful outside, but full of decay within.

Are you real or a pretender in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ?

🙏PRAYER:
Father Lord, help me to exude Your beauty inside and outside, despite the daily temptations I face.

PROFITABILITY OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

📖BIBLE READING:
PSALMS 133:1-3

1. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2. It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3. As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."(Hebrews 10:25)

✝️MEDITATION:
Reflecting on my journey with Jesus over the past two decades, I often wonder where I would have been without the believers who revealed glimpses of Him to me. I had a classmate who became a dear friend and helped deepen my understanding of Christ. He prayed with me, encouraged me, and read Scripture with me—showing me God’s love in action. One verse that forever marked me is Romans 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Today’s Bible reading highlights the blessings of Christian fellowship: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” Therefore, to thrive as a believer, staying connected with fellow Christians is essential.Jesus Himself prayed that His followers would experience the same unity He shares with the Father (John 17:21). This unity strengthens our walk with Him.

If you don’t have someone to walk closely with in faith, seek out such relationships. Ask God to lead you to a spiritual mentor, join a discipleship group, or attend a Bible-believing church’s study group. As Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."

Do you spend time with those who spur you on toward godliness or with those indifferent to eternal things?

🙏PRAYER:
Jesus, help me to desire the company of those with eternity in view.

THE REUNION WITH LOVED ONES IN CHRIST

📖BIBLE READING:
1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-15

13. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.1 Thessalonians 4:14

✝️MEDITATION:
I lost a dear Christian sister and friend about ten years ago. The grief felt overwhelming. But I clung to the promise of reunion with Christ, which brought me hope. It reminded me that death isn't the end. I began living with an eternal perspective, finding comfort in knowing that one day, all believers will be reunited with our loved ones in Christ, forever with the Lord.

The Apostle Paul provides comfort to believers concerning those who have died in Christ: He emphasizes that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ should give us confidence. At the coming of Jesus, He will bring those who have "fallen asleep" in Him. The term "fallen asleep" is a euphemism for death, indicating a temporary state before resurrection. This assurance is rooted in the foundational Christian belief in Christ's resurrection. Since Jesus conquered death, believers united with Him share in this victory. Therefore, at Christ's return, God will reunite deceased believers with the living, affirming the hope of eternal life and reunion with loved ones in Christ. This passage offers profound comfort, highlighting that death is not the end for those in Christ.

In fact, apostle Paul went on to say that our hope is not just in this world, and dying cannot be the end of any believer in Jesus Christ. If it were so, we would be the most miserable of all men! (1 Corinthians 15:19).

Do you sometimes worry that you will never see your fellow believers again once they are dead?

🙏PRAYER:
Thank you Lord for the resurrection power!

FAITH BUILT ON GOD'S PROMISES

📖BIBLE READING:
RUTH 1:6-18

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.”(Ruth 1:16)

✝️MEDITATION:
Mothers often serve as pillars of faith, shaping the spiritual journey of their children. Their trust in God’s promises reflects the loyalty we are called to show toward His Word. Ruth, a Moabite woman, showed this when she chose to follow Naomi and embrace the God of Israel—not because of favourable circumstances, but because of faith.

Her commitment was rooted in what she had heard about the God of Israel. Despite Naomi's bleak situation, Ruth clung to her and set out for Bethlehem, trusting in a God she had not yet known personally. Similarly, Mary, the mother of Jesus, showed unwavering trust when she responded to the angel in Luke 1:38, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.”

Hebrews 11:13 commends the heroes of faith: “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off… and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.” Faith built on God’s promises sustained them—and can sustain us today. Like Ruth and Mary, Christian mothers can model steadfast faith, teaching their children to trust God through life’s uncertainties.

What has been your experience when you chose to build your faith on God’s promises?

🙏PRAYER:
Lord, help me to trust and remain steadfast in Your Word, building my faith on Your promises. Amen.
