BREAKTHROUGH DEVOTION January 16th. 2024

TOPIC:UNVEILING THE COVENANT KEYS TO A WORLD OF ANSWERED PRAYERS FOR OUR NEXT LEVEL. PART 2.
BIBLE TEXT: Mark 10:46-47, 51.
“ And they came to Jericho: and He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me... And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight”

The reason for the failure of unanswered prayers in your life is because you have failed yo engage the COVENANT KEY OF SPECIFIC. It is important to understand that, we serve a God of specifics.

From the bible text, Jesus sought to teach us the covenant key of specifics. Blind Bartimaeus cried fervently, "Have mercy on me". He was convinced Jesus could heal him of his blindness. His appeal was to the compassion of the Lord.

However, Jesus Christ asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?" All except a blind man would fail to see that Bartimaeus was blind. What else then, would a blind man want but a restoration of sight? It seemed so obvious, that the Lord Himself, who knows the secret of the hearts of men, ought not to have asked. Or, so one would think. Yet, the Lord asked him, "What do you want Me to do for you?".

Many people engage in generalities and call that prayer. Prayer has to be specific. You have to identify your need. Many think that because God knows everything, there is no need to present their case with precision. "He knows, anyway," is often the statement used by some to cover their ignorance of some of these things.

Vagueness in prayer suggests an unsettled mind. Such a mind is a wavering mind. A wavering mind will not receive anything from God (James 1:6-7). In this new year, you must cancel vagueness in your prayer life, if you desire speedy answers in your prayer life.

One important reason why God wants us to be specific is, so that we will have no difficulty assigning the glory to Him when the answer comes. If you are vague or not specific, it proves that you do not expect the Lord to answer you. You are limiting God's abilities, because you are operating in the realm of doubt and unbelief.

You must determine what you want, and be precise. Avoid ambiguities. A prayer like "God bless everyone " is entirely vague. No one will be blessed because there is no one to receive the blessings from God. Lets pray

Father I receive grace to be specific in my prayer life in Jesus name.

TOPIC:UNDERSTANDING THE WONDERS OF FASTING FOR OUR NEXT LEVEL. PART 2.
BIBLE TEXT: Isaiah 58:5.
“ Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? .”

Praise the lord, you are welcome to another beautiful day that the lord has made for you.

Another wonder of fasting is REVELATIONS. Nothing of great value can be given to you except you pay the price likewise if you desire revelations on any aspect of your life then you must plug in to the force of fasting.

Isaiah 58:8 says“Then shall thy light break forth as the morning”. Mysteries in God’s Word are revealed to you as you engage the combined forces of prayer and fasting.

Jeremiah 33:3 also says: Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. So therefore, if you pray, study the word of God and fast, you will never lack revelations.

The knowledge of what is available is information; but when you know what to do with what is available, that is revelation.

Revelation of the truth connotes insight. When you see what the Word of God is saying, you automatically know what to do.
We dominate by revelation and not by assumption.

You cannot give what you don’t know.It is the revelation of the word that you encounter that will make you manifest your glorious destiny sweatlessly.

Revelation guarantees your dominion on earth. The Word says: And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:5).

No matter how dark it may be, when light comes darkness can’t stop light from shining! And Psalm 119:130 says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light.” That means when the truth is unfolded, light is infused, and when light is infused, your dominion over darkness is established.

2 Peter 1:4 Says that “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

When the great and precious promises of scriptures enter into a man (by supernatural understanding), they impart on the person the nature of God.

Divine nature can only be infused into a man when he grasps the mysteries of the Word (Jn. 10:35). The Bible tells us that God is a Spirit (Jn. 4:24) and the Word of God is also Spirit (Jn. 6:63).

Therefore, when God’s Word enters you, the Spirit of the Lord enters you, imparting you with His nature.

Father, I desire a fresh order of revelation for the next level in Jesus name.

TOPIC:UNDERSTANDING THE WONDERS OF FASTING FOR OUR NEXT LEVEL. PART 1.

A great number of God’s children find it difficult to fast. Just as Esau lost his birthright to a morsel of bread, many Christians have failed to move to the next level of grace and glory because of their inability, unwillingness and lack of understanding of the place of fasting in their lives.

Fasting is God’s prescription for every genuine disciple of the kingdom to move to the next level of His grace and glory. God does not want us to be stagnant.

It is the devil's agenda to see believers stagnant, frustrated, sorrowful and incapacitated. By the name of Jesus Christ, no more break down in your life.

Let’s unveil some of the wonders that are inherent in fasting for our next level. It is very important that we know this truth, so that we can engage this mystery of fasting effortlessly.

It is important to note that fasting should be done with a great understanding and not just with a shallow understanding.

Let’s look at supernatural empowerment as one of the wonders of fasting for our next level.

The book of Luke 4:14 states that “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.”.

After Jesus Christ fasted for forty days in the wilderness, we see that Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee .

Our lord Jesus Christ entered another next phase of supernatural empowerment because he fasted. He was supernaturally empowered for His messianic ministry of saving the world from their sins, and His fame spread round about the region.

The Psalmist could also only be empowered after fasting and prayer(Ps. 63:1-2).A man of fasting cannot lack supernatural empowerment. You need to be supernaturally empowered for you to go to the next level.

Next level is not meant for spiritual weaklings. This is because spiritual weaklings cannot get their desired victory over the devil for their next level .

To be supernaturally empowered means to be a man of power. It takes a man of power to be in charge and control of life issues.

Prayer point:

Father empowers me supernaturally for the next level of your glory and grace on my life in Jesus name.

BIBLE TEXT: Ephesians 6:10-12.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Let’s thank Him for the diverse encounters we have received, He's worthy. He is mighty. He is better than the best.

To develop spiritual capacity, WE MUST STUDY THE LIVES OF THOSE THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE US IN OUR AREA OF CALLINGS.

My beloved, it is very important that we study the lives of those that have gone before us because there is nothing new under heaven, what has been is what shall be and what was done before shall be done, there is nothing new under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

To develop spiritual capacity, you must study the lives of mentors that have gone ahead of us in the area of our callings.

It is the seed from the old that gives birth to the new. Nothing new exists on its own without drawing from the old, nothing!

One generation shall serve you to another, it’s a relay, you draw from one to move to the next and they draw from the next to move to the next. (Hebrews 13:7). Study them to find out what and what they did to command the kind of results they have obtained and you are interested, you plug in. You plug in!

When you are too big to learn from fathers, then you will be too small to grow in spiritual capacity.

In this year 2024, you need to consciously build your spiritual capacity, so that you can escape the agenda of the enemy concerning your life and your ministry.

Spiritual dwarfness can make you a prey to the devil. By the name of Jesus Christ, you will not become a prey to the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ.

Without a mentor, you don’t have a ladder to climb, without a father, you don’t have feathers. Mentors show the way to go, fathers proclaim blessings that cause men to prevail where others travail.

This is the time for us to dive into this truth now and begin to draw inspiration and learn from the people that have gone ahead of us so that we will not be useless. Building spiritual capacity should be your priority.

Prayer point:

Father by your mercy, help me to build a formidable spiritual capacity in Jesus name.

BIBLE TEXT: Ephesians 6:10-12.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

If you can pray in the spirit, pray in the spirit for the next five minutes. However, if you can’t pray in the spirit, begin to plead the blood of Jesus Christ.

Now let’s examine the covenant steps to build spiritual capacity. We have seen the benefits that are inherent in building your spiritual capacity.

To build spiritual capacity, you must ENGAGE THE WORD ADDICTEDLY. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up. (Acts 20:32).

So we build up principally in the Word. You need to consciously build your addiction on the word. The more we are addicted to the word, the more we build spiritual capacity.

Our dedication to the Word is the mystery behind our spiritual capacity. Spiritual capacity is enhanced by in-depth revelation of the word.

When I say the word, I mean the Bible and every resource material that enhances our insight to the Word, our insight to the Word.

The quality and quantity of the Word of God you have is what determines the level of your spiritual capacity. I believe you know that spiritual capacity is in levels. The more of the word you imbibe, the more you build spiritual capacity.

It is high time, you are conscious and disciplined about the word you receive. To have a balanced diet for your physical body, you must consciously pay attention to what you eat. Likewise, you must consciously pay attention to the word you receive.

Your word level must be systematic. You can draw a timetable for the word you desire to receive or a word in-take plan that you desire for your spiritual capacity for the year. For example, you can pay attention to faith for the whole of January, while for another month, you look at vision and you can do that for other months. That is what I mean by systematic growth.

However, your word timetable should be based on the area of your life you desire spiritual enhancement or enlightenment.

You desire to build your faith, pay attention to words of faith that will build your faith exponentially. If you desire to revive your prayer life, pay attention to the word that will revive your prayer life. Let’s pray.

Father I receive grace to be addicted to your word for my spiritual capacity in Jesus name.

In this year 2024, you must be conscious of your spiritual life. When your spiritual life is correct, then your physical life will be correct.

Your spiritual capacity is what determines what you can receive from God. God is against wastage, therefore God will never bless you beyond your spiritual capacity. This is why you must build your spiritual capacity.

Today, another benefit of building your spiritual capacity is SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT. The more you build your spiritual capacity, the more you are spiritually empowered to achieve your God-given vision for your life.

It is unfortunate that many believers are often buffeted because of lack of empowerment. By the name that is above every other name, you shall be empowered to the optimum level in Jesus name.

Your Phone will be useless without being charged. To charge your phone is to give power to your phone. Without Power on your phone, you can’t use your phone effectively, likewise with other aspects of your life.

The greatest Empowerment for any individual is the SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT. This is because the spiritual realm is what controls the physical realm.

Let me put it like this, what you see today is like a replay of what has been settled in the spiritual realm. A man of the spirit is never bothered by what is happening in the physical realm because he already knows the final outcome or result in the spirit.

In this year, pay serious attention to building your spiritual capacity. God’s utmost desire for you and I in these last days is to see us have a robustful spiritual life.

Spiritual capacity provokes Spiritual empowerment and Spiritual empowerment is about being confident in your ability to reflect and tap into your mind, body and spirit. It’s being able to explore the energy inside you that makes you discover your dreams and passions, and to uncover and connect with your true self. It’s about connecting with the divine within you.

Father, I desire fresh spiritual empowerment package in Jesus name.

We shall examine another benefit of building your spiritual capacity. Today, we shall examine DOMINION as one of the benefits of spiritual capacity.

The devil will always hinder you from building your spiritual capacity and this is because the devil knows that the more you build your spiritual capacity, the more you have SPIRITUAL DOMINION.

When you have spiritual dominion, it will automatically translate to your physical life. It is the spiritual realm that controls the physical realm, so when you have spiritual dominion, then you also have physical dominion.

By the name of Jesus Christ, your dominion over the devil is permanent.
When God created man, it was God’s desire for mankind to excel, rule, and have dominion over everything on Earth and not just in the garden of Eden.

When God declared the words in Genesis 1:26 KJV, “LET THEM HAVE DOMINION…”, God gave man authority over the entire Earth but the garden of Eden was the starting point. Man lost his dominion because he failed to continue to build his spiritual capacity.

The devil is roaming around seeking for whom he will devour. I decree and I declare, your spiritual life shall not be devoured in the name of Jesus Christ.

To take this subject of spiritual capacity for granted is to be grounded spiritually. You shall not be grounded spiritually in Jesus name. God never designed you to be a victim in life.

God never designed you to be a victim of satanic assaults, sicknesses, diseases, poverty, depression, accidents, etc. It is the devil that has infused evil designs into the lives of men and women, so that he can subdue their destiny.

By the name of Jesus Christ, you are free from satanic domination in Jesus name.
Life is all about taking dominion. It is either you dominate or you are subdued. You have to decide where you belong.

I have chosen to be among the brave and tough ones in Christ to harass devils. You are seated with Christ in the heavenly places, far above principality and power, and might and dominion. Walk in this dominion consciousness and subdue your world.

I received my spiritual dominion package in Jesus name.

By Divine mercy, you shall not lose your spiritual dignity in the name of Jesus Christ. No building will ever rise any higher than the bearing capacity of its foundation. No!

You cannot be apportioned anything from God above your capacity. (Matthew 25:15). Change of levels is changing from one level of glory to another but glory is defined in terms of weights in the Kingdom. (2 Corinthians 4:17).

It is capacity that determines how much weight can be entrusted on your life and my life. We need to be awake to the responsibility of spiritual capacity development.

Let’s examine some benefits of spiritual capacity. REVELATION is one of the benefits of spiritual capacity. The more you build your spiritual capacity, the more you grow in revelation.

The knowledge of what is available is information; but when you know what to do with what is available, that is revelation.

Revelation of the truth connotes insight. When you see what the Word of God is saying, you automatically know what to do and it takes a conscious building of your spiritual capacity to see what God is saying per time in your life. Revelation is the deep things of the word.

The Revelation you receive for your finances cannot be use for your marriage, therefore you must keep building your spiritual capacity to get more revelation for every aspect of your life.

We dominate by revelation and not by assumption. You cannot give what you don’t know. It is the revelation of the word that you encounter that will make you manifest your glorious destiny sweatlessly. Revelation is not cheap talk.

By the name that is above every other name, you shall not struggle to manifest your glorious destiny.

When you are determined and conscious of building your spiritual capacity, you cannot miss the Revelation of God concerning your life.

Listen to this, Physical capacity cannot have access to Revelation because they are spiritual in nature, rather it takes a robust and a fruitful spiritual life to have access to Revelation.

Prayer point:

You shall not miss the revelation for your destiny in Jesus name.
