TOPIC: Learning and Growth
TEXT: Proverbs 1:5
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: [kjv]
MESSAGE:
Growth is a continuous process that requires intentional learning. The Bible says, *“A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels”* (Proverbs 1:5). This reveals that growth is not automatic—it is the result of a deliberate pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
Those who desire progress must be willing to gain knowledge, develop skills, and improve consistently. Learning is not limited to formal education; it includes spiritual growth, personal development, and practical life experiences. The more you learn, the more equipped you become to handle greater responsibilities (2 Timothy 2:15).
Wise individuals remain teachable. They do not assume they know everything but continually seek counsel and guidance. The Scripture says, *“In the multitude of counsellors there is safety”* (Proverbs 11:14). A teachable spirit attracts wisdom, while pride blocks growth (Proverbs 13:10). When you humble yourself to learn, you position yourself for elevation.
In a constantly changing world, continuous learning is essential for relevance and effectiveness. What you knew yesterday may not be enough for today’s challenges. This is why the Bible encourages us to grow: *“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”* (2 Peter 3:18). Growth keeps you spiritually alive, mentally sharp, and purposefully aligned.
God has given every believer the capacity to grow and improve. However, that capacity must be developed. When you invest in knowledge, you expand your ability to succeed and make impact (Ecclesiastes 10:10). Ignorance limits, but knowledge empowers.
Never stop learning, because the day you stop learning is the day you stop growing. Stay hungry for knowledge, remain open to correction, and commit yourself to continuous improvement. As you do, you will experience greater levels of wisdom, favor, and success.

PRAYER:
My Father,My Lord, help me to remain teachable and committed to growth. Give me the hunger to seek knowledge and the humility to receive instruction. Empower me by Your Spirit to grow daily in wisdom, understanding, and capacity for greater success. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
