To teach the women to love and submit to their own husbands and create an atmosphere of love where peace, joy and unity reign. *MEMORY VERSE*
"Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:23, KJV)"

*STANDING MEANS REFUSING TO GIVE UP*

Ephesians 6:13 says:
"...having done all, to stand."

Scripture repeatedly uses the word stand. This implies that there is resistance.
If there were no opposition, there would be no need to stand.

*INSTANCES WHEN YOU HAVE TO STAND*
When:
• The answer is delayed.
• ⁠Your prayer seems unanswered.
• ⁠People discourage you.
• ⁠Your circumstances look impossible.
• ⁠You have experienced disappointment.
• ⁠You are tempted to give up.

Galatians 6:9 encourages us thus:
" And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

You must bear in mind that your waiting season is not necessarily a wasted season.

Delay is not always denial.
It could be that God is preparing you for what He has promised."

I pray that the Almighty God will grant you understanding to know His mind concerning you at all times in Jesus name.

*MEMORY VERSE*

The month of August has been declared as the month of "Divine Visitation."
It is important to note that not every visitor comes in human form. Throughout scripture, God visited His people in different ways- with healings, directions, promises etc. Every divine visitation brought transformation.
Our August visitor is God Himself, the most majestic and glorious visitor whose presence transforms lives.
This month, may the August visitor-the king of kings visit you with mercy, favour and divine intervention in Jesus name.

*When God Visits, He:*
• Fulfils His purpose.
• ⁠Reveals His glory.
• ⁠Delivers His people.
• ⁠Restores what has been lost.
• ⁠Establishes His covenant.
• ⁠Opens doors
• ⁠Provides supernaturally
• ⁠Gives direction
• ⁠Brings joy and peace
• ⁠Pours fresh anointing.

*BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF DIVINE VISITATION*
• Abraham.. This visitation brought fulfilment of promise and ended a long season of waiting (Genesis 18:1-5)
• ⁠Sarah's visitation brought laughter. (Genesis 21:1-2).
• ⁠Zacchaeus's visitation brought salvation (Luke 19:1-10).
• ⁠Mary's visitation brought divine purpose. An ordinary woman being entrusted with divine responsibility.

*CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD'S VISITATION*
1. It comes at God's appointed time.(Ecclesiastes 3:11). I decree your time is here.
2. ⁠It often comes unexpectedly so we must be spiritually alert (Gen 18:1)
3. ⁠It changes impossible situations.(Luke 1:37).
4. ⁠It leaves lasting testimonies.

*HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE AUGUST VISITOR*
• Develop intimacy with God.(James 4:8)
• ⁠Walk in obedience.. It positions us for divine encounters(Isaiah 1:19).
• ⁠Maintain faith( Hebrews 11:6).
• ⁠Live a holy life(Psalm 24:3-4).
• ⁠Show hospitality and kindness (Hebrews 13:2)

The greatest visitor you can ever receive is the Lord Himself. When He visits, transformation takes place, barren places become fruitful, closed doors open, the hopeless receive hope and delayed promises come to pass.
As you go through the month of August, expect God's visitation in every area of your life. His visitation can accomplish what years of struggle could not.
I pray that this month marks God's unmistakable presence in your life and may every divine visitation produce a lasting testimony in your life in Jesus name.

*TOPIC: THE STRATEGY OF FLEEING*

*TEXT: 1 Corinthians 6:18-20*

*MEMORY VERSE*
"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body(1 Corinthians 6:18)."

Bible lessons on the "strategy of fleeing" highlight that running away from danger is not an act of cowardice, but a strategic, God-honoring choice for survival and holiness. Scriptural flight shows us that victory often comes from changing our location rather than engaging in a fight we cannot win.

*THE MANDATE TO FLEE*

*Run from Sin*
The New Testament uses urgent language, ordering believers to flee rather than argue or compromise. 1 Corinthians 6:18 commands us to "flee from sexual immorality.

*Run from Idolatry*
1 Corinthians 10:14 tells the church to "flee from idolatry," which means removing oneself from environments that distort your devotion to God.

*Run from Greed*
1 Timothy 6:10-11 warns that the love of money causes destruction, instructing believers to flee these things and pursue righteousness instead.

*Run from Youthful Passions*
2 Timothy 2:22 instructs readers to flee the evil desires of youth and eagerly chase peace alongside other believers.
You will discover that as you obey God and flee as instructed, your relationship with God is strengthened and you will enjoy peace of mind.

May we receive grace to know when to run in Jesus name.

1.Father, Please sharpen my sensitivity and give me the grace to run from danger anytime I am faced with one in Jesus name.

"It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not ..(Lamentations 3:22)"

The "flavours" or facets of God’s mercy reveal how His compassion meets our specific human needs. Mercy is not just one single action; it is God withholding the punishment we do deserve while giving us the help we do not deserve.

*THE FACETS (FLAVOURS) OF MERCY*

*Preventative Mercy* Keeps us from making mistakes or going down paths that destroy our lives before we even realize the danger.

*Sustaining Mercy* Refreshes us daily. Lamentations 3:22–23 tells us His compassions are new every single morning.

*Rescuing Mercy*
Steps in during a crisis when we are trapped or facing judgment, just as it did for Bartimaeus on the road to Jericho (Mark 10:46–52).

*Restorative Mercy* Rebuilds broken lives, heals our past, and gives us a clean slate, mirroring the forgiveness shown to King David in Psalm 51.

*KEY TRUTHS TO REMEMBER*
1.Mercy triumphs over judgment: James 2:13 reminds us that holding an unforgiving heart blocks grace, but showing mercy brings victory.

2.It cannot be earned: Ephesians 2:4–5 highlights that God’s rich mercy flows purely from His great love for us while we are helpless. We must pass it on: Matthew 5:7 states that the merciful receive mercy, calling us to show the same kindness to others so that we will continually enjoy God's mercy.

*TOPIC: ABUSER OF POWER AND OFFICE*

*TEXT: 1 KINGS 21:1-29*

*MEMORY VERSE:*
_Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand (Micah 2:1)._

Power and position are gifts that come with responsibility. Whether in the church, workplace, government, family or any place of leadership, God expects those who have authority to use it to serve, protect and build others not to oppress them.
An abuser of power and office is someone who uses a position of authority for personal advantage, intimidation, exploitation, revenge or control.
We must realise that whatever position we occupy is temporary. God who gave you the position will one day demand an account of how it was used.

All power and authority belongs to God and He gives such to anyone as He pleases. Being the Almighty God who presides over all, and with all the power He has at His disposal, He still remains a just and righteous God.

God does not bully or abuse His authority even when the whole world knows that no one can contest or question His power or whatever way He chooses to rule and reign. God expects His children whom He has blessed to be in the position of power and authority to be just and righteous in their respective offices, homes, conglomerate etc.

Before God gave you that position, He has invested in you all that is needed to do His will. (Genesis 18:19). It is therefore an evil thing in the sight of God if a man that is priviledged to be in a position to lead others fails to do so.

*A FEW EXAMPLES OF ABUSERS OF POWER*

A man can never be greater than his maker who blessed him with that privilege. Hence, when King Ahab misused his power and office by forcefully taking Naboth's vineyard, misfortune befell him until he repented. Read 1 Kings 21. God loves His children. He wouldn't just sit back to watch others met out evil to His people or treat them cruelly or unfairly.

King Nebuchadnezer abused his power also by believing and acting as if it was his might that built the kingdom. He paid the price. Read Daniel 4:30-33.

The position you occupy today was prepared and given to you by God to execute His will, positively influence lives, to make a difference and lead His people to Him. Do not use your office to perpetrate evil, for injustice or to unjustly lord yourself over others, rob others or to carry out your selfish agendas.

Beloved, don't abuse the privilege given to you because there are consequences for such from God.
Ezekiel 34:4 rebukes shepherds who ruled God's people harshly instead of caring for them. So if God has placed people under your influence, know it that they are not your possessions. They belong to God. Mistreating them attracts God's judgment.(Micah 3:4).
If you are an abuser of power or position, repent today.

*PRAYER POINTS:*
1. Father, please enable me by the help of the Holy Spirit never to abuse my position, power or office in Jesus name.

2. Father, help me not to betray your trust and the privildege you have reposed in me to do your will in Jesus name

*SUNDAY, 16TH AUGUST, 2026*

*TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF JONAH (PT 9)*
(GOD'S COMPASSION IS GREATER THAN HUMAN JUDGEMENT).

*TEXT: MICAH 7:18-19*

*MEMORY VERSE*
"But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. (Matthew 9:36, KJV)."

The book of Jonah closes with a revelation of one of the most beautiful truths about God's character as encapsulated in Jonah 4:11.
"And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and [also] much cattle?"
Therein is revealed the fact that His compassion is far greater than human judgment.
While Jonah focused on what the people of Nineveh deserved, God focused on what they needed- His mercy. Jonah wanted justice but God desired repentance.
After they repented, Jonah became angry because God withheld the judgment He had announced. Read Jonah 4:1-11.
The lesson in chapter 4, reminds us that God's heart is always inclined towards redemption. He takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked but that sinners turn from their evil ways and find life in Him. ( Ezekiel 33:11; 2 Peter 3:9). This explains why most of the wicked people troubling us are not dead yet as we call forth judgment on them.
We are like Jonah. We quickly condemn those who have failed, hold grudges against those who have hurt us or believe certain people are beyond God's forgiveness. Yet we forget that we ourselves stand only because of His grace. The same mercy that rescued us is the same mercy God extends to others.
We see this demonstrated by Jesus in His earthly ministry. He forgave sinners, welcomed outcasts, touched lepers and even prayed for those that crucified Him. His compassion reached beyond human prejudice and revealed the very heart of the father.
As believers, we are called to reflect that same compassion. This does not mean ignoring sin or compromising the truth. Rather, it means speaking the truth in love, praying for those who have gone astray, extending forgiveness and never giving up on the transforming power of God's saving grace.

I pray that the Lord will replace every spirit of criticism, resentment and self-righteousness with His heart of compassion. Henceforth, begin to see people as God sees them in Jesus name.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father, thank You for the mercy You have shown me through Jesus Christ. Forgive me for every time I have been quick to judge and slow to show compassion in Jesus name.
2. ⁠O Lord, help me to see others through Your eyes, to pray for those who are far from You and to extend forgiveness as You have forgiven me in Jesus name.

*DECLARATION*
I decree and declare that henceforth, your life will reflect the compassion of Christ to everyone you encounter in Jesus name.

*TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF JONAH (PT 8)*
(SPIRITUAL SUCCESS DOES NOT GUARANTEE SPIRITUAL MATURITY)

*TEXT: JONAH 4:1-11*

*MEMORY VERSE*
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. (James 3:17, KJV)"

The book of Jonah teaches us that outward ministry achievements do not always reflect inward spiritual maturity.
It is possible to experience success while still having areas of the heart that need God's transformation.
*God is concerned not only with what we accomplish for Him but also with who we are becoming in Him*
The scripture tells us that after Jonah preached to the people of Nineveh and they repented, instead of rejoicing over their salvation, Jonah became angry because God showed them mercy.
The revival exposed a problem that had been hidden in Jonah's heart. He desired God's grace for himself but struggled to extend that same grace to others.
God lovingly confronted Jonah through the lesson of the plant that grew to provide shade and then withered away. Jonah grieved over the loss of a plant, yet he showed little compassion for the people of Nineveh. Through this, God revealed that Jonah's heart still needed to be shaped by divine compassion.
This is a warning for every believer. We may preach powerful sermons, lead ministries, pray fervently or faithfully serve in church, yet still harbour pride, bitterness, jealousy, unforgiveness or self-righteousness.
It is important to note that :
• Spiritual gifts and visible success are not substitutes for Christlike character.
God desires both transformed hearts and a fruitful service.
• True spiritual maturity is measured by the fruit of the Spirit rather than public recognition.
• ⁠A mature believer reflects humility instead of pride; Mercy instead of judgment; forgiveness instead of resentment and love instead of selfish ambition.

As we walk with God, He continues to expose areas of our hearts that need to be refined so that we can become more like Christ.

Beloved, as we journey in our christian race, ask God not only to use you but to change you.
Pray that your character will reflect the heart of Christ.
Let your greatest desire be not merely to accomplish great things for God but to grow into the likeness of His son.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father, thank You for the opportunity given to me to serve You. I ask that You search my heart and reveal every attitude that does not please You in Jesus name.
2. ⁠Father, fill me with Your love, humility and compassion in Jesus name.

*TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF JONAH (PT 7)*
GOD CARES ABOUT EVERY NATION AND EVERY SOUL.

*TEXT: Acts 10: 34-35*

*MEMORY VERSE*
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, KJV)"

It is not God's will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.(2 Peter 3:9). This is clearly demonstrated in the book of Jonah.
One of the greatest revelations in this book is the boundless compassion of God. Jonah did not see any reason why God should show mercy towards the people of Nineveh, being enemies of Israel. They were known for their violence and wickedness. To Jonah, they deserved judgement. But God's heart was different. He did not only see a sinful nation, but a people who needed an opportunity to repent and be saved. God spared the city because He delights in repentance more than destruction.
This account shows that God's love knows no bounds. His mercy is not limited by nationality, ethnicity, language, social status or past failures. We all bear His image and are precious in His sight.
God's love for mankind , not just a specific nationality, propelled Him to send His only begotten son to die for us.
The same God who loved Israel also loved Nineveh.
Jesus affirmed this truth in His earthly ministry. He welcomed those rejected by society. He ministered to people from different backgrounds and ultimately gave His life so that everyone would receive salvation.
As believers, we must guard our hearts against prejudice, favouritism and indifference towards others. Do not limit your prayers to only those who are easy going while neglecting others who seem different or difficult to love.(Acts 10:34-35).
God is calling us to intercede for nations, our neighbours, to forgive our enemies and proclaim the good news to everyone without discrimination.
Remember that no heart is too hard for God to soften and no life is too broken for His grace to restore. The same mercy that saved you is available to them.
Today, ask God to fill your heart with compassion. Be willing to share His love with those He places in your path, remembering that every soul matters to Him.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father, forgive me for every attitude of prejudice, pride or indifference that has kept me from loving others as You do in Jesus name.
2. ⁠ Father, fill my heart with compassion for lost souls and make me a faithful witness of your grace in Jesus name.

*TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF JONAH ( PT 6)*
OBEDIENCE RELEASES GOD'S POWER.

*TEXT: JONAH 3:1-10*

*MEMORY VERSE*
"So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. ..(Jonah 3:3, KJV)"

Jonah finally obeyed and the entire city of Nineveh repented.
Never underestimate what God can do through your obedience.
God's power is never limited but our experience of it is often connected to our obedience.
Throughout scripture, God consistently worked through men and women who were willing to trust Him and follow His instructions even when those instructions seemed difficult or beyond human understanding. Obedience positions us to witness God's power at work.
Jonah's life illustrates this truth vividly. After his encounter with God in the belly of the fish, Jonah received the same assignment a second time to go and proclaim God's message. This time, he obeyed. The result was extraordinary. A city known for its wickedness responded to God's warning with repentance. From the king to the common people and even their livestock. The entire nation humbled itself before God. What Jonah could not have accomplished through human wisdom or eloquence, God accomplished through his obedience.
It is important to note that the power was not in Jonah himself but in the God who sent him.
Jonah's responsibility was obedience while God's responsibility was the outcome.
The same principle applies to us today. We are called to obey God's Word , to share the gospel, forgive those who hurt us , serve faithfully and follow His leading. When we do, God works through our obedience to accomplish results far beyond our ability.

Many of us desire God's power but overlook the pathway that leads to it.
We pray for miracles while resisting His instructions.
We seek open doors while we ignore His voice. Yet God's greatest works begin with simple acts of obedience.
Noah simply obeyed God's instruction to build the ark before the flood came.(Genesis 6:13-14, 22).
Moses stretched out his rod before the sea parted.(Exodus 14:21-22).
Joshua marched around Jericho before the walls fell ( Joshua 6:1-20 ).
Peter cast his net again at Jesus' command before experiencing the miraculous catch (Luke 5:4-7).
In each of the above cases, obedience preceded the manifestation of God's power.

Perhaps God has been speaking to you about an area of obedience. It may be a step of faith, a ministry assignment, an act of forgiveness or a call to deeper concentration. Do not delay. Your obedience may become the key that unlocks God's purpose not only in your life but also in the lives of many others.
Today, choose to obey God without hesitation. Leave the results in God's hands, trusting that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

From this encounter you will discover that:
• One act of obedience can change countless lives.
• ⁠God can use imperfect people to accomplish His perfect will.
• ⁠Revival often begins with one obedient servant.

As you walk in obedience, you will discover that God's power is released where hearts are surrendered to His will.
The grace to walk in absolute obedience receive in Jesus name.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father, thank You for calling me to partner with You through obedience. Please Lord forgive me for every delay or resistance to Your instructions in Jesus name.
2. ⁠Father, give me a willing heart that responds promptly to Your voice in Jesus name.
