Keep it simple, keep it honest, and keep it

There are people who want you to fail so that they can justify the risks they didn't take. 'We knew it,' they'll say.

Others want you to fail as a punishment because your spirit irritates them. They may be your bosses or seniors, but the way you believe in yourself and move with confidence challenges their hidden inferiority.

There are others who are opposed to your success because they want to maintain the narrative they've been telling people about you. 'You're overrated. You'll amount to nothing.'

There are still others who will obstruct you so that you don't surpass their own records. 'How can you be doing all this when you're so young, yet it took us so many years?'

In other words, you're surrounded by people who have more reasons to oppose you than to support you.

Many people will always take your success as a personal challenge to them because they're also wishing for it.

They may not be working for it, but they wish to get such a recognition.

You can't succeed while surrounded by these silent competitors because they see you as a threat while you see them as colleagues or friends.

Your solution is to master the art of cautious collaboration and powerful self-reliance.

Carefully select your allies and constantly improve your ability to survive with little support.

Marry for life and not just for love.

Make friends based on loyalty more than good feelings or historical connections.

Make sure your inner circle is a source of strength and support rather than stress and opposition.
