May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.-Num. 6:25
God does smile and we can make him smile;
when we love him supremely: God made us to love us, and he longs for us to love him back.
when we trust him completely: Noah trusted God when it didn't make sense.
when we obey him wholeheartedly: obedience unlocks understanding. God does not owe us as explanation or reason for everything he asks us to do.
when we praise and thank him continually: An amazing thing happens when we offer praise and thanksgiving to God. When we give God enjoyment, our own hearts are filled with joy.
when we use our abilities: Every human activity, except sin, can be done for God's pleasure if we do it with an attitude of praise.
