GOD IS NOT CIVILIZED

Sometimes when I look at the way this generation is handling spiritual matters, I wonder if it's the same God we read about in the Bible we still worship today.

This generation has perverted godliness and diluted the gospel all in the name of civilization. Today you hear a man say “This is 21st century and we can't be living the ancient life.” What! You mean you've outgrown the scriptural standard because of civilization? You mean you can now ignore the standards of the scripture because it's 21st century? Oh I weep for this generation!

I remember some years ago dating was a sin for Christians, but today, it's no more. Some years ago pastors will never join couples together if they every find out they've been indulging in sin, but today, it's recommended to get married as soon as you start having s*x. And some pastors even have the effrontery to officiate a marriage where the bride is already pregnant.

Some years ago you dare not insult a man of God because there's always a divine judgment for it, but today, some people insult their pastor and gossip all sort of things about them. Some can even beat their pastor —don't be surprised I've had such experience too. Someone fought me because she believed I was preaching against her.

Listen carefully, God is not civilized. Whether there's technology advancement or increase in Knowledge, God remains who He is. He won't change His standard for anybody —not even for Israel, His beloved nation. God will never bend or submit to your standard or civilization, you're the one who should submit to His word.

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
2 Tim 2:19 KJV

If God has called anything a sin in the scripture, it must be. If God has commanded you to flee anything, it must be. DON'T try to dilute the word all in the name of knowledge, technology or civilization. God cannot be mocked. DEPART from iniquity....it's for your own good. And the Lord will keep you from falling in Jesus name.

“... though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me...” Ps.23:4

There's no other confidence than this. From this scripture we can see how the Psalmist is making the bold confession. He was so full of conviction. He was very sure that no matter the situation surrounding him, God's presence will always see him through.

Can we also be this confident today? Can we be so sure that the presence of God is with us?

And, it's not as if God's presence is not always with us (for he said “I will never leave you nor forsake you”) but we are the ones not carrying the consciousness of His presence in our minds.

As God's children, we must always carry God in our hearts and confess it boldly that He is with us. When we become fully aware of His presence, fear will flee from us and we can walk with God in full assurance of faith. We will find it easier to keep ourselves from sin when we realize that His presence is always with us wherever we go.

Read Psalms 23:1-6 out loudly.

There's only one assignment that God has given to all those who truly believes in Him— to preach the gospel to every creature.

To proclaim the Good News to every living being. It's indeed a good news, the News of how God became a man so that He can reconcile us back to Himself. The News of how our sins were forgiven through the washing away of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary.

ONLY JESUS CAN SATISFY

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”
Col 2:10 KJV

When I was much younger, I used to think having my parents by my side will give me the most security, but when I lost my dad, I suddenly realized that I'm not being protected by any man. When I was in high school I thought being a university graduate will give me the most satisfaction in life, but that was far from the truth. I even thought having a well-paying job would give the most satisfaction in life, but not at all.

Human needs are so numerous, and nothing in this world could ever satisfy. You may be very rich in wealth, you may have a beautiful wife and wonderful children, you may even have large estates with a billion dollars in value, but these things can never satisfy you. There will always be a vacuum in your life that you can't explain. Yes, you will feel it. You will know it. You may not be able to explain why you're feeling such need in your life because it's something your brain can't carry.

However the need you might be having in your life, Jesus can fill it. He is our perfection. It is through Him we can be completely satisfied.

Are you feeling empty, lonely or insecure? Are you having fear or troubled about the future? Jesus is the answer you need. Call upon his name today!

IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

It happened on that fateful afternoon at about 3pm when Peter and John were going to the temple to pray. At that time the church had not been established, so all the Apostles still worshipped the Jewish way.

It was prayer time and everyone was entering the synagogue to pray until these two unkempt men came by. They wanted to follow through the beautiful gate to avoid the rush at the main gate and then, they saw this 40-years old man who has been begging by the gate since he was a boy.

His disability could not allow him enter the temple to pray like other people and all he could do was sit at the gate side and beg for alms. When Peter and John saw him, they were touched with compassion. “How could a grown up man like this be begging here everyday because of a medical condition? In the rain he was here, in the sun he was here.... that's terrible!” they thought.

And suddenly, they moved towards him and seeing them he began to hope for another shekel of silver. But Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

The lame man couldn't understand what they were up to. “Why are you trying to embarrass me? I've been like this for almost 40 years now and you're telling me to walk... Just like that?”
While he was still reasoning within himself Peter held his hand up and Eiiiiii🔥🔥🔥🔥 I hear the cracking of bones..... They're straightening up.... Hallelujah 🔥🔥🔥
The miracle is happening..... Glory to Jesus!!!!!!

In less than 10 minutes, the crowd had gathered. Those praying in the temple ran out, the priests leading prayers were confused so they all came out to see the miracle that has just taken place..... The man who had been lame for 40 whole years is now leaping for joy.

How did this happen? It happened IN THE NAME OF JESUS!
In this name miracles happen, in this name the blind sees, in this name the lame walks, in this name the barren conceive.... This is the only name that demons fear both in heaven and on earth. When we ask anything in the name of Jesus, God answer us.

I pray for somebody reading this right now, your story is changing now for better in the name of Jesus!
