HAPPY BIBLICAL NEW YEAR.
The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, “This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year. (Exodus 12 vs 1)
The month of Abib is the first month of each biblical year and also the month of deliverance. It was in this month that the almighty gave the law of Passover upon which he delivered the tribe of Israel from bo***ge.
Are you in bo***ge of any kind? Is there anything that has being troubling your life and you want the almighty to deliver you from it? What’s your expectation about that deliverance coming your way as soon as possible? My dear, the truth is no one puts a new wine in an old wine skin. Sir / ma, if there is a deliverance you seek, then there is a sin or bad attitude you need to drop.
When the Almighty asked the Israelites to observe the first Passover, he asked them to make sure that the animal for the Pascal meal is without blemish representing the family where it is killed. The without blemish, simply means no error or deformity. Simply put, it means without SIN. Our messiah Jesus Christ (blessed be he) made it more explicit when he said, "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.” (Mathew 5:23 – 24).
If any sin / error is found on the Pascal animal then it won’t be accepted for sacrifice unto the almighty. Alas!!! How do we expect the almighty to deliver us from bo***ge while there is big time error in us?
Truly, “Righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach to any people”. (Proverbs 14:34).
No father will be happy to give his child blessing knowing fully well that the said child goes contrary to what the father asks him or her to do. This is how it is with the Almighty. Our God is a jealous God.
True repentance is "to turn away from evil, and to turn to the good.". Three times Ezekiel included God's call to the people of Israel: "Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!" "Repent! Turn away from all your offenses", "Turn! Turn from your evil ways" (Ezikiel 18 : 20).
Repentance is NOT asking the Lord for forgiveness with the intent to sin again.
Repentance is an honest, regretful acknowledgement of sin with commitment to change.
Repentance leads us to cultivate godliness while eradicating habits that lead into sin.
Brethren lets confess our sin and forsake our evil ways that the Almighty will hear our prayers in this year’s feast of Passover and bless us mightily. Amen
“From the west, people will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the Lord drives along.
“The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the Lord. ( Isaiah 59 : 19- 20).

Today is Wednesday, Tishrei 10, 5780 · October 9, 2019.
DAY OF ATONEMENT

The Day of atonement is the holiest day of the year to a sabbath faithful. On this day, we are closest to the Almighty and to the quintessential core of our own souls. It is the "Day of Atonement" -- "For on this day He will forgive you, to purify you, that you be cleansed from all your sins before the Almighty" (Leviticus 16:30).

Through out the day, we "afflict our souls": we abstain from food and drink, laborious work and abstain from marital relations.(Leviticus 23:26-32)

The day is the most solemn of the year, yet an undertone of joy follows it: a joy that revels in the spirituality of the day and expresses the confidence that the Almighty will accept our repentance, forgive our sins, and seal our verdict for a year of life, health and happiness.

As we observe this day, may the almighty in His infinite mercy, hear us, forgive us, and heal our lands......AMEN

It's out of the abundance of His love that He made these appointed times in the year that we may recalibrate our mode of living to be in conformity with His standards. The Almighty never wants His children to perish as He's always open to accept us back, provided we express admittance to our wrong doings.

As we observe these times, mostly the DAY OF ATONEMENT, may the Almighty be merciful unto us and grant us the holy spirit that will keep us in His path all the days of our lives. Amen

This question got to me this morning and I am looking for someone to help unravel the answer . If you have time answer me (why) Noah made the Arch in 40 days the rains/storm lasted for 40days the Israelites walked through the desert for 40 years the tower of barbel was built in 40 days
Jesus Christ fasted for 40days He ascended to heaven after 40 days Easter is celebrated after 40 days. Life begins at 40. Pass mark starts at 40. Why 40?

What I believe is so beautiful about Sabbat is that God doesn't need our permission. God does not reschedule His appointed times to fit our schedule. It comes with or without us. It just IS. When the sun sets every Friday it is Sabbat and it just IS.
Sabbat is not like Church that we can choose to go to or not. Sabbat is not like a light switch we can turn off and on when we want to. It happens whether we remember it or not. It just IS.
Choosing to remember Sabbat or not doesn't diminish it at all because it is going to happen with or without us. Choosing to not remember it for whatever reason is not changing the fact that Sabbat IS, we are only excluding ourselves from it. Remain blessed as you remember the SABBATH.
