He is risen indeed, Hallelujah!

The Anglican Chapel of Light is proud to announce the success of the Jesus Easter Mission Storm held on March 29th to 31st in the Ira Nla community!

We were delighted to welcome members of the community to celebrate the glorious Easter weekend with us. The open-air film shows provided a soul-searching and engaging way to share the message of Christ's resurrection, while the Easter service on March 31st offered a more traditional setting for worship and reflection.

In addition to the spiritual nourishment, we were also able to provide attendees with packs of food and snacks. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community and share the joy of Easter with our neighbors.

We look forward to continuing to serve the Ira Nla community in the future. We thank all our partners - God's children from all over who made the Mission Storm a success. God will always record and reward your good works as you continually serve Him with all that you have.

Please join us in sharing the good news of Easter as you worship with us where we share the love of Christ together!

🌟 Reflecting on the Price of the Cross and Sacrifice of Good Friday and The Solemn Adoration of Christ Crucified 🌟

Good Friday reminds us at Anglican Chapel of Light about alll that Christ did for us. We all waited solemnly to re-enact the Lord's suffering on this day. As we immersed ourselves in prayer, scripture, and reflection, we were reminded of the immense sacrifice that Christ made for each one of us.

On this day, we preach a message to the world: Christ gave his life so that we may have eternal life. His ultimate act of love calls us to live our lives for him, to walk in his footsteps, and to embody his teachings of love, compassion, and forgiveness.

Let us not forget the depth of his sacrifice or the magnitude of his love. As we leave this service and continue our journey, may we carry the message of Good Friday in our hearts, spreading hope, love, and light wherever we go.

Blessings to all on this solemn day. πŸ™

🌟 Commemorating the Institution of the Lord's Supper 🌟

"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, β€œThis is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” Luke 22:19

Today at the Anglican Chapel of Light, we celebrated the Maundy Thursday Communion, the Washing of the Feet and The Stripping of the Altar. We reflected deeply on the profound significance of this sacred day. It's a time when we honor the institution of the Lord's Supper, a momentous event where Jesus, in his last supper with his disciples, imparted to them the timeless ritual of breaking bread and sharing wine in remembrance of him. The Eucharist was celebrated by The Revd. Ayo Onifade and homily was themed "Humility in Service"

The act of breaking bread and sharing the cup symbolizes the ultimate sacrifice of loveβ€”Jesus offering his own body and blood for the redemption of humanity. It's a solemn reminder of the depth of God's love for each one of us, a love so boundless that it led to the ultimate act of selflessness and grace.

On this Maundy Thursday, let us not only partake in the sacrament of communion but also pause to reflect on the profound significance of Jesus' words. Let us remember his sacrifice, his teachings, and his everlasting love. May this observance deepen our faith, strengthen our resolve to follow in his footsteps, and inspire us to embody his love and compassion in all that we do.

Blessings to all as we observe this sacred day together. πŸ™

🌿 Today, on this blessed Palm Sunday, we celebrate as a congregation at the Anglican Chapel of Light to commemorate the triumphal entry of our Savior into Jerusalem. As we wave palm branches and sing "Hosannah in the highest," we reflect on the significance of of a day like this. It is a reminder of Jesus' unwavering love and sacrifice for us all.

In Luke 13:31-35, the world chorused loud, "Hosannah in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." These words echo through generations, resonating with the joy and hope of salvation that Jesus brings.

We will carry the spirit of Palm Sunday with us throughout this Holy Week, reflecting on Jesus' journey to the cross and the ultimate victory of His resurrection.

We pray for grace to walk in His footsteps, spreading love, kindness, and compassion to all those around us. Our special thanks to our dear father and fellow labourer, our Reader, Otunba Phillip Jaiyeola for blessing us with the word - fresh oil in Jesus name.

Wishing you all a blessed Palm Sunday filled with the grace and peace of our Lord. πŸ™

Easter Jesus Mission Storm

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Proverbs 19:17

The Light Outreach, the missionary and social welfare arm of The Anglican Chapel of Light is reaching out to the poor, the needy and the less privileged at this season of Easter in the Ira Nla community. We have been engaging with the traditional ruler of the community and the leaders of the district as well as volunteers on how we intend to do a 3 day Jesus Mission Storm.

We planned to do:

1- Food sharing and evening film show of Jesus' Passion on Friday
2- Food sharing and medical mission as well as an evangelical film show in the evening on Saturday
3- Easter Sunday teaching, counselling and welcoming service and food pack distribution to round up the Easter Jesus Storm.

Jesus shall be honored and He shall restore hope to a troubled world.

His Victory message shall resound loud in all the earth this Easter.

Join us as we take Jesus to every crying heart.
