Topic: *FAITH IS AN EVIDENCE*

*Bible Text* : Hebrews 11:1
_Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen._ [NKJV]

· *Just a Charge* :
Faith is not just a substance; it is also “an evidence” …… “of things not seen”. Evidence is fact or sign that shows clearly that something exists or is true. Other words that can be used as synonyms of evidence are “proof”, “demonstration”, “conviction” or “persuasion”. Faith evidences the reality and certainty of future things, it materializes invisible realities of another world unto our minds, and causes us to believe them as strongly as what we see with our physical eyes. A lively faith gives such a reality, certainty, and present being to things “hoped for”, and yet to come, as if they were visibly seen and actually enjoyed. Without faith we would be limited to the very narrow world comprehended by the human senses!
For instance, eternal life is promised to us, but it only becomes “real” and realized after we sleep the sleep of death here on earth. Meanwhile, our faith makes this promise so real to us as if we have already literally inherited it. Again, we are promised abundance of all goods. Faith gives us the persuasion that this promise is real, even though we still endure hunger and thirst! God declares that He is our present Help in time of trouble, and we expect Him to immediately come to our help whenever in trouble. Meanwhile, He seems deaf to our cries! Yet, faith keeps us convinced He will yet appear unto our help!
What would have been our lot in this world if we do not have faith and hope to lean on? Faith makes our face to shine in a hopeless world! The indestructible proof of faith continually makes God and His promises real unto us, even though neither have we seen! Faith keeps us following God even when the world says there is no God; all because He is real to us! No wonder that no one can please Him without faith!
May our faith live on unto the end of our realization of unseen but real eternity, in Jesus mighty name. Amen! May we never lose the evidence of faith all through our pilgrimage here on earth, in Jesus name. Amen! May God strengthen our faith and keep our conviction alive from today, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!

1. Thank God for preserving you and all yours alive today.
2. Our God is faithful. He is able to do all He has promised to do. Worship Him for this.
3. Without faith, no man can receive anything from God. With a repentant heart, ask God to forgive your faithlessness today.
4. Father, please strengthen my faith in You today, in Jesus might name.
5. Father, revive my hope in Your promises today, in Jesus mighty name.
6. Father, please help me never to faint in my hope of eternity with You, in Jesus name. Let my faith in You keep me strong in hope to the end, in Jesus name.
7. Let us hand over our life and the lives of all that concerns us unto God. Father, please keep us save and secure from all the evil of the day, in Jesus name.

*Bible Text* : Psalms 23:1, 5
_1._ _The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want....5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over._ [KJV]


· *Just a Charge* :
Imagine this spectacle: Set before you and for you is a dinning-table boasting of the best dainties thinkable. Everything you may ever need for healthy growth can be found there. Meanwhile, just loitering around the corner are enemies who hated to see you feeding on even droplets from the poorest table! They are angry, but they are chained, mouth-capped, and crushed! There you are, eating and drinking with a joyful heart before your bemused and paralyzed enemies! They have been incapacitated by your God!

When the Lord is your Shepherd, not only will you not lack any good thing, no enemy can stop you from enjoying divine provisions and abundance. Your enemies need not to die; it provides an exciting spectacle to see your enemies to being impotent spectators in the days of your celebration! Just be sure you are a sheep under the Good Shepherd - the Lord Jesus Christ. This kind of spectacle is only available for the Shepherd's sheep. Are you His sheep? If not, settle this matter first, before you even nurse any realistic hope of enjoying this sort of amazing spectacle. If you are already a sheep, trust the Shepherd for this spectacle. May this be your testimony henceforth, in Jesus name. Amen!

When the Lord is your Shepherd, not only will you not lack any good thing, no enemy can stop you from enjoying divine provisions and abundance.

3. If you are a sheep of this Shepherd, rejoice! Thank God for your relationship with the Lord.
4. If you are not, please establish this relationship with the Lord today by repenting of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
5. Are you a sheep but yet living in fear of enemies? Today, pray that God will deliver you from such fear.
6. Trust in God for unhindered enjoyment of His provisions and blessings. Pray that the Lord shall turn your enemies to paralyzed spectators as you enjoy His bounties.
7. Finally, commit all that concerns you today unto the Lord.

Topic: *ALWAYS REMEMBER: MARRIAGE IS NOT A CONTRACT!*

*Bible Text* : Malachi 2:14
_Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant._ (KJV)

· *Just a Charge* :
Are you married? Are you looking towards being married? If so, let me remind you today, and please keep reminding yourself hereafter, that marriage is never a contract; that it is a covenant relationship. Short of operating under His covenant, a marriage loses God's involvement!

A contract is mere exchange of promises. It is, "If you do this to me, I will do this to you. If you give me that, I will give you that". Marriage relationship is far beyond this weak platform! On the other hand, covenant is an exchange of life. It is "a sacrifice of life for life". It is, "I give my life for you." It is, "I covenant (swear, vow, pledge) to do this or that for you as long as I live." There is no caveat or conditionality attached! You covenanted, your spouse covenanted; both of you gave up all to become one for life! This is the only acceptable platform for marriage. Whenever the covenant is violated or done away with, God steps out! The marriage becomes godless! The life of God is sniffed out of such marriage; and deadness is near!

Is your marriage operating under the covenant of God? Are you observing to keep the covenant you swore or deposed to on your wedding day? Please answer these questions sincerely today. If you have derailed, please find your way back to abide under the covenant from today. If you are still abiding, please jealously guard the covenant even the better. You need God to succeed in your marriage; God needs you to abide in His covenant in your marriage. Keep your marriage covenant to keep God in your marriage!

2. Extol the virtues of our God. He is. a covenant-keeping God.
3. Thank God for His mercy towards your marriage and family till today. Thank Him for upholding you with His right hand of righteousness.
4. Are you married? Do you really know that marriage is a very strong and sacred covenant relationship? If not, pray today that God's Spirit will open your eye of understanding to this fundamental truth today.
5. Are you fully aware that marriage is a covenant relationship? Are you married under God's covenant? If so, today, sincerely examine yourself vis-à-vis your marriage covenant. Judge yourself. Repent of every jot of violation you have done or been doing to the sacred covenant.
6. Pray that God will forgive you, help you to keep His covenant faithfully from today, and that He should please return to possess your marriage from today.
7. Pray that God will kindly heal every wound and damage already done to your marriage by the reason of eliminating God through covenant violation in the past.
8. Now, hand over your day unto God. Pray for His hands to be made positively manifest in all your endeavours.

Topic: *CHOICE-LESS REALITIES OF LIFE (2)*

*Bible Text* : Ezekiel 16:1-3
_1. Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2. "Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations, 3. and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD to Jerusalem: "Your birth and your nativity are from the land of Canaan; your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite._ [NKJV]

· *Just a Charge* :
Another reality of life in which you don’t have a say is who your parents are. No one chooses his or her own parents. In our Bible text above, God says, your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. Jerusalem, being personified, was said to be born to certain parents – father and mother. Those parents were not Jerusalem’s choice; they were God’s choice. It is God that gives children, and He gives them to whosoever He wills. The Bible says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.” [Psalms 127:3]. In that sense, your parents were chosen by God. You were born by them, not by mistake , but by the sovereign will of God.
Whoever, therefore, your parents may be; be grateful to God for them. They are the channels through whom it pleases God to send you into this world. It is self-torment to wish someone else were your parents! Rich or poor, literate or illiterate, whoever they are, they are servants of God to bring you to life. Appreciate them for who they are – your own parents by the will of God. Appreciate them for not aborting you in the womb – by which you won’t even be in existence today! Appreciate them for giving you the needful care in your tender age. Appreciate them for all their investment in you. Appreciate them for taking care of you on the behalf of God. Celebrate them. Honour them. Take care of them. Remember that you too are parents now, or would become one someday. Do unto them as you would your own children do unto you!

1. Thank God for the grace to rise up alive today.
2. Magnify the Owner of your life, the Almighty God.
3. Thank God for His choice of who your parents are. Thank God for His wisdom and will in choosing them to be your vehicle into this world.
4. Ephesians 6:1-3. Do you do despite to your parent because of their low estate? It is a sin that you must repent of today! Please humbly repent before God today. Pray that God should give you a new heart to value and honour them for who they are from today.
5. Dead or alive, thank God for your parents. Thank God for using them to sustain you alive, especially in your tender age in life.
6. If they are still alive (or one of them), pray for your parents today. Pray that their labour over your life will not be in vain. Pray that God will bless you to be a blessing to them in their old age, in Jesus name.
7. Also, pray that God will make you a good parent to His heritage He has or will be giving you also.
8. Commit your day unto God. Pray for the preservation of all yours from all the evil of the day.

*THE FAMILY ALTAR*
_Monday, 22nd of June, 2026_

Topic: *THE SPIRIT OF LIE (7)*

*Bible Text* : 1 Timothy 2:5-7
_5. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6. Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 7. Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity._ [KJV]

· *Just a Charge* :
Today, we are rounding up on the subject of the spirit of lie. Let us take a recap of the subtitles already discussed:
1. Lie is a spiritual language
2. Lie lies in the nature
3. Lie and liars have a father!
4. Different shades of lie
5. Why do people lie
6. All liars will go to hell
The final subtitle we are discussing today is "Overcoming the spirit of lie".
Yes, we can overcome lie. Lie is both a spirit and a nature which one can overcome. Just as it takes water to quench fire, so it takes the Spirit of truth to overcome the spirit of lie. The Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of truth. If you are born again, the Spirit of Christ is in you; otherwise, you are not "in Christ" (Romans 8:9). Therefore, there is no potential or even possibility of someone not having in him the Spirit of Christ to overcome the spirit of lie.
One can only speak the truth "in Christ". In our today's text, Paul wrote, speak the truth in Christ, and lie not. He also said in Romans 9:1, "I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost." The truth of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:10) must be in you, and be given the reign over your heart and tongue, and indeed over your whole being, before you can "lie not" in words and in deeds.
Take note: the Spirit of truth in you must be given the leeway to operate in you and speak and act the truth of Christ through you. He will act essentially through your conscience - the faculty that judges your words, deeds, etc. as to right or wrong. Your conscience will inform (that is, bear witness to) you as to whether you are saying the truth or telling lie, for instance. Nevertheless, you have the willpower to either heed, resist or reject the warnings of your conscience! This is where you either win or lose the battle over the spirit of lie! If you exercise your willpower over your conscience in yielding it to the promptings and warnings of the Spirit of truth, you are already on your way to conquering lie and being fluent in truth - the language of God's kingdom.
If you have problem concerning the exercise of the power of your conscience as you would which to surrender it to full use of the Spirit of truth, please take your struggle herein to God today. Pray for God's help to completely overcome the spirit of lie, so that you can abide in the truth of Christ from today. You will win!

If you have problem concerning the exercise of the power of your conscience as you would which to surrender it to full use of the Spirit of truth, please take your struggle herein to God today.

· *Today's scripture meditation* :
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

· *Prayer Points* :
1. Acknowledge the grace of God that keeps you and all yours alive today. Thank Him for this.
2. Extol the Spirit of Christ. He is the Spirit of truth.
3. Consider the dealings of the Lord you have received under this title. Give thanks to God for helping you concerning the matter of lying spirit.
4. Today, now that you have known the path to complete victory over the spirit of lie, if it is your desire, please pray to God for your victory today..
5. In particular, surrender your conscience to the Lord. Pray for the grace to positively exercise your willpower over your conscience to resist lying spirit from today.
6. Father, from today, help me to always speak and act in the truth of Christ.
7. Finally, commit all that concerns you and your house today unto God.

*THE FAMILY ALTAR*

Topic: *A LESSON IN SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP & FOLLOWERSHIP*

*Bible Text* : John 20:1-8:
_1. Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2. Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him." 3. Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. 4. So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. 5. And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7. and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. 8. Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed._ [NKJV]

· *Just a Charge* :
In response to Mary Magdalene’s report from the tomb of Jesus, Peter and the other disciple (John, to be precised), hastened to confirm what had happened. John, being younger, outran Peter to the tomb. However, he did not go in to the tomb until Peter had first gone in. Though he was there first and had a glimpse of what was inside, and could have entered in before Peter came, he would not do that in deference to the status of Peter. Peter was the leader of the disciples, and John had respect to that, and would not hasten to break the line of authority; even though he outran Peter and came to the tomb first.

This is very instructive to all concerning spiritual authority especially. Even though you seem to be stronger, more intelligent, a fast go-getter, etc., be careful to always show reverence and deference to whoever God has positioned over you as your spiritual leader. You might think that he is slow, not very strong and active as you are. Nevertheless, he bears rule over you by the authority God has given him. You have to respect him for the authority he holds. Don’t try to be too fast to run ahead of your spiritual leader. Don’t try to outsmart or outdo him in so much as to prove you are in anyway better than him. He is God’s guide over you; always give him the opportunity to serve God over your life and for your good. Always give honour to whom honour is due; your spiritual leader is such a one to whom you must always give due honour. You are surely safer to always queue behind your spiritual leader than to run ahead of him!

· *Prayer Points* :
1. Bless the Lord, O my soul. Bless Him who in His mercy preserves you thus far.
2. Let us worship our Head – Jesus Christ.
3. Consider your Local Assembly today. Give praise unto the Lord Jesus for the manifestations of His love and power in your church.
4. Are you in some position of spiritual authority today? If it is God that puts you there and not man, give thanks unto God for the privilege. Pray to God for increasing grace to fulfill the responsibilities expected of you in that position.
5. As a spiritual leader, pray for more grace to humble yourself under God as your own Leader. Pray that God will help you not to mislead those He had entrusted under you.
6. Do you have clear spiritual leader that the Lord has placed over your life? How have you been giving due deference and honour to such? Pray that God will have mercy on you and forgive your failure herein.
7. Pray today for humble heart to always give your spiritual leader the room to lead you as God pleases.
8. Commit your church and family to God today. Pray that the hand of God be manifest in you all today.
