Thanks be to God Almighty for another glorious service in His presence! 🙌✨
Our hearts were richly blessed during the service as we listened to the impactful message on the topic: “The Secret of a God-Centered Life”, ministered by Deacon Adeyekun.
📖 Text: Psalm 42:1–2, Job 23:12, Genesis 22:5, James 3:17
Through the message, we were reminded that living a God-centered life begins with having a genuine passion and hunger for God. Being passionate about God means developing a deep spiritual hunger and desiring more of His presence, His Spirit, and His Word.
The Word of God is very important in our lives because it helps us grow spiritually, strengthens our relationship with God, and keeps us aligned with His will. As we continually study and apply God's Word, we become more established in our walk with Him.
Through the message, we learned that there are important things that can help us draw closer to God:
1. Adoration and Worship of God 🙏
Worship is an important part of our relationship with God. It is not only about singing praises but also about honouring God, appreciating who He is, and giving Him the rightful place in our lives.
We were reminded of people who demonstrated a heart of worship, including David and Lazarus. Their lives remind us of the importance of having a heart that continually acknowledges and honours God.
2. Commitment to God's Word 📖
We must be committed to the Word of God and to the things that concern Him. God's Word should not only be something we hear but something we study, meditate upon, believe, and practise.
David was an example of someone who was committed to the things of God. His life teaches us the importance of making God and His Word a priority.
3. Faith in God's Wisdom 🕊️
For us to continue in the hands of God, we must have faith in His wisdom. There will be situations we may not understand, but we must learn to trust God and believe that His ways are better than ours.
Having faith in God's wisdom means trusting Him even when we cannot see or understand the full picture. A God-centered life is one that continues to depend on God and surrender completely to His will.
The message challenged us to make God the centre of our lives by developing a deeper hunger for Him, worshipping Him wholeheartedly, remaining committed to His Word, and trusting His wisdom in every situation.
May the Lord give us the grace to hunger more for Him, remain committed to His Word, worship Him wholeheartedly, and trust Him completely. May our lives continually reflect Christ and bring glory to His name.
In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏✨
