Somolu Olaleye |DCC HQ| April 2026 | Easter
Outreach

Somolu Olaleye District Coordinating Council (DCC HQ), under CAC Nigeria and Overseas, successfully carried out its annual Easter Outreach in alignment with its core mandate of soul winning, spiritual reawakening, and community impact. The outreach, organized by the Evangelical Department on Easter Monday, focused on ministering the message of Christ’s resurrection through the Word, prayer, and worship, while also demonstrating love through acts of giving. This year’s exercise reaffirmed the church’s commitment to both spiritual and social responsibility within its immediate environment.

The outreach covered key visitation centers including Kirikiri Correctional Centers (Minimum, Female, and Maximum), Modupe Cole Memorial Childcare & Treatment Home, Igbobi Orthopaedic Hospital, Special Correctional Centre Oregun, and Somolu General Hospital. At each location, ministers and team members shared the resurrection message, offered prayers, and encouraged inmates, patients, and caregivers with the hope and power found in Christ. The visits were warmly received, with evident appreciation, uplifted spirits, and testimonies of faith among beneficiaries.

Donations were distributed across all centers to support their immediate needs. Items donated included: packs of cooked rice; 50kg bags of rice; cassava flakes (garri); bags of beans; toiletries such as soap, detergents, toothpaste, toothbrushes, tissues, and air fresheners; as well as spaghetti, pampers, and other essential supplies. These contributions were thoughtfully allocated to meet the specific needs of each center, reflecting the church’s compassion and commitment to impactful giving.

The outreach was a great success, and all glory is returned to God Almighty. The leadership extends sincere appreciation to the DCC Superintendent, Pastor Joseph Oluwawemimo Akinyomi, the Curate Pastor, Pastor Peter Abiodun, as well as all elders, CACMA, Good Women, Youths, Media, Evangelical Department, and generous donors for their unwavering support.

With gratitude for this year’s achievements, the church looks forward to an even greater and more impactful outreach in the coming year.

To mark the resurrection of Christ, we stepped out to hospitals and prisons, sharing the message of His love, praying with them, and giving out gifts.

Moments like these remind us that hope is alive and reaches every heart. 🤍
