TOPIC: WHAT WAS YOUR ORDEAL IN 2025?

TEXT: JOB 2:11-13

MEDITATION

"Observing him from a distance, at first they didn't even recognize him, so they raised their voices and burst into tears. They each ripped their robes, threw ashes into the air on their heads." (Job 2:12).

Any Ordeal In 2025?

Job's friends saw him far off and could not control their tears. They were there to console him. Approaching the house, they couldn't recognize him.

His situation changed his appearance.

He was no more the Job they used to know. The rich Job they used to dine with became strange in their eyes.The richest man in the whole of East became a stranger in the whole of East. It was hard to believe, so for a whole week, none of them spoke a word to Job. Would you then be talking of drinking of water or eating of food?

Dry fasting for seven days. What of Job himself? Can you imagine the number of days he went without food?
When you are sick, your body become weak due to the battles in your system. What makes you strong a bit is the little food and water you take.

But Job story was different. That made his condition complex.

I don't think his wife, after her deadly advice to Job failed, she had no time for him anymore. So we will not be talking of bathing or cleaning him. Dirt alone can cause you fall sick. Indeed, this was a very serious case. But did Job quit serving God? NO!

Beloved, you get offended at almost everything. "Take your church or take your Jesus" will be your last words. You don't love God. You are just a follower of majority. A slight sickness, you have something to talk about.

Any challenge, you will jump on God. You are not a Christian yet. Job, with all his problems, still served God without any negative word against God.

What did you go through during the year 2025?

What happened to you?
What was your greatest disappointment?

Job went through similar of what you went through but nothing pushed him away from God.

MEDITATION

"The glory of God was its radiance, and its light was like a valuable gem, like jasper, as clear as crystal." (Revelation 21:11).

Are You Ready For The Bridegroom?

The angel told John to come for him to show him the bride. The bride adorned beautifully with apparel. She was ready for the bridegroom.

The bride is the church, you and me. We are the bride. The bridegroom is Jesus Christ, who is married to the bride (the church).

Those of you who leave the church, leave Jesus, because He is the owner of the church - the Head. Don't forget, the head of every couple is the husband.

The bride must be prepared enough to meet the bridegroom, Jesus. We cannot appear anyhow. We cannot put on rags to meet Him.

What do bride wear when she is getting married?

1. Rags?
2. Mini attire?
3. Show your bombs?
4. Show your breast?
5. Show your stomach?
6. Show your back?
7. Crazy jeans?

No, it can't be any of the above. You can't wear any of the above on your wedding day. You put on a good apparel, a bright white decent one for that matter.

Are you prepared as a bride to meet Jesus the bridegroom?
Jesus the bridegroom will not accept anything less, it must be expensive and quality.

Prepare yourself now?

Father, I am not perfect, hence wash me with the Blood of Jesus Christ and help me prepare for the bridegroom, Jesus, thank You my Lord,

MEDITATION

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23).

Has God Seen Your Works?

"...and God saw their works..."

God saw the works of the people, and saw their seriousness.
He saw their readiness to reconcile with their Maker.

He saw how eager they were to renounce their sins and embrace God's grace.

God saw how thirsty they were to receive God's Word.

The question is:

1. How serious are you to reconcile with God?

2. How thirsty are you to receive the Word of life?

3. How ready are you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour?

4. How eager are you to renounce your sins and embrace God's grace?

5. How serious are you beloved?

The people turned from their evil ways. They fasted and prayed, turned from their wicked ways. They turned from all the abominations they were involved in. They knew that God was serious about His plans.

They heard of how God destroyed the world with flood. They were aware of how God destroyed S***m and Gomorrah with fire. They heard of catastrophe God caused in Egypt and afterwards in the wilderness. They knew that God was not joking.

Don't forget friend, He is not only the God of twenty first century, but He is the God of all centuries, past, present and future. If you will stop sinning better stop, because He is a God who doesn't spare when humans sin.

Let's live our lives like Christians and not pagans. Let's live our lives like Jesus Christ.
Repent now and run to Jesus Christ.

Drop your sins on the cross now!

PRAYER

I have come Father, I have realized my mistakes, hence forgive me, in Jesus' Name!

TOPIC: DON'T ALLOW THEM TO USE YOU FOR EVIL

TEXT: JUDGES 16:5

MEDITATION

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Timothy 6:10).

Don't Allow Them To Use You For Evil Agenda

They promised to offer Delilah:

"...eleven hundred pieces of silver."

Bad people are always ready to pay any amount to have their dirty deals carried on. Those who are working for Satan can go any extent to succeed with their devilish acts. They can betray to succeed. They can pay money to succeed. They can blackmail to succeed. They can even kill to succeed.

Some Christians can blackmail their colleagues to become officers. They can betray innocent souls all in the name of church elections. Today, church elections have made some Christians demons. In fact, they have become Satan himself. Satan can use anyone who opens his gate widely for him. He is preparing people to Hell Fire, but many Christians are not aware of this.

We are fighting against what God is building, becoming anti-christ ourselves. An anti-christ is a person who fights against the course of Christ. So anyone can become an anti-christ. Anytime you begin to fight the will of God in someone's life or fight the course of God, you become an anti-christ.

Any misbehaviour contrary to that of God's principles, one becomes an anti-christ. Many Christians have already missed the mark, they have lost it long ago, and are heading to Hell Fire. Many Christians have been blinded by the god of this world. They don't know what they are doing. May God open the eyes of such Christians to realize their errors, in Jesus' Name!

Delilah cooperated with the lords of the Philistines when she heard money. The mere mentioned of money changed her love for Samson. The man she loved became her enemy at once. Money has changed many believers in the faith. The same money has changed the orientation of many people in the faith. They no longer have good sense of judgment. They can see the truth and have their own judgment, due to the influence of money. There is no more discipline in the church due to the influence of money.

People who have money in the church have the final say. Whatever they say the pastor has to concord. They control the board and the entire church. It is pity! If you don't have money, you cannot go near the leadership position. So you see armed robbers, prostitutes, thieves, corrupt people becoming board members in the church. Money has changed the church system. Paul had to warn Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:10:

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

Forget about money and allow God to take over. Delilah went for money and betrayed her beloved. Who are you betraying, blackmailing, destroying because of money? Don't join them to disobey God. Don't be a an instrument for destruction. Don't allow them to use you for their devilish activities.

PRAYER

Father, I have come, don't let money occupy my head to forget my calling, help me overcome any form of worldly pleasures, in Jesus Mighty Name!

TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 3:17

MEDITATION

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has anointed me to tell the good news to the poor. He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set oppressed people free." (Luke 4:18).

What Is Liberty?

To begin with, let us consider the terms. Let's examine the word "Liberty." In some Bible versions the word "Liberty" is used whilst others use 'Freedom." These two words are working for the same purpose.

Let's also get the Greek meaning of the word liberty.

The Greek word for "liberty" is "Eleutheria" which says:

1. Fancied liberty licence, the liberty to do as one pleases.

2. True liberty is living as we should not as we please.

"True liberty is living as we should not as we please."

Meaning you don't just live anyhow because you are at liberty to live such life but you live according to the standards of the Bible.

What Is Freedom?

1. In a civil sense, one who is not a slave.

2. One who ceases to be a slave, freed, manumitted free, exempt, unrestrained, not bound by an obligation.

3. In an ethical sense: free from the yoke of the Mosaic Law.

4. The condition of being free from control or restrictions.

5. The condition of being free from imprisonment, slavery or forced labour.

Meaning wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, one is free from:
Slavery (the Mosaic Law)
Restrictions
Imprisonment
Forced Labor
Limitations

When you are freed it affects all your faculties, your personality. Freedom is also contagious. It affects people around you positively. Some take their lessons from you and eventually become born again Christians.

Don't forget that it is an adjective, meaning it qualifies nouns. Freedom from...what follows will be nouns. Nouns Can be names of people, places, things, animals.
As a human you can be attacked or possessed by anything. Those things are nouns. So the "Freedom" which is an adjective qualifies those things (nouns).

For instance freedom from:
Sickness
Disease
Poverty
Hepatitis B
HIV/AIDS
Disappointments
Demons
Idols
Etc.

You need freedom and you need it now. When you are free, beloved, you are free indeed. You will never struggle. You will be free from humans calculations, their schemes.

Don't just experience the freedom alone but also impact lives. May you be free from evil, from everything the enemy plan against you, against your family and against everything around you.

LIBERTY MEANS FREEDOM, BE FREE NOW!

PRAYER

Father, I need total freedom, and I know that You alone can do that for me, henceforth I will have stress free life and everything that is around me, I am ready for it, in Jesus' Name!

TOPIC: IF YOU CANNOT ENCOURAGE HIM IN PAIN, DON'T WASTE HIS TIME

TEXT: JOB 5:1-7

MEDITATION

“I myself saw a fool becoming established, but I suddenly cursed where he lived." (Job 5:3).

Accuse Him of What He Has Done And Not Mere Hearsay

It's like Eliphaz planned to deal with Job right from his house. He planned to make Job's life measurable. They were the only people Job was expecting, in that, they would encourage and comfort him. Even Job's own wife abandoned him.

The people Job was expecting, one of them became a monster.

Read this statement by Eliphaz:

*"Cry out, won’t you! Is there anyone who will answer you? To whom will you turn among the holy ones?"*

Eliphaz assured Job that no matter his complains no one would hear or listen to him. In other words, if you want cry from morning to the evening, God would not mind you. He won't answer you, because you are a sinner and God doesn't hear sinners.

What was Eliphaz' problem? Just to frustrate Job. Just to make Job useless. Just to embarrass him.

Beloved, if you cannot encourage the person you visited, then take your leave. Stop frustrating others. Stop judging people wrongly. Stop giving people's heart attack. Stop killing people. Stop using your gift for destruction. Accuse him of what he has done and not mere hearsay.

Already they were jealous of Job's wealth. They were not happy of his riches. They were not comfortable with his success. So they were happy seeing Job losing everything.

Read this:

*"His children are far from deliverance; they’ll be maltreated before they leave home, with no one to rescue them."*

This confirms that Eliphaz was happy seeing Job crumbling. Sometimes people pretend but Eliphaz was clear on his stand. Eliphaz forgot to acknowledge the fact that words can influence, therefore can make or unmake someone.

Hence, my dear Christians, your accusations can influence, make or unmake someone, so be careful.

It appears Eliphaz was gifted for counselling. He was a good counsellor, and every counsellor is an encourager. But here, he refused to encourage Job. Every gifted person is to help humanity. If this is fallen short, then the wrong approach is evident.

Eliphaz planned to nail Job. It was a calculated plan. Beloved, are you a victim of this? If yes, then it is time to repent. Repent now before it's late.

PRAYER

I need a loving heart Lord, provide me with one, to love and care for others, in Jesus' Name!.

TOPIC: DO YOU HAVE A VISION?

TEXT: HABAKKUK 2:3

MEDITATION

"But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
"To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons." (Galatians 4:4,5).

Is Your Vision Ready?

"There is a season for everything...", says the preacher. (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Everyone has a season. And this season has been appointed by God.

What Is a Vision?

Vision is an ideal or a goal which one aspires.

It is good to have a vision, and the scripture says "the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

There are some inconveniences when it comes to vision.

For instance:

1. Vision Has An Appointed Time

The appointed time makes vision inconvenience. People want their visions come to pass very quick. When God says wait for the appointed time, they think it delays. Appointed time means there is a set time for the vision to come to pass. Which means you have to be alert. Don't allow any hindrances come your way. Your way of life can affect your vision negatively. Your attitude can be a hindrance to your vision. Do what you are expected to do and be within the range. Make sure you don't leave His presence.

I got my vision for becoming a preacher of the Gospel some years ago, when I was in the Primary school. I nearly dropped out of school because I thought the vision was there and then. I didn't know that the vision would take this long period. But I learnt a lot during the period.

Stop giving God your own time. God doesn't work with your time so stop wasting your time. God has an appointed time for your marriage. He has an appointed time for your business expansion. Your education has an appointed time, so stop wasting your time.

Somebody says, "if nothing happens this year I will quit." You are wasting your saliva. Statements like this don't move God, because if you cannot wait then you cannot serve.

God's appointed time is the best, let's work with it.

2. It Tarries

Vision don't just happen. It keeps long which many people are not comfortable with. Stay the corridors of power and wait for the vision. Those who want to marry think it's keeping long. They think age is not friendly. They end up falling on wrong arms as husbands or wives.

People who need to wait to become wealthy have to do it their own ways, either into blood money or becoming robbers or prostitutes.

People who need to wait for their ministries breakthroughs will do it their own way by involving juju men and using magic for impartation.
People can no longer wait for God's time.

Even though it was not easy, but I waited. I didn't want to deviate from His norms and precepts so I had to wait patiently.
Beloved, waiting will not kill you, rather, it will build you and make you more matured to fit in the job designed for you.

The vision will speak and not lie.
God's yes is yes and no, no. He can't lie and He can't change His mind. (Numbers 23:19). He is not a substandard God. He will speak at last. He did it before and continue doing it.

As you are reading this devotion, the I AM is speaking to you, He doesn't disappoint. Joseph dream became reality the same way it was revealed.

Be calm Christian. Wait patiently. 2025 will not escape you.
Your appointed time is now.

PRAYER

I am humbled Lord, knowing that You are working on my vision. Thank You for making it real this year, in Jesus' Name!

TOPIC: ACCEPT ALL THINGS IN PRAISE

TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 7:13-15

MEDITATION

"When times are good, be joyful; when times are bad, consider this: God made the one as well as the other, so people won’t seek anything outside of his best." (Ecclesiastes 7:14).


DON'T BE UNGRATEFUL

God can do anything no matter what it is. If your life has become a dustbin for damping of refuse, He can make it gold storage place. Nothing is beyond His comprehension. So what are you waiting for beloved? Do you want to waste your precious time on that unproductive behaviour? Do you want to die before you say "had I known?"

Many people are like Job's wife, who told her husband Job that:

"Do you remain firm in your integrity? Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9).

Many Christians think that it is a curse to go through pain because Jesus carried all our pains to the cross. I want you to name a single disciple of the early church who did not go through pain, just one. It is true that Jesus carried all our pains to the cross and in His stripes we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). But it is also true that Jesus said we should carry His cross and follow Him (Matthew 11:29).

Cross stands for pain, suffering, torture. Your own people can cause you pain. Your husband or wife, your father, mother, your guardian, your boss in the office. The one you love can cause you pain. No wonder Jesus said He didn't bring peace but troubles and pains (Matthew 10:16-23).

I see people leaving the church because of pain. Listen, you are not matured.
I see people running from church to church because of pain.

"When the times are good, be joyful; when times are bad, consider this..."

Be joyful when things are tough, and be joyful when things are bad. God knows both. Don't break up from the church because of challenges or because of pain. These are all seasons, so respect them. When it is time for sowing you don't sleep and say you don't like this season, you will die of hunger.

Both the righteous and wicked people die.
A righteous person can die at young age and the wicked one is still alive, become old and then die.
A righteous person can die of sickness and the wicked person escapes that same sickness.
A righteous person can die of an outbreak and the wicked person, narrowly escapes such.

There is something mystery about this but God controls all. He can stop a righteous person from dying yet He allows it.

He told apostle Paul, my grace is sufficient for you so carry the pain. It is not everyone the pain is being administered to, just some few people who He thinks can bear it. That is why He allows certain things to happen to some people, He knows their hearts.

He allowed what happened to Job to happen because of the kind of person Job was.

Don't ever compare yourself with a wicked person.
A wicked person is the one who rejects Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. God has given such people grace period to repent, so if you see someone continues in sin and still alive, don't envy the person, God knows what He is doing.

If you are reading this text I want you to know that it is time to accept Jesus Christ. Jesus' Second Coming has delayed because of you. He does not want to see your soul in the Hell Fire. So what are you waiting for? The time is now!

Respect the seasons, accept the pleasant happenings in your life, also accept unpleasant happenings in your life, they are not there to kill you but to strengthen you.

PRAYER

Even though, Lord, it is difficult passing through pain but for Your sake I have no option, I only ask for Your help, in Jesus' Name!
Amen!
