LIVING WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

‎DATE: FRIDAY 9TH, JANUARY 2026

‎TITLE: THE GOD OF TIME

‎SCRIPTURAL READING
‎And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding (Daniel 2:21).

‎The Vessel: Pastor Austine Onohwosa.

‎God is the God of time, but He does not work with the time of man.

‎He is a God of His timing for every man. That is why we will not get a thing base on our own timing.

‎That's why we experience delay in some of our expectations.

‎And when it is time for God to give us that thing, we might not even pray, and that thing will come.

‎Because God is a God of His own time.

‎When I got married, I and my wife concluded that till after six month we will start having children.

‎We say we want to enjoy ourselves for the next six months.

‎When we said it, God sanctioned it, and after six months, my wife got pregnant unknowing to us.

‎It was when she got pregnant that we counted, and we discovered that it was actually after the six months that we say, we want to enjoy ourselves.

‎Brethren God keeps to His timing.

‎And He will always do everything to bring His timing to pass. He said,

‎For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD (Isaiah 55:8).

‎Prayer Point:
‎Father every of my blessings that the devil has delayed, bless bring them to me today in Jesus name.

‎God's thought is not our thought, likewise His ways, our ways.

‎That is why His timing will always be different from our timing.

‎When Jacob got married to Rachel, by Rachel's calculation, she thought she will begin to have children;

‎but that calculation does not go in line with God's calculation, because the Bible says,

‎And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren (Genesis 29:31).

‎Remember it was not Rachel that made herself barren.

‎But when the time came for God to open the barren womb, the Bible says,

‎And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb (Genesis 30:22).

‎The God of time remembered her, and her womb was opened, and she conceived, and she bear a child.

‎God did that according to His timing, and not according to how Rachel want it.

‎That is what makes Him the God of time.

‎Whatever God does is according to His timing for man.

‎He told Abram,

‎And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years (Genesis 15:13).

‎Prayer Point;
‎Father please remember me today, and release every of my blessing hanging somewhere in Jesus name.

‎For God to bring His time to pass in your life, you must know the plan of God for your life.

‎And you must make sure that you are doing the right thing at the right time.

‎You must be at the right place at the right time, and be prepared for His timing for you.

‎The Israelites knows the timing of God for them, when they were in Egypt.

‎But they were not prepared for it.

‎It was when God raised a new king that knew not Joseph, and the king began to deal with them that they realized the plan of God for them.

‎You must know the plan of God for you, because that is what will hasten His timing for us.

‎Prayer Point:
‎Father please help me to know Your plan for me, and give me understanding of Your timing for me.

‎WORDS TO MEDITATE ON.
‎The timing of God will not come to pass if we don't know the plan of God for us; because His timing goes with His plan.

LIVING WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

‎DATE: THURSDAY 11TH, DECEMBER 2025.

‎TITLE: WHEN THE GOING GET TOUGH

‎SCRIPTURAL READING
‎Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2).

‎The Vessel: Pastor Austine Onohwosa.

‎Friends, when the going gets tough the only place we should look is up.

‎Because that is the only place we can draw strength from.

‎Every life journey always start smoothly, that we will assume that is how the journey will be all through.

‎The truth is, as we begin to make progress, as the going begin to get tough, we will begin to see things that we never expected.

‎We will begin to see things that we never bargain.

‎And that is where some people turn back, because they feel they don't have what it takes to go through that path.

‎When the Israelites where coming out of Egypt, they got to a point where they told Moses.

‎And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? (Exodus 14:11).

‎Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness (Exodus 14:12).

‎Prayer Point:
‎Father please when the going gets tough, let me always draw strength from You in Jesus name.

‎Weather you like it or not, any journey you thread on, it must get to a point where the going will get tough.

‎Nobody can change it, and nobody can stop it.

‎When Pharaoh allow the Israelites to go, they were celebrating even as they were leaving.

‎But when the going gets tough, their language changed.

‎When David played the harp to cure Saul of his madness, David find favour in his sight (1Samuel 16:15-23).

‎And as if that was not enough, when he killed Goliath, every promises that the king promised him was not giving to him.

‎And that made him left his father's house to the palace.

‎But when the going gets tough, David realized that he can only look up to God, and not to man.

‎Because it is only God Who can solve all life problems.

‎David from his experience says,

‎I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2).

‎When the going gets tough, if care is not taking, you will even run to your enemies for help.

‎I pray for you, that will not be your portion in Jesus name.

‎Prayer Point:
‎Father please when the going get tough let me not run to my enemies for help in Jesus name.

‎When the going gets tough, Lot wife looked back, and she turned into pillar of salt.

‎Just to let us know that, when the going get tough, looking back is not an option.

‎In fact, looking side ways is not an option, because from side ways, we can look back.

‎The best place to look is unto Jesus, because He is the author and the finisher of our faith.

‎And when we look unto him, there is hope that He will see us through.

‎But you cannot look unto Him in sin.

‎If you are living in sin, you need to repent now, forsake your sin.

‎If you have not given your life to Jesus you cannot look up to Him, because He will not see you.

‎Prayer Point:
‎Father please in my present state and situation please show up and move me forward in Jesus name.

‎WORDS TO MEDITATE ON.
‎When the going get tough, is not tough to God; because God is the answer to all tough going.
