🛑MARRIAGE ISN’T A MISSIONARY WORK
It’s a myth to think that your marriage will change him or her to become better.
Marriage is not a cure for immorality, irresponsibility, abuse, and such. Marriage is not a missionary work. Marriage does not change or transform the sinful human nature that is in us. Marriage cannot make you a new creature, it is only when you are in Christ (2 Cor.
5:17)
It’s a myth to think that you are waiting to marry the right and perfect person. Outward qualities can be misleading. Marriage is a combination of both inward and outward qualities.
Marriage is not about looking for the best, right, or perfect person; rather it is about trying to be one. You have to become the type of person
you want to attract.
You can only attract the person who is like you.
It’s a myth to think assume that having an offspring together is an automatic license to getting married to one another.
Marriage does not correct or atone for your compromised, conformed, and dysfunctional sinful life. Having a child with someone is never an
indication that such person is God’s will for you.
Having children while you are single is not a disease or hindrance to marrying the will of God for your life. It’s a myth to think you want to have s*x with him/her so that you will not lose him/ her. What an excuse for sin!
S*x before marriage is premarital unfaithfulness; is a sin. If you are not faithful to God before marriage, how can you be faithful after marriage?
Build your marriage on the foundation of holiness and not on sinfulness.
From the study of the Word of God, one can say that marriage is a mystery. It is not a social construct or contract, but rather a sacred trust and a covenant.
Therefore, it takes the revelation of the Word of God rather than information from human reasoning to uncover as well as discover the mystery of marriage.
