MANIFESTATIONS OF NEW THINGS
Texts:
Isaiah 43:18-19.
"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." (KJV Bible)
Forget about what's happened; don't keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new. It's bursting out! Don't you see it? There it is! I'm making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands." (The Message Bible)
Philippians 3: 12-14
"Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Exodus 14: 13-15
"And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:"
KEYS TO THE MANIFESTATION OF NEW THINGS
For new things to manifest in our lives, we must keep the following things in mind:
1. FORGET THE PAST, MOVE INTO THE FUTURE
One key factor that would cause a release of new things in our lives is the ability to forget the past and move forward into the future. Until you let go of yesterday, you can not enjoy the new things of today!
As long as we keep thinking of the old things that happened to us and keep replaying them, we will not see when new things come, even when God has prepared them for us.
Your mistakes, your successes, the things done to you, the things you did or didn't do, whatever it may be, it has passed! You have to let go of all these things so that you can access the new things that God wants to do in your life.
Some of us are stuck in our past because of our past mistakes and sins; all you need to do is repent, ask God for forgiveness , and forgive yourself. After you have done all these, move on, let go of every guilt and self-inflicted pain, and move forward. There is more ahead of you than the past behind you. God is ready to do a BRAND NEW thing in your life! Something new will not start until you forget the old!
You simply have to forget the past! The Bible says that you can not put new wine into old wineskins. The old wineskin will burst and waste the new wine, and God does not waste His blessings.
Some of us have "laminated" our hurts and pains and kept them in permanent condition in our hearts so that we can keep remembering them afresh as if they happened yesterday. Because of this, our hearts are not open to the new possibilities that God is able and willing to make available.
2. BREAK THE YOKE OF UNFORGIVENESS
Unforgiveness is another major weapon the devil uses to hold people down. When you allow unforgiveness to rule your heart, you may think you are getting back at the other person, but you are really just holding yourself down and staying trapped in the past. You have not moved beyond that point in time in your emotions regarding that area of your life. You are essentially trapped! Unforgiveness is as if we are carrying something rotten - something dead - in our pockets or on our bodies. Something smelly that can cause us diseases and sickness.
Jesus even said that if we do not forgive, our Heavenly Father will not forgive us. (Matthew 6:15) Today is another opportunity to forgive all the people who have hurt you in the past and move forward with your life.
In this season, God is not only ready to do something NEW, but much more He wants to do the IMPOSSIBLE! He will create something new in your life that has never existed before in an environment where it is not naturally supposed to exist, that you may know and declare that Jesus is Lord. Glory to God!
What is impossible for man is possible for God, but first we must let go of whatever we are holding onto from the past and allow God to release us into the new things He has prepared for us.
3. BE CONSCIOUS THAT YOU ARE A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST JESUS
You are now a new creation. Old things have passed away. Thepastt is gone foreve. A new day is here! Glory to God. It is a new season indeed!!
2 Corinthians 5:17.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
You can not be going forward and constantly looking backwards, especially if you want to move forward with speed. It is not possible; you will crash! You have to let go of the past, release everyone that has hurt you, and let your heart be open and free of every encumbrance, and chains, so that you can freely embrace the newness of God!
4. PRESS INTO THE FUTURE
Philippians 3: 12-14

You must press forward into the future: Don't allow the past to hold you down. Apostle Paul said one thing he does constantly is to forget the past and press into the greater things ahead. This is a major characteristic of every great achiever. They know how to let go of the past and move forward into their future. The success, the failures, the achievements, the pains, the hurts, the experiences of yesterday are now in the past, let them go and press forward into something new. God has great things ahead of you. Don't allow the past to hold you down.
You must also not allow a present obstacle to hold you down. You must keep your eyes on the goal. The Israelites found themselves in a difficult situation with the Army of Egypt behind them and the Red Sea before them, but despite these obstacles, the Lord told them to "go forward!". It is time to go forward even when you are faced with the most difficult challenges.
We serve a mighty God who specialises in doing great wonders. If you refuse to give up even in that difficult situation, God would perform a miracle in your life. The Israelites passed through the Red Sea on dry land.
As you go through this phase of your life, no matter how difficult your situation may be, remember that we serve a living God who does great wonders. The Lord would make a way for us even in this difficult situation in Jesus' name. He would ensure that this period works for our good in Jesus' name. Amen.
4. MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO RISE AGAIN AFTER EVERY FALL
Have you failed before? Have you experienced failure in your academics before? Have you failed in your relationship and marriage before? Have you failed before in your career and business? Have you failed before in ministry and in your walk with God? Have you been told that nothing good can come from your life? Have you given up on God? Have you given up on life in general? Are you tired and exhausted physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually?
I challenge you to lift up your head and rise again! I challenge you to try just one more time, I challenge you not to give up! I challenge you not to despair! If you give up today, you will never experience all the great things ahead of you. The devil wants you down, but God wants you to rise up. It is time to wake up from your slumber and press forward into that great future that God has prepared for you!!
In the Bible, Ruth lost her husband while she was still a young woman, but she never gave up. Instead, she tried again and eventually found her way into the genealogy of Christ! How many times have you fallen? No matter how many times you have fallen, no matter how many times you have failed, no matter how terrible your past experience was, you can decide to rise again today. You can decide to start again. You can decide to forget the past and press on to your future. God is waiting for you to RISE AGAIN AND SUCCEED!!!!
Proverbs 24: 16
"For a righteous man may fall seven times. And rise again,
But the wicked shall fall by calamity."
5. START AFRESH: BE READY TO START ALL OVER AGAIN IF NECESSARY
Jeremiah 18:1-4
We are like clay in the hands of our master. We must be malleable in His hands. Sometimes, God is interested in reforming the clay into a new type of pot. He is working on us, reshaping the pot into a totally brand new pot..
You need to let go of things that are simply not working and not be afraid of starting again. Many of us are holding on to things that are dead just because we are afraid of people calling us failures. Deep down in your heart, you know that the relationship is dead, but you are forcing yourself to stay in it to impress your friends. Deep down in your heart, you know that that business is not working for you, but instead of trying new things, you are holding on to the past.
It is time to reexamine the things in your life at this moment. Are there things that are simply dead? Are there things that have finished their functions in your life? Is there a need for you to end that abusive relationship? Is there a need to end that business that is draining all your strength yet not giving you any result whatsoever?
It is time to make critical decisions with the help of the Holy Spirit. You don't need to be afraid of what anyone would say. It is your life, and you are responsible for your future and happiness. If you need to simply walk away from those things that are no longer working in your life, don't hesitate, don't be afraid, there is indeed a GREATER FUTURE AHEAD OF YOU.
After meeting Jesus, Peter left his fishing business to follow Jesus. If Peter did not make that decision that day, we would never have heard his name today!! What decision do you have to make? Do it now! Don't hesitate!
FORGET THE PAST, MOVE FORWARD INTO NEW THINGS!! IT IS THE BEGINNING OF A BRAND NEW SEASON FOR YOU IN JESUS NAME!! Amen
PRAYER SESSION
1. It is time to forgive all the people who have hurt you in the past. Release them from your heart. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive all these people and heal you of all emotional pains.
2. As for the Grace to forget the past and press forward into the future.
3. Decree a supernatural release of new things into your life.
4. Ask God to do the impossible in your life, and ask the Lord to do unusual miracles in your life.
5. Speak to every mountain standing before you to give way, ask the Lord to make a way for you in the middle of every challenging situation in your life.
6. Ask Grace to make critical decisions in your life that would lead you into your future accomplishments.
