Dear Apostle Joshua Selman,
I write this open letter with deep gratitude for the grace of God upon your life. You have truly made yourself available for God’s use, and through you, countless lives across the world have been transformed. May God continue to protect you, strengthen you, and keep you in His perfect will, in Jesus’ name. (Amen)
Sir, you have come very far and your ministry now has global reach, there is a burden that has remained in my heart for a long time.
There is a particular group of people who, I believe, urgently need to hear the message you carry especially in times like this.
I humbly appeal to you, sir, to consider preaching in the Hausa language, so that the gospel of salvation can reach the unreached, especially our parents who are uneducated and do not speak English, the boys on the streets scavaging, the people working in farms, and many people in Northern Nigeria who may not fully understand English.
I strongly believe that the gospel has the power to heal hearts, change minds, and reduce insecurity and social vices in our land. Imagine a band!t, a tr0ubled youth, or a desperate soul hearing the message of salvation in a language they understand.
This burden has been in my spirit for a while and I’ve struggled within myself before writing this, but the more I remained silent, the more I felt uneasy. I believe I had to obey this inner prompting.
Sir, the North needs to hear God through you now more than ever. The North needs salvation in Hausa.
Sir, na sani kana iya fasara maganar Allah a Hausance kuma zai kai ko ina a Arewa. Na bada Gaskiya, ceto zai zo Arewa ta wurin ka da taimakon Ubangiji.
With deep respect and love,
Ikko Jeremiah
