Popular teacher of the Word and founder of Peace House in Gboko, Benue State, Nigeria, Bro. Gbile Akanni has revealed that he first embraced Islam before giving his life to Christ in 1970.

He made the revelation on an online platform called Pilgrims Spot, monitored by Church Times.

Akanni, who has often spoken about his idolatrous background, said his initial attraction to Islam was because some of his uncles were Muslims. He added that nobody went to church in his family during his growing-up years.

In his words:

“I gave my life to Christ about 56 years ago. I came from a very occult background. My father was an herbalist. I was the first to encounter Christ in the family in a very serious manner. Because of that, I had to go through serious persecution. But before then, I had embraced Islam because some of my uncles were Muslims. My father never went to church. Nobody went to church in our house.” Read more follow the link

Adeboye to Tinubu: Plead with Trump, fire security chiefs after 90 days if they fail to end terror.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has advised President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as his in-law, to act fast to stem the tide of killings in the country.

Pastor Adeboye gave the advice while having what he called a meeting with his “children” after the monthly holy ghost night of the church in the early hours of Saturday, November 7.

During the meeting, which was monitored by Church Times Nigeria, Adeboye gave a historical account of his involvement in protests in the country. The founder of the group, Archbishop Dr. Olufunmilayo Olufemi took time to charge the women while encouraging them not to give up on their faith in God.

She shared testimony of how doctors said she was incapable of having children but God intervened in her life and turned her misery to a miracle.

In the about one hour message to the women, she gave a graphic account of her travails and the child birth miracle.

She said eight months into her marriage when she was not getting pregnant she began a series of medical examinations.

The test result showed that she had a first-degree infertility because she was not ovulating. “We repeated the test and the result was the same. I was told I had no chance of having a child. The doctors advised that I should start planning how to adopt children.

“The news was devastating. I called my father who is now late and he assured me that God will do a miracle.” Follow the link for more:

Years ago, a journalist approached Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, DCLM, eager to know what he hid under his miracle-laden prayers that always landed, bereft of boisterous baggage.

The newsman wondered: ‘’What I find amazing … is that some other pastors would lay their hands on people and shake them till they fall down and roll about. But you don’t do that. You just stand at the podium and pray a simple prayer, a normal prayer, no theatrics, and people get healed.’’

The respected founder of Deeper Life Bible Church, DLBC, told his interviewer: ‘’There are no theatrics in our church, because, from my background, I don’t like anything that is turned into a show or drama. Some pastors like the drama rather than the results. I want the results rather than the drama. Read more follow the link

Esohe Sarah Osagiede is not just a kidney patient. She is a warrior who has gone through many phases of battle.

Her right kidney failed at about the age of 9. The left kidney failed when she was about 25..She got a transplant that failed, too. Yet, she has been a source of joy and comfort to many kidney patients through her foundation.

She also lost two relationships that were to lead to marriage in the course of all these battles.

Now in her 30s, Esohe shared her story in an online video chat with Odogwuwigi, a social media influencer..The interview was monitored by Church Times.

Genesis of the crisis
Born to a family of five children, Esohe’s problem started when she was nine. She had a bloated body. Her mother took her to the hospital. And then came the verdict that her right kidney was faulty.

Her mother, a strong woman of faith, took her to the church straight from the hospital for prayers. They were in church for three days, praying and trusting God for healing. Miraculously on the third day, her swollen body dried up.

Unknown to her, the right kidney that was malfunctioning had packed up. She was left with one kidney. She lived with that one for 15 years before it also stopped working. The implication was that she would live on dialysis or get a transplant..

Within the 15 years that she lived with one kidney, she went through unbearable health conditions. Despite maintaining high hygiene, she suffered from toilet diseases that made her consume a lot of antibiotics.

First proposal
It was at the end of those 15 years of living with one kidney that she met a young man from the US who wanted to marry her. The relationship was going well, and it was leading to marriage, or so she thought. The two of them had fixed December 12 2012, for their marriage.

But six months before the marriage, she had a medical crisis and was rushed to the hospital. That was when she got to know the only kidney functioning in her body had failed.

The news got to her fiancé in the US. Rather than show some sympathy, he called off the wedding on the phone in “his American accent” according to Esohe.

Incidentally, she was was on the sick bed taking the second pint of blood when the man called to call off the wedding. Continue reading, follow the link

A bishop is known to boast of divine protection yet he goes about with body guards. It is a contradiction. Another General Overseer preaches about miracles and healing yet he went abroad for a medical operation and – as God would have it – a member of the medical team was a deaconess in his church. That lady was so shocked and felt betrayed that the man who speak so much about miracles and God’s healing is using the best of medical services to take care of himself.

The lady resigned and left the church denomination. I will protect her name. It is a Pentecostal church, and Osinbajo is close to the person I refer to, whom I won’t name.

Another Pentecostal bishop went to America for medical treatment and came home preaching the next Sunday; he had never been to a hospital in his lifetime. The doctor who treated him was a member of the church and also heard that egregious lie. He, too, left the church with sorrow.
