God's goodness is constant and unchanging. I remain cognizant of this vital truth despite all odds(you have no idea), and will continue to do so. What about you dear child of God????

Rest and Wait Patiently

August 20, 2025

Psalms 37:7(KJB1611) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

This admonition re-echoes the all-important truth that every believer needs to hold on to. We are in a time in world history where everything happening around us is grossly negative. As believers, we have hope beyond this life. Titus 3:7 "That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
We should not fret ourselves because evil people are prospering around us, and it seems as if things are not going well with us. Psalms 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

We are encouraged to wait patiently for the Lord. We should never go ahead of God. No matter how hard things are, we are to trust and rest on our all-knowing, all-powerful sovereign God who cares for us with a passion. Psalms 37:5 "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." In this fast-paced world, waiting on the Lord is not popular, but it is needful.
Psalms 27:14 "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."

Thought

May we be persuaded that it is expedient to rest, and wait patiently on the Lord rather than jumping ahead of God.
