I AM THE LORD

July 30 2026

Isaiah 45:18(KJB1611) For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

This awesome reminder that there is none else like the LORD re-echoes the beautiful truth that we have and serve the ONE true God; The all existing God that is so full of mind blowing attributes. We as believers have the privilege to relate and identify with God through these attributes. Our text today sums up these attributes in one statement : I AM THE LORD; and there is none else. This is a reality that should soothe the aching hearts of professing believers. 1 Samuel 2:2 "There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God." None can compare to our GOD

The declaration of the LORD in this wise should put our anxieties and fears to rest. Many are living this life in perplexities and hopelessness. The child of God should be exempted from this category, but the sad story is that this is not totally true; for many a child of God are willingly living in despondency primarily because they refuse to see God for who He truly is. Deuteronomy 10:17" For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:.."

Thought

May we never lose sight of the all important fact that we belong to a God that is like no other. He is the LORD, SOVERIGN and KING. There is none like unto Him.

Negative Attitude

July 22, 2026

Numbers 14:1-4 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

This familiar narrative vividly illustrates the devastating consequences of a negative attitude. The preceding passages in chapter 13 recount how the 10 spies brought a negative report concerning the search for the land of Canaan. They discouraged the entire congregation with their negativity, prompting them to weep and murmur against Moses and Aaron. Despite God's promise, they refused to believe that He could give them the land of Canaan. Their actions led Israel to complain and rebel against God, as recorded in Deuteronomy 1:26-28. Ultimately, this resulted in many dying in the wilderness, as seen in Numbers 14:26-38. When we allow negative attitudes to prevail in our lives, we risk stopping believing in God and ourselves. Furthermore, it discourages those around us and hinders our ability to fulfill God's purposes. Joshua and Caleb stood out as exceptions, unwavering in their faith amidst the negativity. Numbers 14:6-9 Despite being in the minority, they stood firm, trusting God to grant them victory. When we harbor negative attitudes, we fall short of becoming all that God intends for us to be.

Thought

May we continue to trust in God and rely on His divine ability. As Genesis 18:14 reminds us, nothing is beyond Him. With Him, nothing is impossible, as stated in Luke 1:37.

Gratitude is not intended to be optional for believers. We are instructed to express thankfulness in all circumstances and for all things. 1Thessalonians 5:18. God's goodness is constant and unchanging. I remain cognizant of this vital truth despite all odds(you have no idea), and will continue to do so. What about you dear child of God????
