๐Ashes Turned Into Beauty.
"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."
~ {Isaiah 61:3} KJV
Have we ever created something or found ourself in a situation that we just didnโt like and we just wanted to desperately discard/delete it in the garbage bin of life?
So it is with our imperfection and mistakes which are just like flawed art making, but are actually an important part in the artmaking process.
In truth, the mistakes are to lead us unto Christ redemptive plan that give us clues about what works and doesn't, letting us learn, and keep moving. ~ {Proverbs 24:15-16}
But all those mistakes make the artwork real. The mistakes show the human side. And if we pay attention, the mistakes will lead us down a path we would not have otherwise taken nor discovered on our own.
So it is with the redemptive work of God's saving grace and mercy in and through us.
In saying God is merciful, it means He goes into the stained areas of our life, to produce something beautiful.
To the extent that folks who had stigmatized us based on the stain now see a wonder and object of envy.
The imperfect artwork that was deemed unfit, now placed on divine canvas {Resurrection Life}; of Christ's skillful, competent and transformative brush strokes, paint us into what will be described as a masterpiece: 'portraits of God's Faithfulness'.
It is at this point the Resurrection Power of God intervenes and bring about a renewal of a once corruptible situation into incorruption.
This is the story of God's redemptive painting and gracious work of divine mercy on our infirmities, imperfections and mistakes as mere mortals.
God honors the man who wholeheartedly yields to the saving grace of Christ irrespective of the visible contradictory reality and signs of discouragement we may face to ultimately bestow us with beauty for ashes.
