This month of May is our month of Justification.
Book of Psalms 130 is a Psalm of Ascent. It was sung while the people were still in captivity.
Book of Psalms 130:3
1. No One Is Without Sin
There is no one born of a woman who is without sin because we were born into a fallen world.
No matter how famous, popular, or powerful a person may be, no one can truly say that he or she has never sinned.
Epistle to the Romans 5:12
Through one man, sin entered into the world, and since the time of Adam, sin has remained in the world.
There is nobody who can stand before the Lord and say that they have never sinned.
2. God Has the Prerogative to Forgive Sin
There is forgiveness with God. He alone has the power to free a person from sin.
First Epistle of John 3:8
Sin is the violation of Godโs laws and commands.
God alone has the authority and power to forgive sins.
3. The Powerlessness of Sin in the Presence of God
Sin has no power over God. In His presence, sin becomes powerless.
Sin is one of the greatest weapons used to destroy mankind.
Book of Isaiah 1:18
All these are not a license to continue in sin, but to show that Jesus has power over sin.
God never wanted anyone to avoid Him. He does not want anyone to give excuses, condemn themselves, or stop fellowshipping with Him because they have offended Him.

1. God Forgives and Forgets
When God forgives, He forgets. But when people forgive, they often do not forget.
When you offend people, they may continue to remind you of your past mistakes, but God does not remind you.
That is because God is not man, and man is not God.
Jesus taught that once you forgive someone, you should let it go and not keep bringing it up again.
2. God Forgives and Heals
When God forgives, He heals. But when some people forgive, instead of healing, they continue to hurt others.
Note: There is no justification without sin.
3. God Forgives and Sets Free
When God forgives, He sets a person free because sin brings bo***ge.
However, when some people forgive, they still hold the offense against the person.
Why You Are a Sinner
You are a sinner because:
You possess a sinful nature.
You commit sinful acts.

The words justice and judgment are powerful both physically and spiritually.
Justice or judgment is not just a word; it is a system, and it has two sides:
It can work for you.
It can work against you.
If we were to go strictly by the system or law of justice, none of us would qualify to be free because the law was not designed to make people righteous but to reveal guilt.
If the law of the government does not condemn you, the law of your family may.
There is no law that can truly set a person free because where there is no law, there is no transgression.
Acts of the Apostles 23:35

Justification is Godโs legal right to declare a sinner righteous.

By the authority of Jesus, in this month of May, you are justified.
By the authority of Jesus, wherever people have judged or condemned you, righteousness will set you free.
By the authority of Jesus, whoever claims to have forgiven you but is still holding back your progress, God will render them powerless and ineffective.
By the authority of Jesus, every system of judgment working against you is annulled.
By the authority of Jesus, you are redeemed and restored.
By the authority of Jesus, live and walk like a justified person.
By the authority of Jesus, every power planning to make you guilty concerning your life, God will make them bow and surrender.
