Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Stars. They've always been a source of constant hope for God's people. "Your descendants will be like the stars," God told Abraham. "When I see the stars, what is man that you are mindful of him?" the Psalms ask. The Wisemen from the East followed a star to Jesus. Luke reminds us that Jesus was a star of morning light come to us from heaven to shine on those in darkness. And now, we're stars. God's points of light in the dark sky of the universe. So let's make today a day where our light shines God's glory to a dark world around us.

My Prayer...
Almighty God, the incredible expanse of your universe, with its billions of stars, exceeds my limited comprehension. But I thank you for calling me to be a place of light in the dark world around me and I pledge to shine your light today in the lives of all those I might. Through the name of the Bright and Morning Star I pray. Amen.

PRAY FOR SOMEONE TODAY….. (PART 2)
(Proverbs 15:29 KJV, James 5:15 – 16 ESV)

From the last part we discussed about Peter and James….. How James was killed and Peter was miraculously saved….

PLEASE CHECK THE PAGE FOR EXTRACT FROM PART 1....

But today we will be looking at how prayer helps in our daily life.

Proverbs 15:29 (KJV) says The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

James 5:15 – 16 (ESV)
Verse 15 says the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

But VERSE 16 is telling us to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Let me just explain little on this verse (James 5:16), for you to pray a prayer of faith, your mind must be free, not holding grudges against your fellow man.

You don’t know who might need your prayers today, FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES, NEIGHBOURS ETC.
Even People we come across on the road to our Office, Market Place… they all need our prayers.

This festive season let’s take out time to pray for someone…As we do this may the Almighty God help us, His mercy will round us up as the year ends and Christ being the head of the church will surely guide and protect us and our families throughout the remaining parts of 2017.
