Topic: The Man That Will Enter The Promised Land
Text: Numbers 14:22-24

Moses selected 12; 1 out of each tribe; 10 defaulted but 2 stood which were Joshua and Caleb.
Caleb had another spirit with him, he hath followed God earnestly and God approved of him to the people; his seed will/shall possess the land.

"The higher the task, the higher the trials".

3 Qualities That We Take Me To The Promised Land

CALEB, MY SERVANT
1. Be a servant of God: These are those who worship Him and carry out His will without considering their lives. Paul said He lost Himself, He did not count himself worthy just for the sake of the Gospel. A servant of God is he that trusts the Lord with all his heart and leans not until his own understanding. It is he that acknowledged the Lord in all his ways. Caleb was not looking at the situation, he was looking at the solution. A servant of God does not doubt God's presence in every situation. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were servants of God; King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged them as servants of God because they were worshippers of God and were not ready to please their flesh.

2. Possessing A Different Spirit: When people are shouting there is a casting down, you will be saying there is a lifting up. Caleb had a different spirit in Him and God acknowledged him. Numbers 13:26-30).

3. He followed God fully (Numbers 14:6-9).

Topic: Discovering Perfect Peace
Text: Isaiah 26:3-4
Something we call peace but not actual peace. Some part in our life we think we are experiencing peace but not at all. Perfect Peace is when you are walking in the fire, water, through the desert, when storms arising from right, left, up and down, when trials, temptations, challenges are increasing, after all these, you are not shaken.
If you don't discover it, you will not recover. Worries, anxieties that surround us, we are longing for a deep sense of calmness due to lack of perfect peace. Our text stands as a guiding light to our life path. It is one person who can give us this perfect peace which is God.
In the Hebrew word Peace means Shalom-encompasses more the absence of conflict and turmoil. It is a state of wholeness, well being and harmony in every aspect of life. Peace with God, peace within oneself, peace in society, peace in relationship and peace in all round about you. Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God , which passed all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulations but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. He said you should put your trust in Him so you could have a Perfect Peace. Peter saw Jesus walking in the sea and asked Jesus if he could come and Jesus responded to him to come but Peter got distracted and began to sink. Peter cried for help and Jesus helped him. Right now your challenges and problems have made you worried, Jesus is telling you to stretch forth your hands to Him for help because He is ready to help you.
Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Jesus said do not think of what you eat or wear but seek ye first the kingdom of God and everything

Topic: IDIMU
Text: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

IDIMU is a community we are dwelling in. Every name has its symbolic effect.

What is IDIMU? IDIMU is a Yoruba language translated into English "CLUTCH". CLUTCH is defined as to grab something tightly , to hold something tightly in other words a strong hold. Clinge, sn**ch out , catch out, claw out, seize, lay one hand on.

IDIMU is to activate people, hold people down, and grab someone / something tightly. When you enter a city or town and you did not take authority over the powers in charge.

Functions of Negative StrongHold
What is a strong hold?
1. A place deliberately raised for the purpose of hindering the progress of someone or people (Joshua 6:1)
2. It is a place of domination by a particular group of people that put others down (Daniel 6:3-7)
3. It is a dominion by an idea or habit that holds you down (John 12:4-6)
4. It is also dominant by negative situations like sickness that keep you in one place or stagnant.

A leader leads people despite the untruthful people....

1. They hinder progress
2. They hinder ability

Strongholds are negative and positive. A positive stronghold is a fortress or place of defence or protection. It is a place of refuge or revival (Psalm 9:9-10).
Jeremiah 51:53 writes Though Babylon should mount up to Heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the Lord.

Topic: Pleasing God
Text: 1 Thessalonians 4:1-5

Pleasing is satisfying, appealling, agreeable, gratifying. Pleasing God always means obeying and yielding to His command at all times irrespective of what it will cause you . Pleasing God is denying self in order to do His will. It is carrying your cross always and following Him wherever he is. Pleasing God is not having excuses.

When you determine to please God, you must take a stand and undergo the ridicule, discomfort, shame, disgrace.
Paul said flee of anything that will lure and cut short of the Glory of God from your life. He is pleased when we keep to his instructions. It is his will to avoid sexual immorality. The Bible said we should live in order to please God. The devil is interested in our falling.

Ways In The Bible To Please God
1. Having faith in God (Hebrew 11:6). It is impossible to please God when you don't have faith.
2. Being spiritually minded (Romans 8:6-8). Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. When you are spiritually minded, the spirit leads or directs you on what God like.
3. To fear God (Psalm 147:11). It will make you abstain from sin. It will make you to do things that will make God happy.
4. To study and follow Jesus Christ examples (Matthew 17:5). If you want to please God, follow Jesus as your model, idol. When you are pleasing God, He will always be with you (John 8:29).
5. We should obey God (1 Samuel 15:22). Even when you are facing difficulties, obedience to God please Him.
6. Doing God's Will please Him a lot (Hebrew 13:21). God's Will is His Desire, Command. Studying, meditating, and praying on the Word of God gives us deeper understanding on God's Will for our lives.
7. Give the sacrifice God wants (Hebrew 13:15-16, 2 Corinthians 12:14)

Topic: Patience Unto Trials
Text: James 1:2-4

An impatient man is a God to himself because he takes decision by himself without waiting for the Will of God. There is only one way which is Jesus so if you discover you are going out of your way, it means you are Demi-god.

People In The Bible That Were Impatient To Trials
1. Saul was impatient
2. Gehazi was impatient

Impatient has hindered us to our thrones. The perfect example of patient in trials were Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. When a trial wants to come, it comes with consequences and an option. That option is called Temptation.

Trials are for God while Temptation is from the Devil. God tries you to see your faith. Job also was patient in trials though his family and friends rejected him, he was hopeful to God for a positive change. Daniel also was patient in trials, when the people were jealous of him because of the excellent spirit in Daniel. Rules were made to stop him from praying to his God but he was patient and overcame.

Problems don't kill but impatient kills. Trials are test from God and he uses them for our benefits. Temptation on the other hand comes from the flesh or the devil (James 1:13-14). Romans 12:12 - Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and perseverance in prayers. Sometimes trials work out for our good
