DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH WORLDWIDE
TUESDAY'S LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT 14/04/2026.

MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.

WRITTEN BY OMOBOSEDE SHARON.

TOPIC : LIVING TO LABOUR ONLY FOR GOD'S GLORY.

TEXTS : 1 PETER 2:11-12; ROMANS 15:5-6, 1 CORINTHIANS 6:20,10:31, 2 CORINTHIANS 5:14, 2 THESSALONIANS 1:1-12, 1 PETER 4:11, PHILIPPIANS 1:9-11.

As we look at those scriptural verses, we are reminded as members of the body of Christ, and as ministers in the church of the living God, that our lives, our conduct, our ministry and our conversation must only and always be for God's glory, that whatever you do, whatever you say, whatever you preach, wherever you go, whatever decision you make, and everything is to always be and only and ever for the glory of God. Our lives should do nothing for self, our lives should not be for self-upliftment, they should not aid and promote self, they should not be for self-exaltation. In everything we do, we will do nothing for the flesh. We should do nothing for the enemies of souls. We should do nothing for Satan. Satan is not only your enemy, he's the enemy of the souls of sinners and he does not want the sinners to be saved, and he does not want backsliders to be restored, and he does not want you to get to Heaven. That's why you want to make sure that you're not doing anything that will help the devil in his hindering the people of God from getting to heaven, that you will not lift up the works of Satan because Satan works to drive people to hell fire. We do nothing to help, or to aid, or to promote the enemies of souls, we do nothing to aid the Antichrist. The word of God said it very clearly that there's Antichrist in the world, there are many Antichrists in our society today, they carry Bible, they read the Bible, they say they are preaching the Bible, and they call their assemblies by Christian names, but when you get inside their church, they preach for the Antichrist, they preach something that contradicts the scriptures, and they are working for Antichrist. And as a believer, you will not do anything to aid or to help the Antichrist. We are also told in the scriptures that there is going to be a falling away in the last days, and it's happening today. People are falling away from the true word of God because they have itching ears, and they don't want to hear the perfect truth of God's word that will lead people to life eternal. That's why you will not do anything in your personal life, in your ministry, in your family that will promote the falling away in the last days. Anything you do will be for the glory of God. You're alive, so you can work to promote the glory of God. You're alive, so you can minister and do something to help in the promotion and the propagation of the Gospel. You're living to labour for God's glory. That's the purpose for which we are living and ministering, and that's the purpose of our existence. Also, from the scriptures we have read, we see the Apostle admonishing us to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against our souls. He also admonishes us that our conversation must be truthful, honest, transparent, and holy among the Gentiles, that, whereas they speak against us as believers, they may by our good works glorify God. Gentiles are those who have not tasted the saving grace of God, they have not been to Calvary for forgiveness, but we are saved and have tasted the grace of God, and we should be different that through our lives, they will glorify God. As children of God, we need to understand that we are specially created to labour only for the glory of God. God purposely created us so we can serve Him acceptably and courageously, and we are alive so that we can do something commendable for the promotion and for the propagation of the Kingdom of God. Our living and our existence in life is to labour tirelessly and unrelentingly for God's glory. Even in our sleeping and waking up, we ought to live and labour faithfully for the glory of God. In everything we do, whether it's ordinary or extraordinary, we do it to the glory of God. In our interaction, there must be a true mark of a believer in our lives. Our service should not be superficial. It should not be eye-service, and we should not serve God sluggishly. And if we want our service to be rewarded, we must be dead to sin, and the flesh, we must totally separate ourselves from the corruption and defilement. As we are living and labouring for the glory of God, we don't economise our abilities, we don't economise our skill, and we don't economise our intelligence while serving the Lord. We serve the Lord according to the ability He has given us, and we should not decrease our ability or anything while we're serving our God. We must serve the Lord to the level of the ability and training that the Lord has given us.
Most especially, we should live a holy and gracious life that will guarantee our souls a safe journey to eternity.
POINT ONE: THE CONVICTION OF STRANGERS AND PILGRIMS IN THE WORLD.
TEXTS: 1 PETER 2:11, 1 CHRONICLES 29:14-15, PSALMS 119:19,54, HEBREWS 11:9-10,13-14,16, MICAH 2:10, 1 PETER 2:15,3:16, 1 THESSALONIANS 5:22.
We are not of the world. Our citizenship is in Heaven, we are strangers and pilgrims here on earth. God has sent us forth to the world as ambassadors, and as pilgrims, we don't have a permanent settlement here on earth. We are just living here temporarily because we are sojourners, and our days on earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.
We are just passing by through this world and our physical life is not something to fight for, and is not something to pursue because we are pilgrims and God has commissioned us to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. We are to be committed to the work God has given us. We see Abraham. He lived like he ought to live because he knew there's a better place prepared for him in heaven above. Likewise, we are pilgrims like Abraham and we are seeking for a better Country above, and if truly we understand that we are pilgrims, we'll not be fighting for the things of this perishable world because Heaven is our resting place. We should not put much value on the things of this world, and we should hold everything of this world with a loose hand. This world is not our final destination. We shouldn't look back because we know that this world is not our permanent place. We should never participate in what the people of the world are doing so that we will not be tied down on the day of Rapture. This world is not our home. We are strangers. This world is polluted and perverted, and as a pilgrim, you don't get yourself involved in their evil acts, so you will not be destroyed.
WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS?
1. YOU ABSTAIN FROM FLESHLY LUST 1 THESSALONIANS 5:22. The world can not understand you because they don't know the concept and the principle you're walking with. You don't compromise, and you don't agree with them. Though they will speak evil against you but if you abstain and stand on your ground, they will be surprised on the final day because you will make heaven and they will be ashamed.

POINT TWO : THE CONSCIENTIOUSNESS OF SAVED AND PECULIAR PEOPLE AT WORK.
TEXTS : 1 PETER 2:9,13-16 1 THESSALONIANS 4:11-12, 1 TIMOTHY 3:7-9, ROMANS 13:1-5; 1 TIMOTHY 4:2, 1 PETER 2:19.

We are peculiar children of God, and we must be peculiar in our dressing, we must be peculiar in our lifestyle and comportment, there must be peculiarity in our work ethics because we are strangers here on earth and we ought to be a testimony to the world that we are peculiar. It is the will of God that we are doing well and never use your freedom for maliciousness but always fear God and do good, fear the kings, and honour the people who are in authority. And we must be law-abiding as strangers. We are not to support the idolatry of the world, in your place of work be dependable, be faithful and honest. As strangers on earth, we don't agree with the world, but we must be honest and sincere. That's the testimony we ought to give. We are to shine forth as light, let them see the glory of God in your life and let them know that you belong to God; and let them see the grace of God working effectively in your life, let them see the difference in your life, and don't contribute money for idolatry, you are not to be fleshly as a peculiar child of God, you are not to be carnal and condemn. You ought to manifest the fruit of the Spirit and maintain peace. Be a minister of God working for good fearlessly. There are some people who kill their conscience. They shut down their conscience because they don't want any conscience to correct them when they are wrong. They behave and act anyhow because there's no lively conscience anymore. As pilgrims, our conscience must remain active because as we are learning, our conscience bears us witness of what we are learning and doing, and when you're going in the wrong direction it's your conscience that will direct you, but many people have killed their conscience and their conscience is seared with a hot iron.
In your place of work, be a shining light, work according to the dictate of your conscience, be honest, be conscientious and dependable.
CONSCIENTIOUSNESS OF SAVED AND PECULIAR PEOPLE ARE:
å You are honest and hardworking.
å You are Observant and Objective.
å You are loyal and law-abiding. If others work anyhow, you don't work carelessly because you are being paid for productive work.
å You are incorruptible and influential. You influence others at your place of work.
å You are noble and nurturing. You nurture yourself with the word of God, and you build up yourself spiritually.
å You are Submissive and Sincere. You single yourself out and never join the corrupt people.
å You are exemplary and experienced.
å You are selfless and strategic.
Be more conscientious.
POINT THREE: THE COMMISSION OF SERVANTS AND PRESERVERS OF HIS WORD.
1 PETER 2:21-25
While we are strangers, we are preservers of the Word of God because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that we should follow His steps. As we are preserving the Word of God, we must be different and we don't retaliate or revenge, and you don't mobilize other workers in your place of work by your action to scatter good things. We don't behave anyhow because we are commissioned to preserve the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and as believers, we caution ourselves, and we don't talk too much.
WHAT CHRIST IS TELLING US ARE:
We should follow His steps vs. 21.
We should be free from sins.
We should be faultless while suffering. We should not allow our life's suffering to touch our salvation and our ticket to Heaven. Life's suffering should not affect our salvation and our sanctification. We should be courageous, not to be angry or slide back.
Anger only belongs to the realm of sovereignty because JESUS Christ is our Lord and Creator, we don't have liberty to be angry because JESUS Christ has told us that, if anyone is angry with his brother, you will be in danger of hell fire. Anger must be absent from our lives.
- You must be faithful and surrender. You surrender everything to God faithfully and unreservedly.
- Fruitful through the sacrifice.
We are in fellowship with the Saviour vs. 24.
- Have FAITH in His Stripes. vs 25 Any terminal disease that is going to terminate your life is destroyed today because by His stripes, you're healed.
- Fearlessly under the Shepherd. David did that to picture what Jesus would do.
- You are fruitful through sacrifice.
- You are Fortified for Service. You'll not be weak. God will strengthen you, He will equip you and fortify you, and you will never fail in God's service. And as you live in those verses, and you read them over and over, and you apply them to yourself, every weakness will vanish away.

TOPIC: THE GREAT TRANSACTION BETWEEN GOD AND MAN

TEXT: JOHN 19:30

Today we want to examine the scriptures on the great transaction between God and man. The Lord Jesus Christ came to this world, died for us, conceived of a virgin, born of virgin and He lives righteously. He gave great teaching and brought out the life we ought to live as the people of God, and then He went to the cross of Calvary and died for us. And it was on the cross we have this great word Jesus spoke, when He finished the transaction, He said, "It is finished." Those three words confirmed and affirmed the transaction He made for us. When He said, "It is finished," it means it's done. He finished everything God sent Him to do. He came to pay the price of the sin of humanity. It is finished, it is done.

It's the great transaction that brings us out of where we are and brings us to where we ought to be. That's why the great songwriter captured it: "Oh happy day, a great transaction is done." He's the God, it's that great transaction we acknowledged and believe today, that great transaction we celebrate today. It's the sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary that brings us to God, and now we are children of God.

As we talk about the great transaction, we think of the result and consequence of that great transaction.

POINT ONE: THE GREAT TRANSACTION THROUGH THE GOSPEL OF THE MEDIATOR.

ROMANS 1:16-17.

We are familiar with the gospel, and when we look at Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, those gospels tell us the full story that leads to the final transaction, and it's that gospel that brings us the final things that Jesus did for us. Christ is Messiah and Mediator. This is the real source of any other source in our life, it's the great transaction that Jesus made through the gospel.

The great transaction made the children of Israel the people of God. They have to go out first out of slavery before they can serve Him. Some people tried to read the Ten Commandments and obey them, the real transaction is in Exodus chapter 12, when God says, "When I see the blood, I will pass over you." That's where the real transaction was made.

After the transaction in Exodus chapter 12, the Ten Commandments in Exodus chapter 20 were the transformation of their lives. We come to the New Testament, then we have the manifesto of Christ in Matthew 5, 6, and 7. Some read it to be a child of God. What makes us a child of God is by grace through faith, it's the gift of God. It's not Matthew 5, 6, and 7 that makes us a child of God, it's a life of transformation. What makes you a child of God is to believe that Jesus Christ, by that sacrifice, is your Lord. It's the transaction that makes you a child of God.

The gospel is the real sacrifice of Christ on the cross of Calvary, the gospel in the grace of Christ (Galatians 1:6, Romans 1:16-17). We don't get saved by reading the story of the Bible, we get saved as we believe in the grace of Christ. Grace is what brings the power of God into our lives, it's what brings the power of salvation to our lives. Believe in it, and you will become a child of God. Grace and faith are what give us salvation.

What is the real definition of GOSPEL?

I. G- Grace of Christ. Galatians 1:6
Faith in the finished work at Calvary, faith in the word, that's gives us salvation. The gospel without grace does not save. Trying your best without grace doesn't save.

ii. Obedience of Christ (Hebrews 7:25-27). Obedience of man doesn't save, it's the obedience of Christ that saves. Christ has the ability to save us because He was obedient to God the Father. His obedience replaces our disobedience. Literally, all have disobeyed God, but the obedience of Christ gives us the possibility of being a child of God.

iii. Sacrifice of Christ (1 Corinthians 5:7).
Many people take salvation away from what Christ has done, and they say they are sincere and simple. Their sincerity doesn't bring salvation to them, their simplicity does not bring salvation to them. It's the obedience of Christ that brings salvation to everyone of us. Christ has passed over as a sacrifice for us, that brings us to what God has said, "When He sees the blood, He will pass over us." That's the source for our salvation, that's the reason for our salvation, and that's the power and open gate for our salvation, because He said, "When I see the blood, I will pass over you." It's the blood of Jesus in the New Testament, not the blood of an animal.

iv. The Propitiation of Christ (1 John 2:1-2).
Jesus Christ the righteous is our advocate, He's the propitiation for our sins. When somebody sins and he said he will never do that again, but in his strength, he cannot avoid doing it, and he even punishes himself, that will not bring salvation. You cannot buy your salvation back from God it's not what you do, it's not what you have done, but it is by grace of God. He's the propitiation of our sin, it's this gospel of Christ that brings us to the result and the privilege of the transaction with God.

v. Exaltation of Christ (Philippians 2:8-11).
It's that exaltation of Christ that gives us emancipation and everything we need because He has made an acceptable sacrifice to God. He became a man so that He can die for us, because if He comes in the form of God, He will not die. He died for us and rose again. He was exalted by the Father, and whosoever calls on His name shall be saved. If He died like any other man and He didn't rise, we cannot be saved. We are justified by His death and resurrection life of Christ (Romans 5:8-10).

VI. L-Life of Christ. Romans 5:8-10
If we copy the life of Christ, we cannot be saved, what brings salvation is obedience, propitiation, a new life He has transferred into your life. Salvation is by Christ, all by Christ, Christ alone is the Saviour of man. Christ alone, by His grace and obedience, must be the Saviour. If you add anyone, philosophy, or your own effort, you are watering down everything, because Christ alone must save. Salvation is centered on Christ, revolves around Christ, and Christ alone.

He died for us, believe that, and no power of hell can keep you down in the dark dungeon. Transaction settles everything, and we have transformation. And the story of the gospel, you will find, emphasizes this spelled-out gospel, and that's what makes you a child of God.

POINT TWO: THE GREAT TRANSFORMATION BY HIS GRACE IN MAN

1 TIMOTHY 1:14–16

Grace turns us around, Grace puts something in us we couldn't have any other way, and the grace of God is something that works within us a great transformation. It's the grace that gives us a lively working presence transformation. This gracious transformation we have available for every man. Paul the apostle exalted the grace of God. What Christ has done for Paul is now available for everyone. You become a new man in Christ by the grace of God. Paul was empowered by the grace of God. A new life that comes to a believer is by the grace of God.

As we think about the transformation, He puts a difference between a saved believer.

I. The great transformation by His will.
Romans 12:1,2; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7

If God has not willed it, our determination and resolutions will not bring a change and transformation of life. The transformation is by the will of God. It's because of what God has ordained that everyone that has the experience of transaction will also have the experience of great transformation. It's life that is pure within and out. His power comes to you and transforms you and makes you acceptable to God and acceptable to heaven.

II. The gracious transformation of our will.
Acts 13:22; John 6:38

We have a mind, we have a will, we have the desire but God transforms our will. If your will is not transformed, it's the old will and there will be no transformation. But a grace comes to us and it changes our personal will. When you come to Christ, your physical appearance may not change but He changes you on the inside. And when you come to Christ and He lives in you, by that transaction He makes the transformation of your will. Everything you do is by your will, everything you don't do is by your will. But when He brings a glorious transformation in your will, then your life is new because your will is new.

Jesus came down from heaven not to do His will but the will of God. When your will is transformed to His will, in every situation you will do what He wants because you have a gracious transformation.

III. The great transformation to His Will.
Psalms 40:8; Matthew 6:9,10.

We don't carry our own will about, we are transformed to His own will. This is what makes transformation real, it's all of Christ. You determine and dedicate, your will doesn't amount to anything, it's God's will. And when we come to Him, He transforms us by His will.

Now we have the mind of Christ. He puts His thinking and plans in our heart. We desire what He desires, we love what He loves, and we do His will. We are transformed to His will. Situations change, the things around us change, all that we need is to be totally transformed to His will.

That's the reason He taught us to pray, "Thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven." There's no temptation and bad influence in heaven, there are no traitors in heaven. Here on earth, where the challenges are, we do His will here on earth as it is in heaven because of His transformation. That's the life of a believer. If this will did not approve, His word will not come out.

POINT THREE: THE GLORIOUS TRANSLATION TO GLORY, OF HIS MEMBERS

1 CORINTHIANS 15:51,52

And then at the end of life, there's something in the word called great translation. It's a glorious translation because He transfers us from earth to glory. He takes us away from this earth of suffering and He takes us to the heaven of glory. That's the hope of the believers, that we will see the Lord and be with the Lord forever and ever.

Without transaction, all those other things will not happen. We are His members, flesh of His flesh and bones of His bone. And He said, "Let not your heart be troubled." He said, "In His Father's house, there are many mansions, and He went to prepare a place for us, and He will come back again and receive us unto Himself." We are taken from earth and we are taken to heaven.

Paul the apostle expounded and explained that translation in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52.

We have examples of people that experienced unprecedented translation in both Old Testament and New Testament.

I. The truly righteous for an unprecedented translation.
Hebrews 11:5,6; 2 Kings 2:1,3,5,9,11

We have the translation of Enoch. Enoch didn't see death and God took him. He had this testimony that he pleased God. Without faith, we cannot please God. We have the translation of Elijah. He didn't go through the portals of death to go to heaven. They are fully righteous and they had unprecedented translation that never happened in their generation. It's a picture of what is going to happen to the church at the end of the time.

II. The triumphant Redeemer and His undeniable translation.
Luke 24:51,52; Acts 1:9–11.

It happened to Jesus our Saviour, and it will happen to us, the followers of Christ. Christ is coming again. Now today, we are looking forward to our own translation. The word of God confirms very clearly that for the believers of today, the very event we are waiting for is the translation to heaven. If you don't know about it, how do you prepare for it? If you don't know Christ is coming again, how do you prepare for it? You might be playing religion and don't know Christ is coming again. If the church is not preaching about rapture, the church might be ignorant. If the prayer of the church is to have the desire of the world, how does the church prepare for heaven?

III. The total redemption at our uncommon translation.
1 Thessalonians 4:14–18; Philippians 3:20,21

Christ will come with the saints who have died, and the saints on earth will join them in the cloud. The saints who are dead will rise first, and then we which are alive shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. That's the translation of the church.

It happened to Enoch, it happend to Elijah, and Jesus, and it will happen to the believer who has come into the kingdom through the transaction of the cross. It's important for everyone to come to God through the transaction of Jesus Christ, and the grace of God keeps you living in that triumphant life. When the saints are going in, you will be one of them. The work is done, the great transaction is done, salvation is available, the grace of God is available for everyone. Be steadfast in Christ, abide in Christ, live by the grace in Christ, and when the day of the translation of the righteous happens, you will be transferred to heaven without seeing death.

06/04/2026

We came from God as clay without a living spirit to survive until God breathed into the nostrils of man, with the breath of life, and then we became living souls.

But it's a pity when we're not thinking about our past story of how ordinary sand became a living soul.

Where are the people who lived 900 years in the Bible today?

No matter how long we'll live on this earth, our dust shall surely one day return to the ground where it came from.

Why is it that our dust is ignorant of this and never thinks about its destination?

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust. Job 34:15.

We came from God, and to God we shall return, nobody knows how he came to the world, and likewise, nobody knows the time of his departure.

How foolish is the dust that claims to inherit the earth forever?

The dust has forgotten its Creator,

The dust has forgotten its limited time,

The dust has forgotten its story of how it luckily became a living soul,

The dust has forgotten that it has nothing as an everlasting inheritance here on earth,

The dust has forgotten its day of judgment,

The dust wants to become temporarily popular by all means without thinking about its shortened period.

The dust wants to become a millionaire by all means, and it has forgotten that the owner of its life can come tomorrow.

The dust has forgotten that without receiving Salvation through Jesus Christ, it cannot enter into God's Kingdom.

The dust has forgotten that its time is too short.

The dust wants to always appear beautiful every day and forgets that it's the ants that will eat its flesh.

The dust has neglected the Salvation of Jesus Christ that can protect it from eternal death.

The dust rejected the Salvation of Christ that will give it eternal life.

Hebrews 9:27.

The dust has forgotten that, and as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the Judgment.

And because of the Father's love towards us, He sent His only begotten Son to save us from our sins that will bring us to eternal punishment. John 3:15-18.

But it's a pity because the dust rejected His offer.

Now, I come to the conclusion: If Christ should call you today, what will happen?

After that, you've chosen not to repent, what will be your end?

You refuse to repent from your sin and forsake them.

Your church activities without purity of heart are eternal punishment.

Your riches without Salvation are miserable.

For you to see Christ and escape your life from eternal punishment, you must come before Christ and confess all your sins before Him and forsake them, never returning to your sin again.

Failure to repent will surely lead to hell fire.

Adam's sin brought death. Romans 5:12, Romans 12:1-21. But Jesus' Death brought Eternal Life. Romans 6:23.

Will you repent from your sin today?

Where will you spend eternity?

Many are choosing Christ today, turning from all their sins away, Heaven shall be their happy portion.

Where will you spend eternity?

Eternity! Eternity! Where will you spend eternity?

Omobosede.

● When you're too anxious to get married and when you're under pressure, and it's like if you don't marry this month everything will crumble, you will make a wrong choice and you will walk in the wrong direction.

■ For Rebekah, before she married, there was no anxiety, no depression, no worry about others her age getting married; nothing like that at all. She was just living a normal life, and the Lord was making plans for her. The Lord will plan for you.

● Rebekah was well brought up, hospitable, and when she was asked a question, she answered politely and truthfully.

✍️ He also said, when God is leading you, you don't need to know the direction because God knows the direction He's leading you to.

■ The wisdom that builds a home for happiness doesn't come from a certificate, it doesn't come from university, and it doesn't come from reading books in the library. But it comes from within, such as: loving your husband, appreciating him, respecting him, wanting to contribute something positive to his life, wanting to lift him up, wanting him to be an achiever, and knowing what makes him happy, studying him, not books, seeing what makes him progress and visionary. You won't destroy your family, instead, you'll build it up with your wisdom and practical skills.

● Rebekah was a hygienic and homemaking woman. When Abraham's servant met her and asked for water, she hastened to give him a drink and offered to water his camels too. She was organized, hygienic, and a good homemaker. If you lack these qualities, learn from Rebekah.

Isaac in the family means:

⭕️ Industriousness for adequate provision

⭕️ Steadfastness despite adversaries' pushbacks, keep pushing forward.

⭕️ Attainment of an agreeable posture.

⭕️ Advancing towards the affirmed promise

⭕️ Companionship with the all-time partner, your partner will be there through challenges, prosperity, sickness, and old age

You and your partner will continue till the end, and nothing will separate you IN Jesus' Name.
