THE SUMMARY OF THE LESSONS FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP - 11ST OCTOBER 2026.

Title: Beware of Rebellion and Deception.

FIRST LESSON - NUMBERS 16:1-14

This Lesson talks about the story Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and other leaders rebelled against Moses and Aaron, challenging the authority God had given them. They accused Moses and Aaron of exalting themselves above the congregation, even though God had appointed them for their responsibilities. Moses was deeply troubled by their rebellion and reminded them of the privilege God had given them to serve Him. Despite Moses’ efforts to reason with them, Dathan and Abiram refused to listen and continued in their stubbornness. God desires humility, obedience, and respect for His divine authority. Rebellion, pride, jealousy, and stubbornness can lead us away from God’s purpose. As Christians, we must be careful not to allow personal ambition to destroy our relationship with God or create division among His people.

SECOND LESSON - 2 THESSALONIANS 2:3-10

Apostle Paul warns believers not to be deceived by false teachings and the activities of the man of lawlessness, who opposes God and exalts himself above everything called God. Although evil and deception will increase, the Lord will ultimately defeat the lawless one by the power of His coming. Those who perish are described as people who refused to love the truth and be saved, choosing instead to believe falsehood. We must remain steadfast in God’s Word and be watchful against deception. Not every voice or teaching comes from God. We must love the truth, obey His commandments, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us so that we do not fall into the traps of the enemy.

Both passages remind us that rebellion against God’s authority and the rejection of His truth can lead to destruction. As Christians, particularly as Celestials. We stand for salvation, so we must remain humble, obey God’s instructions, respect His appointed authority, and refuse to be deceived by worldly influences. Let us listen to the voice of God alone, stand firm in His truth, and remain faithful to the end.

May God deliver us from the spirit of rebellion, pride, stubbornness, and deception in Jesus Christ name, amen.
