There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain,
Then bursting forth in glorious Day,
Up from the grave He rose again,
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

A DAILY BIBLE DEVOTIONAL READING, FROM THE SPIRITUAL FATHER'S DESK.

DATE: WEDNESDAY 26TH AUGUST 2026
TOPIC: NO CONDEMNATION
BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 7: 46-48
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

GOLDEN VERSE:
"Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little." LUKE 7:47

EXPOSITORY:
The sinner woman came to Jesus anointed His feet in love and received forgiveness for her many sins'. God in Jesus loves the sinner and tax collectors as His friend. Matthew 9:11 - And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" NKJV

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1); there is no sinner our Lord Jesus will not embrace with open arms as long as you are willing to come unto Him. The price that He paid with His blood is the reason why He won't give up on you. You are God's creation and you are "most precious" in His sight. If He won't give up on you, why then do you want to give up on Him? It does not matter how many sins or evil you have done, Jesus blood is powerful enough to wipe it all away once you are willing to make confession, ask forgiveness and make restitution where possible. You have an invitation to come, and boldly to God's throne of grace and receive His mercy.

Isaiah 1:18 - "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. NKJV

Hebrews 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. NKJV

God grace is abundant in the place of great sins to save the sinner. This is why Jesus died, to save sinners. All that He requires from you is to TRUST Him because when He holds out His hands welcoming the repentant sinner. Heaven is waiting to rejoice over you as you return back to your beloved heavenly father in repentance. Luke 15:7 - I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. NKJV

Apostle Paul called himself a chief sinner and Jesus forgave him, you too a sinner can be forgiven if you are willing to receive pardon and forgiveness, so come and ask now, Jesus is waiting for you. 1 Timothy 1: 15-16 - This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. Howeyer, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. NKJV

PRAYER:
Father, thank you for not giving up on me because of my Grace in Christ Jesus. Amen.

TOPIC: FEAR GOD 2

MEMORISE:
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." PROVERBS 1:7

READ: DANIEL 1: 8-20 (KJV)
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

9 Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

10 And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.

11 Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,

12 Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

14 So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.

15 And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.

16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

18 Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

MESSAGE:
Yesterday, I discussed some benefits of having the fear of God, and today I will discuss how having the fear of God can give you access to the secrets of His heart.

The Bible says in Psalm 25:14 that the secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will reveal His covenant to them. God shares His secrets with those who fear Him, just like we humans tend to confide in those who believe in us and hold us in high regard.

Abraham was someone who feared the Lord, and in turn, he was given access to the secrets of God's heart. When God wanted to destroy S***m and Gomorrah, He said, "...Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do," (Genesis 18:17). God can only say such about the people who fear Him because He knows that they will cherish His secrets.

Daniel was another person who gained tremendous insights because of how he feared and honoured God. He was taken into captivity at a young age, but his fear of the Lord led him to remain faithful to Him. The Bible says in Daniel 1:8 that he purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the portion of the king's meat. He honoured God by being faithful to Him even in a foreign land and also led his companions to do the same. God, in turn, honoured his decision by making him and his companions ten times better than their peers (Daniel 1:20). When the king had a dream that none of the magicians in the land could tell or interpret, God revealed it to Daniel (Daniel 2:19).

Beloved, when you fear God, you will never lack spiritual knowledge and insight because God will always make sure that you have access to it. Today's memory verse says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, and Psalm 111:10 also says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Everyone who feared the Lord in the Bible had access to uncommon knowledge. If you want to access that kind of knowledge, you have to fear God. If you want God to give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches in secret places, just as He promised in Isaiah 45:3, you must honour Him with your thoughts, decisions, and actions. I pray that the Almighty God will give you access to the secrets of His heart as you honour Him with your life, in Jesus' name.

KEY POINT:
Those who fear God have access to uncommon insights and knowledge.

Good Morning Family and Friends

Why is it that we always waste our time looking for what God has readily made available for us? This is because we are ignorant of the care, concern and the provision that God have in stock for our lives. An open cheque is placed before everyone of us and the only criteria to fill in the cheque is by surrendering our totality unto Him (Please meditate on Genesis 1:28, Isaiah 55: 1-3, Matthew 6:33). Remember, He does not have any delight in the destruction of your soul but in your salvation. His second coming is not a joke, be prepared. Have a testimonies' filled day. IT IS JOY.

TOPIC: BEHOLD YOUR REDEEMER
BIBLE TEXT: ISAIAH 43:1; GALATIANS 3:13

ISAIAH 43:1
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

GALATIANS 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

GOLDEN VERSE:
"But now, this is what the Lord says-He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." ISAIAH 43:1

EXPOSITORY:
To redeem is to pay a ransom price to set a slave free. God is Our Redeemer. He redeemed Israel from slavery in Egypt. Christ came to redeem man from slavery of sin, Satan and eternal death. He died on the cross, was buried and rose after three days, paying the ransom price for humanity's freedom. Isaiah 49:26 - I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob." NIV

Man fell at the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve rebellion against God (Genesis 3:15). God promised a Redeemer. Consequently, Jesus Christ came to redeem man from the curse of the law, sickness and eternal death.

Galatians 3: 13-14 - Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. NIV

To enter into the redemption place, you have to acknowledge your need for a Saviour and receive God's forgiveness and pardon to become a child of God. The blood of the Lamb, Jesus takes away the sins of the whole world. (John 1:29).

You chose to be redeemed from slave by accepting Christ finished works on Calvary tree. Christ redemption brings you into the righteousness of God as a free gift to reign in life and freedom from sin and Satan. Zaccheaus accepted Christ invitation and repented to be saved for he was also a son of Abraham.(Luke 19:10). Christ came to save sinners and give abundant life, have you received this life? Today is your day of salvation. (John 3:16; John 10:10b).

In as much as you accept and believe in Jesus Christ, God now knows your name, calls you by a new name and adopts you as a joint heir with Christ. God's love for you is so great that He provided a way to redeem you from the penalty of sin. Like Job, you too can say your Redeemer lives; Job 19:25 - I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. NIV

Because you are redeemed by Christ blood, you become a child of God, saved from wickedness, purified and ready to do good work (Titus 2:14).

PRAYER:
Dear God, today by Your mercy, I know I am the redeemed of the Lord through the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you Father, Amen.

TOPIC: FEAR GOD 1

MEMORISE:
"But the Lord your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies." 2 KINGS 17:39

READ: PSALM 112: 1-9 (KJV)
1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

MESSAGE:
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Psalm 111:10); therefore, anyone who does not fear God is not wise. He is a Consuming Fire (Hebrews 12:29), and those who do not fear Him are truly foolish because even a mad dog fears fire. Psalm 111:10 also means that those who fear God become wise.

Apart from wisdom, however, there are many other benefits to fearing God, and today's Bible reading outlines many of them. One of the benefits is that the seed of a person who fears God will be mighty upon the earth (Psalm 112:2). That same verse also tells us that the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Psalm 112:3 says that you will have access to wealth and riches when you fear God. Also, Psalm 112:7 says that you will not be afraid of evil tidings. People who fear God do not need to be afraid of anything because He will deliver them out of the hands of all their enemies and everything that can harm them.

Those who do not fear God will find it easy to commit sins, and this can bring a curse upon them and their descendants. For example, Gehazi's lack of fear for the Lord caused him and his descendants to become carriers of the leprosy that was previously upon Naaman (2 Kings 5: 20-27). Whenever a person acts in a way that shows that he or she does not fear God, such a person robs his or her children of the opportunity to be great and exposes them to curses rather than blessings.

Joab was another person whose lack of fear for the Lord brought curses upon his lineage. In 2 Samuel 3: 27-29, the Bible details how he tricked Abner and murdered him in cold blood. When David heard about it, he placed a curse on Joab's lineage that sicknesses, leprosy, poverty, weakness, and untimely death would befall Joab's family and his descendants. People who do not fear God purchase trouble for their children.

Beloved, if you want your future and that of your children to be glorious, you need to have the fear of God in you. If you're going to have peace of mind in your old age, you must fear God. The reason I am sure that my tomorrow and those of my children will be alright is that I fear the Lord. I pray that your life and those of your descendants will be filled with blessings and not curses, in Jesus' name.

KEY POINT:
The fear of the Lord guarantees God's blessings for you and your lineage.

REFRAIN
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3 O, the pure delight of a single hour,
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!

4 There are depths of love that I cannot know,
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach,
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

TOPIC: ALL THINGS WERE MADE FOR HIM
BIBLE TEXT: COLOSSIANS 1: 16 -17
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

GOLDEN VERSE:
"For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities: all things have been created through him and for him." COLOSSIANS 1:16

EXPOSITORY:
Revelation 4:11 - "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created." NKJV. Someone said, when the purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable. 'Have you ever stopped to think about the purpose of your life? Why were you created? Some years after I started to walk with God, I suddenly started to have a feeling of lack of identity in Christ. I felt that because things were not going according to the way I wanted, then it must mean that God did not love me like He did others, so I told myself that it was better to take my destiny into my hands and do whatsoever made me feel good. The more I tried that, the more debts and pain I incurred, until God helped me again.

God made you for His own purpose, agenda and glory. Isaiah 45: 1-2 - "Thus says the LORD to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held - To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut: 'I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. NKJV

Every human being has an assignment from God, why he was made and God controls all. Cyrus was a gentile king but God used him as He willed, to subdue nations and bless His people. You can not live outside the will and plans and purposes of God, for you were made by Him and for Him. Apostle Paul tried to live outside God's will but had to surrender when the risen Saviour encountered him on his way to Damascus persecuting God's people. God had called him from birth to be His own, a witness and minister of the gospel. Galatians 1: 15-16 - But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, NKJV

Perhaps, you have experienced a loss of identity in Christ, whom God called you to be, your assignment, your purpose; God wants to redirect your course back to Himself if you will surrender unto Him. When you lack the understanding for your real purpose in life, you live to yourself as Me, Mine and I. All your talents, skills, and passions were given to you to serve God and bring glory to His Name. Let God work in you to do His will for His pleasure (Philippians 2:13) as you align your life with His purposes.

PRAYER:
Dear God, please realign my life to fit into Your perfect plans, pleasure and purpose in Jesus Christ Name. Amen.

THEME: NOTHING GOOD TO OFFER

MEMORISE:
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." JAMES 4:7

READ: LUKE 11: 24-26
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

MESSAGE:
The devil has two types of captives: the willing captives and the unwilling captives. An unwilling captive is someone who has entered either willingly or unwillingly into the trap of the devil but now wants to be delivered. Such a fellow will be set free from the devil's hold when an anointed child of God prays for him or her. A willing captive, on the other hand, is someone who also gets into the devil's hold either willingly or unwillingly but refuses to repent or be delivered because of the perceived benefits he or she is getting by serving satan. Even if such a fellow is forcefully delivered, he or she will return to the devil's camp, and this time around, the bo***ge will be much worse because the demon(s) that were previously cast out will be multiplied sevenfold (Matthew 12: 43-45).

Many years ago, we discovered that a witch was among us in the church. We prayed for her to be delivered; however, she remained in bo***ge. We then asked her if she wanted to be free, and she said, "No. Do you want me to lose the power that I use to control my husband?" Such thinking is very unfortunate because those who serve the devil are headed for eternal damnation if they do not repent.

A woman whose children were dying one after the other went to seek help from a prophet because she needed him to pray to God for their protection. While waiting for him, his wife asked her why she wanted to see her husband. She explained why she had come, and the prophet's wife gave her a kolanut to eat, telling her it would solve her problem and that she didn't need to wait for her husband again. When she went to sleep that night, she suddenly found herself among some witches in the spirit realm. They welcomed her and promised to protect her children if she joined them. She agreed based on their promise, and after some time, it became her turn to supply the blood that the coven would drink. At that point, she surrendered her husband to be sacrificed. More time passed, and it became her turn again to supply blood. This time, however, the witches asked her to sacrifice her children. That was when she decided to seek God's help to save her children from the devil's plan. Thank God she came to the church, and God delivered her.

Beloved, the devil offers nothing good or lasting. For everything he gives, he takes a thousand fold in return. I pray that God grants you the grace to avoid his traps, and if he currently has any hold over you and you are willing to be set free, I decree your liberty now, in Jesus' name.

KEY POINT:
The devil has nothing good to give. Those who serve him are headed for eternal damnation.
