Topic: BREAKING THE POWERS OF LIMITATIONS!
Text: 2 Kings 7:1–20
This month of October is our Month of Breaking Limitations!
What is limitation?
Limitation is a barrier, fear, negative mindset, or circumstance that prevents a person from reaching their God-given potential. It is a situation where you desire to move forward, but something keeps holding you back.
You may want to progress, but circumstances say, “You cannot.” You may want to start again, but fear says, “It is too late.”
But I am here to announce to you today that your limitation is not your destination!
In 2 Kings 7, Samaria was experiencing severe famine, and hope seemed lost. Yet, God used four lepers, people considered insignificant and rejected, to bring good news and deliverance to an entire city.
This teaches us that God can use your disadvantages as a platform to reveal His power.
3 WONDERS OF BREAKING LIMITATIONS
1. THE POWER OF UNITY – Psalm 133:1
Unity is power. A united people are difficult to break. The four lepers reasoned together and made a collective decision to move forward.
Unity drives purpose, strengthens vision, and produces results. When we work together with one heart and purpose, limitations can be broken.
2. THE WONDERS OF THE PROPHETIC – 2 Kings 7:1–2
The prophet Elisha declared that by the following day, there would be abundant provision in Samaria.
Although the situation looked impossible, God had already spoken.
When God speaks, circumstances must bow to His Word!
Never allow your present situation to make you doubt what God has spoken concerning your future. What looks impossible today can become your testimony tomorrow.
3. THE WONDERS OF DECISION – 2 Kings 7:3–4
The four lepers asked themselves:
“Why sit we here till we die?”
They realised that remaining in the same position would not change their situation, so they made a decision to move.
Sometimes, breaking limitations begins with a decision: to start that business, learn a new skill, pursue an opportunity, meet new people, or step out in faith.
When the lepers moved, God moved on their behalf. The Lord caused the Syrian army to hear the sound of a great army, and they fled, leaving their possessions behind.
Your movement of faith can become the platform for divine intervention!
