Many believers today don't know how to transition from Psalms 35 into Matt 5:43-44

It is essential that we know that we are no longer under the law but under grace. Every testament has its rule. The rule that governs prayer in the OT is different from the one in the NT. The rule that governs us in the NT is the commandment of love. (John 13:34-35).

Until we understand that fact, we will still be praying wrongly.

Tips on prayer (17/10/25)

Luke 9:53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. 54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

It is one thing to know the scriptures, and another thing to know how to apply them. Here we see James and John quoting the scriptures for Jesus (because their Bible then was from Genesis to Malachi), referring to how the prophet Elijah called down fire to consume his enemy. But Jesus corrected their wrong application.

So you can't say, because it's in the bible, I must do it, you must understand the application in context.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth._

Adequate study of the word will always help us to understand the correct application.

MOTIVES

‎• PROVERBS 16:2 NLT
‎People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives.

Motives are important to God.

God is interested in WHY we do things, not just in WHAT we do.

Why do you do what you do?

‎Is it to help others? To please God? Or do you live focused totally on yourself?

‎These questions are important to ask ourselves. As First Corinthians 11:31 says, "if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged."

However, we must use caution when trying to judge other people. We don't know their motives.

‎• PROVERBS 21:2 LB
‎We can justify our every deed, but God looks at our motives.

‎We often justify ourselves, but judge others harshly. We may judge ourselves based on our good intentions, but we are only capable of judging others by their actions.

‎So, we must be very cautious about judging others in a condemning way.

1 CORINTHIANS 4:5 NIV
‎Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

One main reason we are not qualified to judge others is because we don't know their thoughts, intentions, and motives. Only God does.

God laughs. So should you!

1 Kings 21:2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. Hear me, I speak by the authority in the word of God and I pray for you today that every power planning to take away from you any of your inheritance, the Almighty God will rise on your behalf to defend and fight for you and disgrace them all in the mighty name of Jesus. Good morning and have a wonderful day.

WE KNOW IN PART

• 1 CORINTHIANS 13:9 NKJV
For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

The apostle Paul, who was caught up into Heaven, given divine revelation, and wrote down most of the New Testament, said he only knew in part.

If he only knew in part -- how much more it must be true for us.

One problem we have is too many people thinking they know more than they really do. Just because you have read the Bible does not make you a Bible expert. Just because you have a degree from a Bible school does not mean you have all the answers.

Even if you know Hebrew and Greek, so you can read the Bible in the original languages, it does not mean you understand the Bible. It can help, but it does not guarantee understanding. The apostle Paul certainly knew those languages, yet he only knew in part.

Understanding the Bible does not come through study alone, but also by divine illumination. Understanding comes from God.

We need to be smart enough to admit, along with the apostle Paul, that we don't know it all.

It's not a sin to not know everything. We should not feel like we must have an answer for every question.

God even said there are some things that are secret.

• DEUTERONOMY 29:29 NKJV
"The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

God also indicates there are things in His Word we will only see if we search diligently and work at it, like we were digging for silver_ ( Proverbs 2:1-7).

So, we all need to remain humble.
Humility always accompanies wisdom. There is much in the Bible that none of us yet knows completely.

• 1 CORINTHIANS 13:12 NKJV
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

Only when we are face to face with God will we see the whole picture. Until then we will only know in part.

Exodus 16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. Hear me, I speak by the authority in the word of God and I decree and declare today that every of your need physically, spiritually, maritally, financially, emotionally, academically etc, the Almighty God shall met all in the mighty name of Jesus. Good morning and have a wonderful day.

Tips on prayer (14/10/25)

John 8:44 Ye are of father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Just the same way God is fathering the saved people, the devil is also fathering the unsaved

You can't sit on the fence

You are either saved or not. And no man can have two divine fathers.

When praying see God as your Father, and talk to him as a Father.
