What Do You Fear?

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

Fear can manifest in so many ways. It can be fear of heights, pain, certain animals, the dark, etc. And a more spiritual kind of fear can be the fear of walking away, losing a loved one, losing a job, experiencing lack, and so on. Does giving in to this kind of fear bring any good fruit? The truth is that whatever we choose, there will always be consequences that will follow. But a sound mind, power, and love are what God puts in our minds and hearts in order to empower us to do what He is calling us to do.

Beloved, yes, we may lose friends or a job, and walking away can mean being slandered or hated, but never once did God abandon anyone who obeyed His promptings! If He gives you a sound mind, power, and love in a particular situation, and you yield to it rather than your fears, yes, there may be consequences. But as He promised, what we suffer now is nothing compared to what He shall reveal! What do you fear? Overcome in Jesus’ name!

Prayer point: Abba Father, thank You for revealing our fears and giving us sound mind, power, and love! May Your perfect will be done as we overcome our fears by Your Spirit and face any situation or person with grace and love. Thank You, for we shall break through in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Born of God

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13 KJV

A child born into a wealthy family ultimately grows up to be a wealthy person too, and a child born into a dysfunctional family often grows up to be a problematic person. When we were born into this world, we also inherited what was passed down to us. The truth is, there’s no such thing as a perfect family, and no matter how perfect life seems to be, it’s all meaningless without encountering Christ.

Beloved, being born again is becoming a child of God through Christ Jesus. Everything that God has, we can also have through Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3)! It is such a privilege and gift to be born of God in our new life in Christ; a chance for everyone to let go of the past and live a life in abundance through Jesus Christ. Beloved, no matter what family you belong to, through Christ Jesus you are no longer born out of the will of man but of the Father! Hallelujah!

Prayer point: Abba Father, thank You for making us sons and daughters through Christ Jesus! Thank You for such a wonderful chance of a new life in Christ, to be born out of Your will rather than man’s, and to be blessed by every spiritual blessing from heaven! We are so blessed to be called children of God, and we are thankful for what the Lord has done in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let the Lord Take the Wheel.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Psalms 37:23 KJV

When you’re driving a vehicle and the road you want to take is closed for some reason, you don’t force your car to go straight ahead, because you know there might be danger ahead. What you do is slowly make a U-turn to find another road. Isn’t driving similar to our walk with God?

Beloved, sometimes as you take one road out of your own free will or motive, the Lord leads you to a U-turn in the other direction! He sees what is ahead on the road, and He always directs the steps of those He loves! Making a U-turn sometimes hurts our pride or our understanding of things, or it may cause things to make no sense to us. But when we allow the Lord to take the wheel, we know that we will always reach our destination safe and sound! Beloved, may You always allow the Lord to take the wheel of life and let Him drive!

Prayer Point: Lord, forgive me for the times I was stubborn and wanted to go in the direction I thought was safe or good. From now on, I give You the wheel of my life and let You drive for me. I entrust to You my life in all things, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Unforsaken Seeker

"And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." Psalm 9:10 KJV

Since David was a young shepherd, he had learned to trust in God's character as he depended on Him for courage and security. As he grew in intimacy with God for many years, he knew that God would never abandon him. David had taken so many leaps of faith, putting everything on the line as he trusted in God.

Beloved, trust is a consequential response when you truly know someone. As we know the name of God and His character, we see His faithfulness, love, mercy, and power. What we know about Him changes our perspective when it comes to facing life's challenges. Those who truly seek Him will never be disappointed if they experience God, Who never forsakes or abandons those who trust Him. Trust in Him at all times, beloved! He won’t disappoint you!

Prayer point: Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Your name and Who You are to us, especially in our time of need. Help us in our pursuit to know You deeply, growing in our trust in Your faithfulness. May we have it in our hearts to seek You daily as we find peace and hope in Your unchanging nature in Jesus' name. Amen.

Walk on the Bright Path Ahead of You!
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105 KJV

It is not true when people say God is silent. If God became silent, can you imagine how dark it would be for a Christian? That is why God left us with His Word! In all seasons of life, His words will always speak to us!

Beloved, praise God for His Word, which is just within our reach!

Whenever you feel lost, empty, and discouraged, His Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path! As you meditate on God’s promises, the Holy Spirit shall strengthen you in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

Prayer point: Abba Father, thank You for Your Word that is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Thank You for always speaking through the Scriptures so I am guided and led by the Holy Spirit. You never fail to speak to me in all seasons of my life, and I am thankful for Who You are in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Jesus Will Acknowledge You Before the Father!

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32 KJV

What a marvelous truth that one day, Jesus will acknowledge and honor us before Heavenly Father. Because we have acknowledged Him, confessed, and professed His name and our faith in Him publicly without shame, Jesus will do the same for us before the heavens and Heavenly Father!

Beloved, continue to be bold in professing your faith and your love to the Lord! Even if people might reject you, look at you foolishly, or secretly despise you for your faith and dedication to the Lord, continue to acknowledge God and share His testimonies with others in joy! In the end, nothing compares to seeing Jesus face to face, proudly talking about you before the angels and Heavenly Father when the time comes! Hallelujah!

Prayer point: Lord Jesus, thank You for acknowledging me before Heavenly Father as I boldly profess and proclaim about You and Your deeds. Thank You for seeing my faith in You and my love for You. People’s opinions about my faith and relationship with You don’t matter because nothing compares to hearing You acknowledge me one day before the Father’s presence in heaven in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Living in the Light of Christ

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:5 KJV

Do you sometimes feel like you are surrounded by darkness? It can be at your workplace, where people scheme against you, it can be in the ministry, where others try to sabotage your calling, or it could even be in your own family, where they are deceived in certain areas and want to project it onto you. Whatever your case may be, know that as a child of God, you are not alone in these kinds of challenges (1 Peter 5:9).

Beloved, as long as Jesus Christ reigns and you continue to believe in Him, no darkness shall overcome you! The Light of Christ in you is greater than the darkness in this world (1 John 4:4)! You are always victorious in Christ in all situations and places! Hallelujah!

Prayer point: Heavenly Father, thank You for the light of Christ that is greater than the presence of darkness! I magnify Your marvelous doings through the Son for His empowering me always and reminding me of Your Word. No darkness shall overcome me and my family, and I will continue to witness Your power in my life through Christ in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Finding comfort in your sufferings.

This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. Psalm 119:50 (KJV)

Being a follower of Jesus Christ is no easy path. You will be persecuted by those closest to you because of your faith, have friends turned into enemies because you no longer follow the ways of the ungodly, be mocked in your workplace or school for being a Christian, and so much more. When you walk according to God's will, you will find strong opposition here, and there that can break your heart and cause you pain.

Beloved, Jesus Christ said that if this world hates you, remember that it hated Him first (John 15:18). Jesus walked the same path as you are suffering now because of your great love for God. He also faced strong opposition, persecution, and rejection. And He faced so much pain that He gave His life for our sake. But Jesus Christ said He overcame it all (John 16:33). Now, He lives forevermore and is seated at the Father's right hand! Let Christ be Your greatest hope, joy, peace, and comfort in all situations. It’s your turn to walk in the same victory through Christ, Who gives you strength! Be encouraged!

Prayer point: My Lord, my Comfort, and my Savior, You are my hope and peace in all my sufferings. Thank You for Who You are and for bringing light into my life. Even though I may walk the darkest valley, You are there comforting me and encouraging me so that I can do all things through You. If You have overcome this world, I will also overcome this world because of Your presence and Your Word. I don’t have to be discouraged when I face pain and brokenness, for I know that You are worth it. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
