Topic: Go Back to the Secret Place
Bible Passage: Matthew 6:6 – “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
Matthew 7:7–8:
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Message
The secret place is where true strength, direction, and intimacy with God are built. In the busyness of life, many believers drift away from that private fellowship, yet it is there God reveals His mind and refreshes our spirit.
Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:6 that prayer in the secret place is not about public display, but about deep communion with the Father who sees what others do not see. That secret fellowship produces open rewards—peace, guidance, provision, and power.
Matthew 7:7–8 assures us that when we ask, seek, and knock, God responds. But where do we do the asking, seeking, and knocking? —in the secret place. The secret place is where our faith is exercised and our requests are laid before God. It is where we seek His face, not just His hand.
When we return to the secret place:
Our hearts are aligned with His will.
We receive strength to face life’s challenges.
We find answers to questions and solutions to problems.
We experience God’s presence in a personal, transforming way.
Call to Action
Beloved, go back to the secret place. Do not let distractions rob you of communion with your Father. Your open testimony begins with your hidden fellowship.
