How Long Is Too Long To Wait?

Sister A attended the same fellowship with me and we knew her as a sister who loved God but she had one desire "To Get Married" don't blame her she was already in her 20s!

We joined her in prayers and told her to keep trusting God. She had suitors but guess what? They all wanted s*x before marriage. Some of them were even pastors! How terrible!

Yet, this sister held on. Call her naive, she held onto purity but she was distracted! She had all her focus on the marriage thing, everything she did even in church was connected to getting a suitor.

What she wanted wasn't wrong but the approach wasn't right. She depended on her own ways instead of trusting God totally, she was fretting, crying, all her prayers was focused to marriage.

It was at this time she got counseled, God instructed her to trust Him and serve Him, forgetting about the marriage issue and thank Him for the provision of the good man He will bring.

She served God and when it was time for a spouse, God gave her someone who loved God and it has been a wonderful experience. My mom always use this story to talk about how God will make things work for you if you get busy and remain steadfast.

It is good to get married when you desire, no one is trying to take that desire from you but it will not worth it when you try to get married outside God's will for you.

No rush, don't give into immorality because you are in your late 20s or even 30s! God has prepared the best for you. Please wait! God's standards cannot be brought down.

Don't allow anyone deceive you into allowing s*xual sin before marriage! Small touch, small kiss but it defiles you! Even if he said he is a pastor or apostle, don't drop those standards!

Wait, it wouldn't take so long but even if it takes long, how long is too long to wait? We will wait! We stand🔥
