THREE KINDS OF CHURCH MEMBERS
There are three kinds of people in Church and in life. Find out below where you or your loved ones belong:
1. Those who make things happen by active and sacrificial performance to grow the Church. (20%)
These people take ownership of God’s work as theirs knowing that every house is built by some man and that they are that man. They obey instructions readily. They do everything to create eternal record. They are helpers and co-labourers. They work to build the kingdom of Christ on earth through their local church. They understand that every good work is increasing their account in heaven and attracting blessings to them on earth.
Hebrews 3:4 KJV
For every house is builded by some man ; but he that built all things is God.
Philippians 4:3 KJV
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
The Lord is looking out for those in this first category. I pray that this is where you belong. If not, you need to migrate here now and help someone migrate here today. Prove that you are in this category: Step out to evangelize or pick up your phone now and call five persons to be in church tomorrow. Ensure they come.
2. Those who watch things happen and play no role. (50%).
They don’t invite people to church. They don’t preach to others to give their lives to Christ. They don’t engage in House fellowship or discipleship training. They resist instructions and care less about what becomes of the church. Some of them live in disobedience, bitterness and offence. Alexander, Jannes and Jambres are in this class.
2 Timothy 4:14-15 NKJV
Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works. [15] You also must beware of him, for he has greatly resisted our words.
2 Timothy 3:8-9 KJV
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. [9] But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
3. Those who discuss about what is happening and play only passive role by way of eye service just to fulfill all righteousness. (30%).
They gossip their church to others and gossip their pastor to others but pretend they are winning souls and are very active in Church. Even if they are compelled to win souls, they don’t follow up those souls. They look out for committed new members to befriend only to pass the same virus to them.
Ephesians 6:6-7 KJV
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; [7] With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
My beloved, no matter which class you belong, there is either room for improvement (category 1) or there is room for change (category 2&3). Those in Categories 2 and 3 can actually move up to Category 1. John Mark was a perfect example in Paul’s life and ministry. He refused to take him along on a missionary journey with Barnabas and Silas but later asked that he be brought to him for he was profitable to him in ministry. Mark changed. Alleluia! Change is possible. Yes! _Acts 15:37-38; 2 Timothy 4:11.
Let’s make it happen for Christ in tomorrow’s Service and the evening KDF and watch multiple blessings following you in Jesus name.
