WHERE ARE THEY?
(10:20) But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go. (10:22) And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: (10:23) They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. Exodus 10 vs 20, 22 & 23.
Let 's access these, you are in a community where a congregation of believers who proofs to worship the living God were victimized by the community leaders who also believes their gods are superior to that of mere congregation. The stress was much the group prayed and the living God told them to leave the community, the elders were informed but ignored the group coordinators. The community Chief was now told the living God will punish the whole community and their gods but the congregation will not be affected, he also ignored the warning. Then events of plagues starts taking turns on the whole community but not a single soul was affected in the congregation. Diseases, circumstances confirmed not to have ever happened before. Like rains and flood every where that no family was left out without a lose of valuables, even life, not once, twice nor thrice except that of the group of believers. Will you continue to give sacrifices to the gods of the community?
Where were the gods of Egypt, who sent the idols on errand? The shrine and their followers could not stand, they have to bow to the authority of the living God . Pharaoh's heart was hardened because God wants to proof to the Egyptians His might, that their gods are puppets, He also wants to proof to the Israelites that He is the only God. He extended the proof from the then generation to our generation. The Israelites were delayed in slavery by the hardening of Pharaoh's heart for this present generation to learn from. If God should withdraw light and send a very thick darkness such that electricity will be useless and no one could see him/herself not to talk of seeing other people for three days., there is nothing no one can do.
As you serve the living God you cannot really access the lose and agony the camp of the enemies and their gods are into. God will shut them down from duty those mandated to trouble you, their gods shall be humbled like dagon before the Ark of Covenant, you shall live in the fullness of God's grace in Jesus name
