A NEW DAWN( Part 1)

Every new year holds new things humanity cannot predict until people begin to experience what God, the owner of the universe predestined for each an everyone of and everyone of us as the days of the year speeds on. Some of us may not accept this fact as a result of lack of love and confidence on the true God who holds the world in His powerful hands, and knows what the future has in stock for everyone.
However, as each day of the new year dawns and speeds on God unfolds through His spirit what He has in stock to those who love Him and confidently rely on Him to rule their lives throughout the year. "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein". Psalm 24 vs.1. Because God is the owner of the world and all that dwell in it, He does not only reveal to His children by His spirit what the future has in stock for them, but makes them to reap the benefit of the kingdom by faithfully their heart desires through their faith in Christ Jesus. Our duty is just to ask for those things He has in stock for us according to our heart desiresas He reveals them to us. John 15 vs.7 says: "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in You, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you".
Those who wants to reap the benefits of the kingdom this year must apply it's principles as stressed in the above text. (See also John 14 vs. 13-14, 16 vs.23-24)

JESUS CHRIST, THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD.

The Angel Gabriel was sent from God to announce to virgin Mary that she would conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost and bring forth a son and call His name Jesus. ( Luke 1 vs.26-31). Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, an angel of God appeared to shepherds taking care of their flocks by night and announced the birth of Jesus Christ, saying; " For unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour which is called Christ the Lord. ( Luke 2 vs.11).
SAVIOUR means one who saves or rescues from dangerous situation. Jesus Christ was born to save humanity from the repercussion of sin and wickedness. Matthew 1 vs.21 states: " And she shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call His name Jesus. For He shall save his people from their sins". Sin separates you from God, but Jesus makes peace between you and God. Romans 5 vs.1
Sin works death. Romans 5 vs.12, Revelation 21 vs.8. Sins exposes you to sickness, diseases and all afflictions of the devil. 1 John 3 vs.8. So Jesus was born to save you from all the dangers and repercussions of sin both In this world and in eternity. NO OTHER SAVIOUR. Jesus Christ is the only one who can save from sin

FLEE IDOLATRY PART 1
In exodus 20:3-6,God warns "thou shalt not have no other god before me.thou shall not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,or that is in the earth.thou shalt not bow down thyself to them,nor serve them for I the lord thy God am a jealous God,visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandment."
Idolatry is the practice of worshiping statues or other creatures as gods instead of God our creator.Gods warnings against idolatry is very vivid and specific.Anyone who worships other creatures as god and bow down before them hates the true God-The Creator of the universe.it means he despises and rejects God supremacy over his life.
Other gods are man made gods.They are created by God Almighty as man was created by him too.They can neither create nor deliver. Idolatry is the devils strategy to divert man's attention from his creator,The Almighty God.
It is however foolishness for man created in the image and likeness of God,unique and highly placed above other creatures to bow down and worship them as god instead of God Almighty.
Anyone engaging in idolatry has brought himself low in disrespect because he was created to exercise authority over what he now takes as his god.(Genesis 1 vs 28-32).
Moreover,any material thing that takes the place of God in your life has become your god.Whatever you love more than the living God has become idol in your life.(1 john 2 vs 15).
The purpose for which God created you is to love and serve him as the only true God without rival.Therefore anything you love above God which does not allow you to give your best service to God has become an idol.
Notwithstanding,some individuals deliberately turn away from the living God to serve idols. They despise God and his laws and engage themselves

JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD RESTORED THE AUTHORITY LOST BY MAN
There is a fundamental truth about Jesus Christ being the son of God.He was not a prophet or a messenger of God as the opinion of some have been.He came down from heaven direct from God the Father.(john 3:13-18,matthew 3:15-17,17:5,acts 1:11)
Luke's gospel gives the account of Christ supernatural birth as follows---"And in the sixth month,the Angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of galilee named nazareth.To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph of the house of David;and the virgin's name was Mary.And the Angel said unto her,fear not Mary;for thou hast found favor with God.And behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb,and bring forth a son and shall call his name JESUS.Then said Mary unto the Angel,how shall this be seeing I know not a Man? And the Angel answered and said unto her,The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee,therefore also that Holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the SON OF GOD.(luke 1:26-27,30-31,34-35,matthew 1:18-21,luke 2:8-16)
As the son of God,his life style on earth was characterised with the attributes of God the Father.(matthew 11:27-29,galatians 5:22-23).Also he demonstrated the authority of the Father when he healed the sick,cleansed the leper,opened the blind eyes,made the deaf to hear,the lame to walk,raised the dead and walked upon the sea.(mattew 4:23-24,15:32-38,john 11:41-44,luke 18;35-43)
He defeated sin and satan which afflicts mankind with the above predicament.Then he power to all who believe in him to live righteously and work miracles,signs and wonders through his name.
If you believe in him this authority is given to you to have dominion over your circumstances.Just exercise faith and live righteously on daily basis.see (luke 10:19,mark 16:17-18,mattew 18:18).

THE CLEANSING POWER IN TH BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
As a crown of thorns was forced on Christ's head,blood gushed out,when nails pierced through his hands and feet,blood gushed out as well.
So by the cleansing power in the blood that flowed from his head,hands and feet we become cleansed and washed from all the sins we might have committed against God,if we repent and seek for pardon.
Through Christ's atoning blood we stand clean,pure,and justified before him and have access freely into His presence every moment and into his kingdom.(Ephesians 2:18)
The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses through the soul of a repented sinner from all unrighteousness.it continously acts as a cleanser for the soul and life of every converted christian,as long as he feels sorry for every sin committed against God(1 john 1:8-9)
The blood of Jesus also acts as a coverage and a weapon of warfare for faithful follower of Christ.(Matthew 26:28,Hebrews 10:14,Revelation 12:11,Exodus 12:12-13)
In the old testament dispensation God commanded the israelites,to offer animal blood on the alter for cleansing their sins,but after using the animal blood,they would go back to sin.Evidently animal blood was not powerful enough to cleanse the sin of man before the eyes of God.So God out of his love for man determined to prepare a lamb for himself to be offered for the sins of Man once and for all.(John 1:29).Jesus Christ is the lamb of God offered on the cross by Him to cleanse man from once and for all_no other lamb or animal,no other man either but Jesus the begotten son of God.(Hebrews 10:14,John !4:6,Acts 4:12).
THE CALL FOR SALVATION
Have i any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the lord, and not that he should repent and live? Ezekiel !8:23.

HE RECEIVED THE PUNISHMENT FOR OUR SINS ON HIS BODY.
Jesus Christ,through his sufferings on the cross received from God the Father the punishment we ought to receive for disobeying his laws.
Isaiah 53:4-8 says "surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows,yet we esteem him stricken,smitten of God and afflicted.But he was wounded for our transgressions,he was bruised for our iniquities,the chastisement of our peace was upon him(he was punished so that we will peace with God) and with his strife we were healed.All we like sheep have gone astray.We have turned everyone to his own way and the lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.(he collected our punishment o that we will go free and acquitted).He was oppressed and he was afflicted,yet he opened not his mouth;he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter and as sheep before her shearers is dumb,so he opened not his mouth.He was taken from prison and judgement;and who shall declare his generation?for he was caught off out of the land of the living,for the transgression of my people was he stricken.(see also Daniel 9:26,Matthew 26:59-63)
Anyone who repents and accepts Jesus Christ into his heart and believes he died and rose again for his justification will not be punished again in eternity by God for his sins.(see Revelation 21:8,John 3:18,36)
A CALL FOR SALVATION

THE NATURE OF MAN BEFORE CONVERSION.
The unregenerated person is in darkness just as the face of the earth was in darkness before God declared light upon it.The inherited sinful nature of man from Adam positions him in darkness like the earth without form,void,and dark.so he is in confusion,roaming about in darkness.He lives in all form of unrighteousness,transgressing the law of God. Man is aware of Gods existence since he is human and possesses a spirit,soul and body. The spirit of God hovers around him using his conscience to convict him of his sinful nature,but he cannot save himself from sin and the captivity of satan. However the very day he hears the gospel of salvation preached to him and he repents,God declares light upon his life as he declared upon the face of the earth.(Genesis 1 vs 3).
God's declaration of light upon the face of the earth transformed it.From that day light shines upon the face of the earth, the whole creation radiates God's Glory.Salvation of a sinner is made possible to the sinner by the acceptance of the word of God and confessing Jesus as personal Saviour and Lord. The power in God's word which he has recieved transforms him the same way it transformed the face of the earth.As he recieves Jesus into his life by accepting the word preached to him and this subsequently empowers him to live above sin.Now he has become recreated by means of salvation.(2 corithians 5 vs 17).
Meanwhile he has become a new creation in the site of God. As his life radiates the Glory of God on daily basis,God establishes an intimate relationship with him.

JESUS CHRIST PAID FOR YOUR SINS!

Jesus Christ through His death on the cross has recieved the punishment you ought to receive for your sin and rebellion against God. If you acknowledge and accept Him now as your saviour you will go to heaven when you die. You will live a glorious new life in heaven with God where there is no Sin, suffering, tears, pains, sickness or sorrow. You will live forever with God in eternity; Jesus is the only way to heaven. ( John 14 vs.6, Act 4vs.12). But if you reject JESUS, you will go to hell fire and be tormented forever with fire and brimstone and live with the devil who recieved you to rebel against God. You wonder if this is true?; The bible says: Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death neither sorrow, nor crying, neither she there be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable and murderers, and whoremongers( harlots) and sorcerers, and isolated and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

There are thousands of false gods. But there is only one creator and true Good, and one saviour, Jesus Christ. The true God is the God who revealed Himself to Moses and gave him the moral law. That is the God you will face on the judgement day if you fail to repent from your sins and give your life to Jesus Christ the only saviour of the world, who died and rose again for your Justification.

Be not deceived, neither fornicators nor idolaters, nor thieves, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6 vs.9-10

WE ARE TO TRUST IN GOD. Part 2.
Our only recourse in times of unfavourable circumstances is to have confidence in God. Then seek His face with prayers consistently, and tŕust Him to bring solutions to our problems. God does not fail because He is always faithful to those who trusts in Him. Do not rely on men or other gods this year, because they are not reliable. Psalm 118 vs.8-9 states: " It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes".
If you are a genuine Christian, intimately related to God through Jesus Christ, you need to recognise His love and faithfulness to you the previous years, then trust Him this year to fulfil His promises written in the scriptures. But if you are not a genuine christain intimately relatef to God, you may not recognise his love and faithfulness or trust him to fulfil His promises in the scriptures to you. Then you need to be reconciled with God, who is the source of all things as you move into the future. Reading God's word- the bible brings us closer to Him and enhances our confidence in Him. (See Joshua 1 vs.38, John 5 vs.39)
Forgetting God's previous blessings and faithfulness and focussing on your challenges and difficulties leads to a lifestyle of grumbling wherever we allow our circumstances to control our faith and confidence in God, instead of trusting him to care for us as He promised in His word. Do not allow your circumstances to lead you to a lifestyle of grumbling this year, rather remember God's previous blessings and faithfulness with gratitude.
" Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made unto God".
Phil 4 vs.6.
