The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) was officially launched on the 4th of January 1981. The ministry, which took off from a humble beginning in an uncompleted building, has grown into a household name with over 160 branches in 10 nations of the world. oss the land, the ministry has kept the vision of Jesus Christ, which is to go to the entire world and make disciples of all nations, alive. The ministry has several arms all geared at reaching the "unreached" wherever they can be found. To this end, the ministry has the:
Prisons Outreach, which ministers to inmates in various prisons and remand homes; Word Ambassadors-this group of people organises crusades in various towns and villages; and the We Care Ministry, which ministers to the less privileged through relief items, food stuffs, soft short term loans and encouraging petty trading in order to make each individual self sustained. Others are Dunamis Publications, which co-ordinates all literature generated from the ministry, Maranatha Power Play House/Overcomers Drama Ministry, which ministers the word through various anointed drama presentations, The Singles Fellowship, set up to encourage the singles on how to enjoy and make the most of their single-hood while preparing them for the responsibilities of the married life, and The Intercessory Unit, the arm of the church that is dedicated to prayer not only for the ministry and programs of the ministry, but for the Body of Christ as a whole and Nigeria as a nation. There are also the Counsellors, Greeters, Ushers, and God's Army Bible Training Center where ministers are trained and prepared for effectiveness in ministry, Power in the Word Network-the Radio and Television outreach of the ministry, The Music Department (Pentecostal Singers) which is the arm of the church that ministers the word through excellent music and has been rightly tagged the best choir in the world. Finally, the Ministries in Training, which lays the basic foundation of Christian living in the lives of new converts, and the Home Fellowship, which is the arm of the Church that makes the church small enough to reach everyone that comes in contact with her. And also the ministry embarks on different events and projects that are geared towards reaching the common man and giving then a new face of life.
