2 Timothy 3:15 says that the holy scriptures are able to make you wise unto salvation. But the wisdom that comes from deep, sustained, Spirit-led engagement with the Word does not stop at salvation. It extends into every dimension of your life: your decisions, your relationships, your leadership, your timing, your speech, your discernment, your responses under pressure.
And the defining characteristic of this wisdom is not just that it is good. It is that it is precise. The Word of God in your spirit functions like a surgeon's scalpel, not a machete that hacks at everything in sight, but a precise, skillful instrument that knows exactly where to cut, how deep to go, and what to leave untouched.
Proverbs says wisdom is the principal thing. It says in all your getting, get understanding. Because a life governed by scriptural wisdom is a life where almost nothing is wasted, not your words, not your seasons, not your suffering, not your opportunities. You begin to move through life with an accuracy that cannot be self-manufactured. It is the fruit of the Word, alive and working in a spirit that has made room for it.
Get the Word. Stay in the Word. Let it make you wise, precisely, profoundly, permanently.
