SLICNations

SLICNations Apostle Emmanuel Etim Ministries (AEEM), also known as Spirit Life International Church (SLICNations). Where we connect and share the Spirit Life in Christ.

We have mastered knowledge about animal life, microscopic life, plant life, aquatic life, cosmic life, human life and others but not much has been learned about the Spirit Life which is received through the LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth. At Spirit Life, we learn, practice, participate and impart the Spirit Life in Christ.

You can read the Bible every day and still understand nothing because the Word of God is spirit, and spiritual things are only spiritually discerned.

It is not your intelligence that unlocks scripture. It is your spiritual ear. Tune it. Train it. Open it to the frequency of God.

God doesn't speak to you from inside your situation. He speaks from outside of time, where everything He has promised is already done.

Stop measuring His Word by your calendar. It is finished before it even begins.

Whatever understanding you choose to have must first be established in scripture. Not by culture. Not by philosophy. Not by how you feel about it. The Bible already has the definition, your job is to find it, believe it, and live by it.

There are two ways to look at the scripture. You can look at it from the ground, where you are standing right now, in your situation, in your pain, in your need.

Or you can connect to the satellite view, the big picture, the full agenda of God from beginning to end. The moment you get the satellite view, your decisions change.

What you see changes. How you understand everything that is happening around you changes completely.

2 Timothy 3:15 says that the holy scriptures are able to make you wise unto salvation. But the wisdom that comes from deep, sustained, Spirit-led engagement with the Word does not stop at salvation. It extends into every dimension of your life: your decisions, your relationships, your leadership, your timing, your speech, your discernment, your responses under pressure.

And the defining characteristic of this wisdom is not just that it is good. It is that it is precise. The Word of God in your spirit functions like a surgeon's scalpel, not a machete that hacks at everything in sight, but a precise, skillful instrument that knows exactly where to cut, how deep to go, and what to leave untouched.

Proverbs says wisdom is the principal thing. It says in all your getting, get understanding. Because a life governed by scriptural wisdom is a life where almost nothing is wasted, not your words, not your seasons, not your suffering, not your opportunities. You begin to move through life with an accuracy that cannot be self-manufactured. It is the fruit of the Word, alive and working in a spirit that has made room for it.

Get the Word. Stay in the Word. Let it make you wise, precisely, profoundly, permanently.

This is one of the most quietly dangerous traps in the modern church, the pressure on leaders to answer every question that is put to them, regardless of whether the question is valid, scriptural, or even answerable.

Not every question deserves an answer. Some questions are built on false premises. Some questions are rooted in rebellion dressed as curiosity. Some questions are designed not to find truth but to justify a position the person has already decided to hold.

And when a man of God is pressured, in a public setting, to respond to a question that should never have been asked, the best he can do is give the right answer to the wrong question, which is, by definition, the wrong answer. Jesus understood this perfectly. When the Pharisees came to Him with trick questions, He rarely answered the question as asked. He answered the question behind the question: the real issue, the real heart matter, the real need.

That is the mark of wisdom. Stop asking questions designed to keep you comfortable in disobedience. Start asking the questions that lead to transformation. Because the quality of your questions determines the quality of your revelation.

This is why two people can sit under the same sermon, read the same passage, open the same Bible and walk away with completely different conclusions. It is not the scripture that changed. It is the lens they brought to it.

The theologian brings his systematic framework and finds what fits his tradition. The academician brings his historical method and finds what confirms his scholarship. The wounded believer brings their pain and finds only the verses that validate their position. And none of them are necessarily lying, they are finding what their lens was calibrated to find.

But Jesus said the Holy Spirit would guide you into all truth. Not some truth. Not the truth that fits your background. All truth. And the only way to access all truth is to lay down every other lens: your education, your denomination, your pain, your culture, your assumptions and come to the Word with the Spirit of God as your only filter.

Every other approach will cost you something you cannot afford to lose.
