DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY APRIL 19th

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A GIFT FROM GOD

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:17 KJV

We have so much glamorised and empowered sin, as if sin is the issue. Sin is not the issue. The issue is your understanding of your righteousness. You must understand your righteousness. Once you understand your righteousness status, you will be another man. You will begin to walk in such a way that when the devil sees you, he will be afraid.
That is why the bible says in Romans 1:17, For therein is the righteousness of God revealed. It is God's righteousness. Righteousness is not what you earn. You don't deserve it. You don't merit it. It is a gift that you received the day you gave your heart to Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says; “for he had made him…” Who is “Him"? He had made Jesus to be sin who knew no sin. For what reason? That we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
Jesus had become sin, and he came to take away sin. And so, if He has become sin and has taken it away, sin no longer exists for a child of God. So, stop looking at sin.

So what should the believer look at? Righteousness! Always say to yourself: I am righteous. “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” Who is that man?
That is the first Adam. Death reigned by one. Death had control and dominion over you because of Adam’s disobedience.

In the same vein, much more, they who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign. Notice that the scripture says, those who receive, not those who do something to get. They receive it because it is a gift.

Beloved, it is time for you to start enjoying the gift of righteousness that has been given to you.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY 11th APRIL

LET CHALLENGES MOTIVATE YOU TO ACTION

“And David said, what have I now done? Is there not a cause? 1 Samuel 17:29 KJV

Beloved, there are battles you cannot fight or handle by yourself. That is why God makes advanced information available to you and tells you what He has already packaged. When He gives you information, He already knows He will handle the giants by Himself. Don’t let the giants terrorise nor frighten you, because God, who spoke, is taking responsibility.

He is committed to ensuring that what He spoke comes to pass. So, settle it in your heart that you will not be defeated. You will not see shame. And you will not be embarrassed. Whatever weapon they have fashioned against your progress in life, to laugh at you, to mock and ridicule you, will not prosper. No amount of obstacles can stop you.

The army of Israel was running from Goliath. But David saw beyond muscles and bones. As far as David was concerned, Goliath was his bread. The battle was going to announce him. Even if Saul ran, for David, the battle was his announcement.

Ponder this! What was the motivation for a 17-year-old boy to fight an experienced giant? He understood that the battle would announce me! ‘Hitherto, I have been hidden in obscurity, but the moment for my announcement to showcase what God put inside me has come.’

When your moment of announcement comes, no one will hinder you. It is not permitted for you to face challenges in the marketplace, and somebody will defeat you or shove you aside. No man will take your place.

Your harvest will not go to caterpillars. Covenant will speak for you. What killed others will not kill you. What frustrates others will not frustrate you. Your case is a different case. Your testimony will not be cut short. I stop every delay in your life. You will collect your spoils. You will eat of the good in the land. Goodness and mercy shall follow you. The world will hear your story.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL
TUESDAY 3rd MARCH

PREPARE FOR OPPORTUNITIES

“While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.” - Matthew 25:5–9 (KJV)

Beloved, how prepared are you for the opportunities and breakthroughs you are expecting from the Lord? According to the Scriptures, the bridegroom arrived at midnight, a moment of suddenness, when most were asleep.
The foolish virgins were unprepared and began to panic, while the wise were calm and ready. How did we know the foolish were unprepared? They took no extra oil. Those who were wise made provision ahead of time.
Opportunities rarely announce their arrival. They often come suddenly and quietly, testing the readiness of those who have been preparing in silence. Your level of preparedness determines whether you can take advantage of the opportunities God brings your way.
Scripture declares, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV).
Everyone will have moments of divine opportunity, but only those who are ready will maximize them.
You have prayed. You have believed. But the question remains, when the door finally opens, will you be ready to walk through it? When your defining moment comes, will you be positioned to seize it? The wise virgins were ready and went in with the bridegroom. The foolish virgins, however, were left running around and missed their moment.

Beloved, do not let that be your story. Be vigilant. Stay spiritually alert. Keep your oil burning. May you never miss your day of visitation in Jesus’ name.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL
MONDAY 2nd MARCH

BE A WISE CHRISTIAN

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” - Matthew 25:1–4 (KJV)

According to the Scriptures, the wise virgins took oil with them. These represent believers who, after receiving salvation, continue to seek the Lord and grow in knowledge, understanding, and intimacy with Him. They never assume they have “arrived.” Like the Apostle Paul, they keep pressing forward to know Christ more deeply each day.
Beloved, the wise believer is one who continually seeks to understand his identity and purpose in Christ. Such a believer constantly asks: Who am I in Christ? What do I have in Christ? What can I do through Christ? What authority do I carry? How can I live victoriously in a world filled with temptations? What does God require of me now that I am saved?
When Paul encountered the Lord on the road to Damascus, he asked, “...Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” And the Lord replied, “Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” (Acts 9:6 KJV). The wise Christian understands that after salvation comes submission to divine instruction. It is unwise to neglect spiritual training and guidance.
The wise took oil in their lamp, this signifies obedience. They followed instructions wholeheartedly. When told to give, they gave. When called to pray, they prayed. When encouraged to serve, they served. These believers are teachable, passionate, and fully engaged in the things of God.
They do not rebel or hold back. Their gifts and spiritual fire keep increasing because they continually yield to the Holy Spirit and live out their reality in Christ, aware that they are in a spiritual battle here on earth.

Beloved, choose to be among the wise, those who stay aflame for the Lord, ever learning, ever growing, and ever obedient to His call.
