EXCUSED BUT CAUGHT
May you never be excused but caught! Amen!
Excused but caught is the tragedy of indecision to follow Christ and do His work.
Many who thought they were smart later discovered that they weren’t as smart as they thought. “Chai! Had I known is always the sinners last prayer.” May you not pray this prayer of regret?
I had a younger brother who had the call of God upon his life but the desire to have money and be like others did not allow him to answer the call wholeheartedly. Even when he wanted to obey, wrong advisers will not let him obey the Lord’s call upon his life. Be careful who you allow to influence your decisions in life they may be one of Satan's agent in disguise.
This my younger brother was an entrepreneur by birth and industrious to the core. However, he missed the most essential aspect of life –being committed to God. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Mark 8:36 NKJV
For every calling of God upon your life there is the grace of God for it. That grace does not last forever, but has an expiration date attached to it. Once this grace has expired, you are on your own. What does it mean for the grace to expire? It means that you are now at the mercy of your enemies. God’s protection that has been over you is removed. What you may have gone through in life unscathed may not happen like that again. This is what it means to be ‘Excused but Caught.’
My brother had swarm terrible and dangerous waters of this world and came out unhurt. He felt it will remain like that without doing anything about the call. Don’t play with the call of God upon your life; that could be the ploy of the devil to get you!
Once you are out of the will of God for your life, you are now treading on dangerous zone. There is a saying that “foolish men run on the path where Angels of God fear to walk’’
You may have abandoned the call of God upon your life for what you may term more lucrative business. This may however be dangerous to your existence as an individual. God may have excused you to continue living in your self-will. This is very dangerous as you might be caught by the enemy one day. It is not just about being killed in this life but being eternally doomed is the most disheartening part of it. The call of God might include: being born again, being a minister of God, working in the vineyard of God and a host of others.
My highly esteemed reader which category do you currently belong to? Are you using the grace of God to work for Him or are you pushing His grace to the point of expiration in your life? Retrace your steps now, for tomorrow might be too late!
Jesus loves you: give your life to Him and receive eternal peace.
