Any time I see Chris Delvan,I thank the Lord and bless His Name. I finished from ABU,Zaria, same university he graduated from.

I remember the story he told us during an FCS(Fellowship of Christian students) outreach about his salvation. This was a man that was wasting in sin, smoking w**d. In same hostel he stayed another student named Philip was a prayer warrior. Philip could walk out of his room lost in speaking in tongues heading to a field to pray. He was always praying for Chris Delvan and Chris Delvan friends,he also preaches to them. Some times,Chris Delvan would mock him, in his words "oh, this one has run mad. His parents sent him to school, see what he's doing". But Philip never gave up,and one day Philip told he that he(Chris Delvan) will preach this same Gospel.

Many years after they left school, God arrested Chris Delvan. He developed a very strange hunger for God. He read about 100 Christian books within a space one year(I think less than a year) . The fire of the Holy Ghost was burning in his bones. He read a portion of the scripture that says "and Jesus wept", he met many persons including his pastor to ask them why Jesus wept. He could not accept their answer, his passion for the Lord has crystalized an answer in his burning soul. One day he called Philip to tell him he has surrendered his life to Jesus,and Philip told him that's not a surprise on account of the investment of prayer for his salvation......Pastor Chris Delvan has been preaching same gospel that saved him for years!

Any time I see him,my heart leaps for joy. I thank God, I also thank Philip who I may not get to meet.
