*THE BODY OF CHRIST*

*(1 CORINTHIANS 12:27-31*
“And you are the body of Christ, and members in part.” V.27)

*MESSAGE*

The church is a body of Christ wherein each member that joins is designated to fit into a part. Let it be noted that every part is equally important because the body of Christ must be without blemish. The gift or ability given to each individual will determine the part they fall into. Every part of the body cannot be the head but we all have connections to the head through the brain.

The body of Christ is divided today because everyone is trying to fulfill their selfish ambitions. We often forget that unity is so important if we need to really overcome the devil. How beautiful will christendom have been if we all aligned to the original vision of the church!

Know that the fact you are the head of a department does not make you better than your subjects. If you don’t work hand in hand with them and respect them, you are seen by God as a failure. Being a prophet for instance, does not make you better than other church members, it is God’s gift to edify the church and not become proud. When you hurt other parts of the body of Christ with your gift/position then you are no different from the antichrist.

(*Prayer Point:*
Almighty Father, help me avoid working against the progress of the body of Christ that I may not be an outcast in Jesus name. Amen.)

SHARING HIS G.R.A.C.E.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

—2 Corinthians 5:20

In Christ Jesus, you and I have received an astounding gift… it’s the gift of grace. So let me share a little acrostic that will make it easy to share Christ with those he brings across your path. It’s based on the letters G-R-A-C-E:

“G” stands for the “Gift” of salvation. You and I can do nothing to earn his grace; it’s a gift. Ephesians 2:8 says, For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God….

“R” stands for “Repentance.” To repent means to turn. In our sin, we were walking away from God, but then we turned from sin and began to follow Christ!

“A” stands for “Almighty” God. We need to develop a relationship with Almighty God… the one who loves us and who has a wonderful plan for our lives.

“C” stands for “Commitment.” You and I are called to live in a committed relationship with Jesus, the Bridegroom. He died for us, he lives within us, and he’s coming again to receive us to himself!

“E” stands for “Eternal” life. We receive the gift of eternal life by faith the moment we come to Christ!

YOU AND I CAN DO NOTHING TO EARN HIS GRACE; IT’S A GIFT!
