AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD, WE SHALL SERVE THE LORD (JOSHUA 24:15)
In this world, every person serves something or someone. The key question is: whom or what are you serving? We are encouraged to choose to serve the Lord. This should be the heartfelt testimony of every Christian.
Isaiah 45:19 reminds us that God calls us to seek Him, declaring that He has not spoken in secret or in a land of darkness, nor has He said to seek Him in vain—He speaks truth and righteousness. God desires our service, but He does not want it to be empty or fruitless.
True service to God means worshiping Him in spirit and in truth, as Jesus teaches (John 4:24). When we approach Him, we should do so with genuine expectation and sincerity. The Bible also warns that the flesh and the Spirit are in conflict—the desires of the flesh oppose the Spirit, and the Spirit opposes the flesh (Galatians 5:17)—so we must worship with deliberate, conscious effort, not casually or half-heartedly.
Stop worshiping created things; instead, worship the Creator of all things and all people. Entrust everything—your life, your concerns, your future—into His hands.
Ways to Serve the Lord. Here are some biblical principles for serving Him faithfully:
1. God desires us fully for Himself (Jeremiah 31:33): He is a jealous God who longs to write His law on our hearts and claim us as His own. Bowing to evil altars, idols, or anything else dishonors Him and divides our loyalty.
2. He calls us into intimate fellowship (Isaiah 54:5): Your Maker is your husband—the Lord Almighty, your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth. He has paid the ultimate price with His blood, so respond with continual praise and companionship in His presence.
3. Commit to memorizing and internalizing His Scriptures — letting His Word dwell richly in you.
4. Teach your household the ways of faith — passing on the truth to your family.
5. Share His love with others — proclaiming the gospel boldly shows that you are truly proud of the Lord you serve.
6. Obey His commandments (John 14:15) — “If you love me, keep my commands.” Obedience flows from love.
7. Stand up for Him, even in difficult times (Matthew 16:24) — deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Him faithfully, covering for His name and glory when challenges arise.

Practical Ways to Demonstrate Your Love for God: To show genuine love for Him:
1. Deny yourself comforts, such as keeping vigil or sacrificing sleep for prayer and worship.
2. Sacrifice your time willingly for His work and purposes.
3. Engage in fasting to humble yourself and draw nearer to Him.
4. Care for His sanctuary — whether the church building, the body of Christ, or creating spaces for worship.
5. Learn to overlook offenses for the sake of the gospel, extending grace and forgiveness.
6. Give Him your best, not your leftovers — offer the first fruits of your time, talents, resources, and devotion, not whatever remains after everything else.
May we all choose to serve the Lord wholeheartedly, worshiping Him in spirit and truth, and living lives that honor Him above all things.

WHAT PLEASURE CAN GOD DERIVE FROM ME: REVELATIONS 4 vs 11

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

The above text reveals to us that all creation exists for God’s pleasure.

The very fact that you are here alive, and breathing is a testament to God’s purposeful design.

He created you not by accident but with an intention.

There are some pleasures He wants from us, but unfortunately in life, if you do not fulfill these pleasures, He will discard you and instantly find a replacement.

So, ask yourself, ‘What pleasure can God derive from my life? There are vacancies which is the reason why God created us to fill those voids. Is God deriving that pleasure from you?

God created us for relationship—not only with Him but also with one another. When we love others as Christ loves us, we reflect His character and bring Him pleasure. When we pursue holiness, study His Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us, we fulfill God’s desire for our lives.

Below are the pleasures God wants to derive from us:
1. Holiness for Intimacy with God (Zechariah 3; 1 Peter 1:15-16): “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do”). Holiness means being set apart, living in purity and alignment with God’s character. Zechariah 3 illustrates God’s cleansing of Joshua the high priest, symbolizing His desire to purify us for a close relationship. When we pursue holiness, we remove barriers to intimacy with God, allowing us to experience His presence and bring Him joy).

2. Loving Ourselves and Others (John 14:34): A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” God, who is love, created us for relationship—with Him and others. Loving ourselves means recognizing our worth as His creation, while loving others reflects Christ’s sacrificial love.

3. Obedience: When we obey God's commands, we demonstrate our love and trust in Him. We show Him that we value His Word and His ways. Obedience reflects our faith in His wisdom and love, bringing Him joy as we live out His purpose.

4. Have a forgiving spirit. Forgiving spirit reflects God’s mercy and grace. By forgiving others, we emulate Christ’s forgiveness, fostering reconciliation and peace. Forgiveness aligns with God’s heart, demonstrating His love and healing relationships, which delights Him.

5. Service to Him (Matthew 25 vs 14 – 16): The Parable of the Talents teaches that God entrusts us with gifts—time, talents, and resources—to serve His kingdom. Faithful service, whether big or small, honors God by advancing His purposes and blessing others. Serving Him with our abilities shows gratitude and stewardship, bringing Him joy as we contribute to His work.

6. Fasting and prayers. Fasting demonstrates dependence on God, while prayer deepens our relationship with Him. These practices focus our hearts on God’s will, seeking His guidance and strength. Fasting and prayer show our reliance on and devotion to Him, fostering spiritual intimacy that brings Him pleasure.

7. Faithfulness (Hebrews 11 vs 6): Without faith, we cannot please God. Staying faithful through trials brings Him joy, reflecting our deep trust and reliance on His promises.
Each action aligns us with His character and purpose, bringing Him pleasure by fulfilling our role as His creation. By living these out, we not only honor God but also experience the joy of a life rooted in His love and will.
What pleasure can God derive from you? He delights in your worship, obedience, and faithfulness. He takes pleasure in your growth, your trust, and your hope in Him.
As you go about your day, remember that you are created for God's pleasure. You are His masterpiece, His workmanship. Live in a way that brings Him joy, and you'll experience the pleasure of His presence in your life.

PRAYERS:
1. Oh God arise and let my enemies be scattered in the name of Jesus.
2. Every wall standing between me and my destiny, be broken in the name of Jesus.
3. My testimony for year 2025, where are you, appear by fire in the mighty name of Jesus.
4. Power limiting my advancement physically and spiritually, summersault and scatter in the name of Jesus.
5. Any power that says I will not go far in any good thing, you are a liar, scatter and die in the mighty name of Jesus.
6. Whether the devil likes it or not, I move forward in the name of Jesus.

*POWER OF FAITH: MATTHEW 17 VS 14 – 20*

Excerpts from today's message.

Faith is an important ingredient needed when we seek for miracles. You may be a constant church goer, but if you lack faith, you cannot receive a miracle.

Hebrews 11 vs 6 states that without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

This faith propels the work of God to be made manifest in the lives of believers.

Let us go through some of the power faith carries in the lives of believers.
1. In Matthew 17 vs 17 – 20 Jesus expressed frustration at the lack of faith among His disciples and the crowd after they failed to heal a demon-possessed boy. He rebuked the demon, healing the boy instantly. When the disciples asked why they could not drive out the demon, Jesus explained that their lack of faith was the issue, stating that even faith as small as a mustard seed could move mountains.
2. Mark 11 vs 23 highlights the strength of unwavering faith, teaching that if you believe without any doubt, you can command a mountain to move into the sea, and it will obey. Trusting in God’s power turns the impossible into reality. Doubt in our minds often blocks outcomes, as it undermines belief in what’s possible. Let your faith remain steadfast, aligning your heart’s desires with the confidence that God can fulfill them. Even a trace of doubt can hinder miracles, as faith is essential for God to work wonders in our lives. When we seek miracles, God asks in return, “Do you trust I can do this?” So, let us walk in faith with God, trusting that He will guide us forward and lead us to success.
Let us examine some individuals in the bible who walked with God in faith
1. Matthew 9 vs 20 – 21 describes a woman with a bleeding condition who, with great faith, touched the edge of Jesus' robe, believing it would heal her. Her faith led to her immediate healing by Jesus. This was a great exercise of faith by that woman that Jesus even felt a power moving out of Him. Do we have that type of faith that if we knee down before the church altar and put our requests before God, miracles will happen in our lives?
2. Luke 1 vs 35 – 38 describes the angel Gabriel telling Mary that the Holy Spirit will come upon her, and she will conceive Jesus, the Son of God. Despite her initial confusion, Mary responds with faith, accepting God's will, saying, "Let it be to me according to your word." Through our faith, there is nothing difficult for God to do. But, if you don’t believe, what God cannot do is numerous. May nothing be impossible for God to do in our lives I the name of Jesus.
3. Matthew 15 vs 20 - 28 tells the story of a Canaanite woman who relentlessly pleaded with Jesus to heal her demon-possessed daughter. Though Jesus initially challenges her faith, she responded with humility and steadfast trust. Jesus commended her remarkable faith and instantly healed her daughter. Believers, our faith is the key that drives us toward success and fulfills our heart’s desires.

Only through faith can we reach our goals and become candidates for God’s signs and wonders.
Now, let us look at Importance of Faith in our lives:
1. Faith Connects us with God (Ephesians 3 vs 12) states, "In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence." This verse underscores that faith is the bridge that allows believers to have a personal and direct relationship with God.
2. Faith provides assurance (Hebrews 11 vs 1): "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." This explains faith as a deep trust and confidence in God's promises, it provides believers with certainty and hope, enabling them to trust God even when outcomes are not immediately visible.
3. Faith gives hope and peace: Romans 12 vs 12 teaches that faith fosters hope, bringing joy in God’s promises, and peace, enabling patience in trials and steadfastness in prayer.
4. Faith Transforms Life (Galatians 2 vs 20): Faith in Christ transforms life by replacing the old self with Christ’s presence, enabling believers to live a new life guided by trust in Jesus’ love and sacrifice.
5. Faith Provides Peace (Romans 15 vs 13): Faith in God brings peace and joy, filling believers with hope through the Holy Spirit’s power, enabling a confident and peaceful trust in God’s promises.
6. Faith is a gift (Ephesians 2 vs 8 – 9): faith is a gift from God, through which His grace saves us, not by our works, ensuring that salvation is entirely His doing.

Father, as we hold on to the elm of your robe in faith, stretch forth your hand and heal us completely and give unto us the gift of faith for signs and wonders in the name of Jesus.
